Thank the gods I have no waves anymore.
The only figures left for me to buy this year are Morbius, Pyro/Rogue, the Nimrod 3 pack, and maybe Falcon. I gave up on waiting for Pulse and ordered Kingpin from Amazon this morning. The Nimrod 3 pack I'm holding off for it to go on sale since I really only want Nimrod. Not that I really even have a place to put Nimrod right now anyway unless I take Onslaught out of the battle shelf and put Nimrod in his place, which is tempting since I know nothing about Onslaught other than he was created by both Magneto and Charles. His story arc came well after I stopped reading X-Men and I have yet to felt the desire to read it.

I hope someone on youtube or whatever does the Jacosta Lilandra headswap... if it looks good then maybe my Silver Sable can go back to being Silver Sable... although the PS4 Spidey game made me not like Silver Sable.
They also need to hurry up and announce Excalibur Shadowcat... which is why I assume they made Firestar have the collar... so they can just reuse her for Shadowcat. I want to give my Kitty Pryde torso to Dani Moonstar. |

You do know that Firestar body was Black Widow's first, right?

It's not really a recommended reading but I do still like Onslaught as an example of a big, ludicrously overpowered villain who's underwritten as hell. He got to be the big boss of the first Marvel vs Capcom game though so that's pretty cool.

I haven’t touched a comicbook since. Wasn’t until the movies I started paying attention to super heroes again. I know people love hating the movie adaptations of storylines, but so far I’ve enjoyed the movies over the books in every instance, with the sole exception being Doctor Doom’s portrayal in the movies.

Kudos to Hasbro for putting out a great selection of figures. A lot to read through after not logging in since the event. I started writing up a personal recap on every single Marvel announcement and then realized how long the list was getting so I narrowed it down a bit.
Impressed by: Kang - definite buy, close to perfect Thunderstrike - great face sculpt and figure, probably not a buy since I don't care for character. Maybe on the secondary market below retail. Thanos - about as perfect as you can get - I just bought the Marvel Select version so not sure if i'll spring $30 for it. Flight Stands - $15 isn't bad at all for 3 flight stands Spider Gwen/Miles - definite buys, love the comic accurate head sculpts Arcade - a figure I normally wouldn't care about but looks like its about as close to perfect as they could've made it Let down by: Joe Fixit BAF - reminds me of the villain from The Mask and would've liked to have seen a more grey skin version Falcon - boring costume design and face sculpt Rogue - that face is way too wide, reminds me of Geena Davis after her facelift Firestar - another figure that people have been clamoring for like Falcon that is a bit underwhelming for me. Reminds me of a rather boring female sculpt from the 1/18 Marvel Universe line. Another figure i'll wait for a sale or hope to pick up loose for under $20. All in all, some great figure announcements that made lots of people happy and disappointed but you can never satisfy everyone.

4 Storm and Thunderbird sets, 4 Deadpool and NTW sets, 4 Magneto and Professor X sets, and 6 Mystiques at the Target close to me. Let’s see what happens this morning when it opens.

Good luck on the hunt. I'll gladly take a Storm/TBird set off of you if you can find an extra!

Not missing a thing. The Onslaught storyline, Spider Clone Saga and “Venom eats chocolate to avoid eating brains” were three of the catalysts that weened me from comics after being a hardcore reader from the 80’s thru the 90’s, and much of the back catalog too. The X-Men were already more Dark Shadows camp soap opera than they were in the earlier days, but Onslaught right after AOA just was too much cheese for me. Around the same time was the Peter Parker’s parents/clone saga and its many retcons and so many other ridiculous tabloid-like storylines.
That would be amazing. Knock them both out a the same time. I hope they don't use some cheap cloth for their cape like they did with the 90s Storm figure though. I'd rather they did what they did with the new Storm.

I find this a little surprising, given how long it took the Inner Circle to sell through. I guess more folks are genuinely "army" building than I would've thought. I wonder if they'll restock. I snagged 4 on Friday, but was debating at least another 2.
No Storm/T-Bird yet in Middle TN, according to PopFindr, although they've starting trickling in at either end of the state (Memphis, Knoxville). Initial distribution looks to be 4 units per store. Again, if PopFindr is to be believed. |

So I just got an email from Hasbro saying I've earned 70,000 Marvel Insider points. What the heck is Marvel Insider?
EDIT: Okay, so I created an account, redeemed my points, now what? I've got like 150,100 points and I have no idea what they do.

Considering the Alpha Flight set released in November and was on sale for Black Friday, no. I'm actually hoping the Nimrod set does go on sale, I can't imagine them dropping off any more than 20% but even 10% off would be enough for me to grab it.

Do you play Contest of Champions and collect digital comics? That’s about the only use I see for them, that means I’ll have 140,000 points forever.
