I thought some more Marvel Legends figures would be revealed at CCXP19, what happened?

So have we already moved onto the Black Widow wave and the upcoming waves going into the new year? I barely saw anyone mention anything about the Bro-Thor wave. Even our MCU diehards here were quiet about it...

Good point. There weren't even photos of a single completed Bro-Thor from thread regulars.

Honestly, there's not much to say about the wave. Half the figures are repaints/retools. The remaining three are good figures but the Endgame waves overall this year have just felt like filler. |

Bro-Thor is great. The Iron Man is decent but it sucks that the Gaunlet is for Smart Hulk and not Tony. Cap sucks - sold him off. Kitbashed the non-sunglasses Bro-Thor on Hemidell body for a MCU Odinson. Put Hemidell head on Scourge body to make a new bad guy. Threw away Valkrye's Head and replaced with Enchantress. Need to replace her hands. Kept Vison. The wave is great for kitbasing. That is about it. The last 2 Avengers wave were not great.

Bro Thor wave...I got Heimdall from amazon recently, I hated to do it but I cancelled by DS order for the one figure since it was two months past and I wasn't sure they'd be getting more. A one and done for the wave for me.
Looking forward to "probably" seeing the AoA BAF reveal this weekend. maybe the Cuckoos? I can't imagine what else is immediately lined up in the next few coming months. |

The Bro-Thor wave has been a total pass for me, when I've seen it. I may pick up Heimdall at some point, but if I never got him, I wouldn't be heartbroken.
I'm hoping we get to see at least one more new figure for the Strong Guy wave, since we're on such a good 90s X-Force roll. Maybe Siryn or Feral? Or maybe do a couple more modern X-Force characters, like Fantomex (I hate him, but if they remade him, I'd grab him like the X-Shill I am) or, hoping against all hope... Marrow (though I'd really prefer the blue-and-green X-Men costume to her X-Force outfit, but I'll take what I can get at this point).

The Cap figure makes me want them to eventually release redone versions of all the characters from the first Avengers film. I could definitely use better Avengers Hulk (I mean, the Endgame Wave 2 figure just needs an angry Hulk head to fit I think), Loki, Hawkeye, and Widow figures as well as some Chitauri. I don't think they did the Endgame figures 'right'. They definitely could've stuck to movie-only characters to lower it to two waves. Not to mention, I'd rather have had Final-Battle Thorbowski, and maybe a Scarlet Witch with more energy effects. A final battle Hulk would also be nice. |

This reminds me. I still need to get that Darth Maul. I remember being tempted enough to get a bootleg of his first release before it was announced he was coming back as part of the archive series. Now that he's available, I keep passing him up. I figure at this rate. I'll miss him at retail prices and be unwilling to pay ebay prices and then contemplate picking up the bootleg again. lol!
As an MCU collector, I want most of it but I haven't been motivated enough to pay regular prices for any of them. I am pretty sure that I'll skip on Cap and the Vision figures. I most likely won't put together Bro-Thor either. |

I've had the entire Thor (BAF) wave since October, and it's may favorite wave of the year.
Captain America: The body is outdated, but what a difference a head sculpt and paint job can make. Iron Man: Right up there with the Mark 7, Hulkbuster, and Mark 46 as my favorite Iron Man armors. Iron Patriot: Definitely in my top 10 of 2019. Vision: Love that Hasbro went this route, so I can add it to my Civil War display. Valkyrie: Another gem. Love her design. Heimdall: The best face sculpt of the bunch, and the scars are a nice touch. Thor: Come on. This guy is all types of fun. I still want the final battle version, but this guy is just too darn cool. I committed to collecting MCU only, and it's really paid off. Endgame wave 3 was a joy for me. I won't have to buy another figure until the Black Widow wave, so I'm going to sit patiently until we get those. |

Reading on Fwoosh that Hasbro had their Dortmund convention and didn't show anything Marvel related. Sad times! I guess we'll find out the AOA BAF from preorder listings, not a con, since the next con is in Feb and this is due out in March, I think. Of course, they could just not put preorders up until after NYTF.

I'm starting to experience that Black Friday hangover I've heard people talk about. It's Saturday morning and I just opened a bunch of shipments that arrived yesterday and this morning. I'm elated to have so much new stuff to play with. However, I made the mistake of going through the receipts. Let's just say I am going to hate January when I start seeing these charges on my credit card. This must be what it feels like to wake up next to a hot woman after a crazy night in Las Vegas. Later you find out that she's a hooker that you married during said crazy night.

So the Stepford Cuckoos Walgreens Exclusive is confirmed, as is Black Costume Storm (unfortunately just a repaint of the Jim Lee version from this year).

Nice! Of course just like Moonstar I'll need all three. And the black outfit Jim Lee Storm, also nice, but I guess that means the rektangular rumor reference to Storm in black was to this, not a FA Storm. God I hope she happens next year.

I feel like I can pass the Storm up. But that's me, to each their own. The Stepford's on the other hand are a must buy. But I can't help but wonder if I should get 3 and display them with all 3 heads, or buy 5 and use the same head on all of them for the Grant Morrison era feel. Oh boy.
