Speaking of the FF, the new MCU flick announced by Feige; can really help plus up the height of HasLab's Galactus. Must have modular parts (like M.O.D.O.K.'s modular face) to also sell a "Galactus Engine" or an "Infinity Abyss Thanos,"

I hated how they made Sue be Johnny's adopted sister. Why couldn't she just have been his normal sister like in the comics? Were they afraid of having a white dude eventually marry a black woman?

Is the Black Widow 2-Pack gonna be comic based or movie based?

I liked Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, Laurence Fishbourne as Silver Surfer and even Jessica Alba as Sue Storm. I refused to watch the disaster that the last FF movie was. The Roger Corman FF was worse than then Dolph Lundgren Punisher. That last FF movie should have been stopped at the 1st meeting to spare the public and the actors. Kevin will work his magic and give us FF and X-Men that are what they should be. Not some Hollywood PC bullshit.

While I liked Evans as Torch in the previous two movies, the only actor I felt they cast perfectly was Thing. Chiklas was spot on. Everyone else was meh. Not an Alba fan at all, so I hated her as Sue.
I did like Fishburne for Surfer though.

@Ultra Seven - I am looking forward to the Retro Fantastic Four figures. I sincerely hope we get figures for the main wave and/or as Fan Channel Exclusives for Mr. Fantastic, Thing, a fully-visible Invisible Woman, an invisible version of Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm and a fully flamed-on Human Torch. For Mr. Fantastic, maybe they can give him his brown vest from the '90s that's removable. Villains like Mole Man, Blastaar, Psycho-Man, Annihilus and Wizard would be cool. I'm still hoping for a Puppet Master/Alicia Masters two-pack down the line. Also, I agree with Dr Kain that Michael Chiklis was perfectly cast as the Thing. I actually love the 2005 Fantastic Four movie and it's my favorite FF film to date. Its sequel and the Fant4stic reboot, though, are movies I cannot stand.
And personally, I prefer the Roger Corman Fantastic Four over the Dolph Lundgren Punisher, if only for Doctor Doom's best live-action comic costume translation to date and the gloriously-stupid metal fingernails that Doom gets in his final battle with Mr. Fantastic. Also, the musical score is surprisingly okay and I still genuinely feel bad for the composers spending 5 or 10 thousand of their own money to create the score and didn't get paid for their work. As for the classic assortment, I'm wondering what it could be. Retro Iron Man? Bring On The Bad Guys? More Retro figures for the X-Men and/or Spider-Man? Another Marvel Super Heroes Toy Biz wave? Also, as of today/January 18th, I turn 38. That means I qualify for the senior's discounts at all my favorite restaurants now, right? |

It would be cool to get a 2-pack of Bruce Banner and Hulk, be it MCU or comic-based as the most recent one I can remember is the the 80 years one, which comes with first appearance Wolverine I don't want.

@Stuartgreen2019 Happy Birthday to you! I too am very curious what the classic assortment is going to be. I feel it is still unclear if it is an existing wave we know about or if it is its own thing. With Iron man getting his own wave this year I imagine we wont be seeing a retro Iron man wave just yet. Though most of the figures rumored for his wave could be considered classic looks so I guess it could possibly be the classic wave if that wave is one we already know. It could also possibly be a re-issue style wave I suppose. Fans are often saying they missed out on certain figures so it could make some since to put out "classic" Legends that did well or are in high demand. I am still hoping it is its own new mixed wave though that has some of the most popular characters in older looks that Hasbro hasnt done yet like classic Dr. Strange.

I bet it's going to be movie based, I've seen a lot for people wanting the movie Red Guardian with a masked head, I don't know how big of a part Rachel Weis character plays, if they'd do a figure of her, otherwise it might be a non white suit version of Yelena
I haven't thought of the Dolph Lindgren Punisher in forever. Has anyone bothered seeing that movie Peppermint where Jennifer Garner is basically Frank Castle? You're probably right about Marvel Studios fixing the F4, but I think it's also going to come down having a cast that has the chemistry and rapport they need to feel like a family Happy Birthday and Anniversary guys! |

I sincerely appreciate all of the Happy Birthday replies so far. Thank you, everyone. And @Starlord67, I hope you're having a Happy Anniversary!
@Mimicboy - I am among those who missed out on certain Fantastic Four figures. And by "certain", I mean everyone but the Invisible Woman. I never could find the Thing and the Human Torch in my local Walgreens and I was never able to buy Mr. Fantastic due to money issues keeping me perpetually broke. I still refuse to buy the black-and-blue figures because I loathe those costumes. I don't know what they'll do for Sue and Johnny in the line, though. If I remember correctly, the Toy Biz Fantastic Four wave had an Invisible Woman and Human Torch, then made a visible Invisible Woman and Johnny Storm in later waves. So do you make one or the other? And if so, which one for Sue and Johnny? Sue seems trickier to me. If you get an invisible Invisible Woman, fans will complain she's not in her suit like the other figures or didn't want an all-invisible version of her. On the other hand, if you make her visible, fans will complain it's yet another visible Invisible Woman figure and Hasbro is again skipping out on making an invisible version. I'd love to see both, having one be in the main wave and the other as a Fan Channel figure. I also am hopeful we'll see a new Human Torch that's not translucent. Time will tell. I'm also hoping we get more classic figures this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for classic/Retro versions of Mole Man, Wizard, Dr. Strange, Ringmaster, red costume Daredevil, Wasp, Toad, Shocker, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Avalanche, Blob, classic White Queen (that's sold separately, please), purple-and-blue suit Boomerang, Scarlet Witch, U.S. Agent, Tigra, Wonder Man (black-and-red suit or safari jacket), Monica Rambeau/Captain Marvel II, classic orange costume Sabretooth, Mystique (that's not a Walgreens exclusive), more of the original X-Factor members, some kind of new non-Jim Lee costume Rogue (first appearance, Outback, Uncanny Avengers, etc.), and my often-repeated wants for a John Byrne/scaly chainmail costume Captain America with a new smiling head sculpt and his round and triangular shields, Doctor Octopus with bendable wire tentacles (John Romita Sr. or white Armani suit, please, Hasbro), classic Sandman (Sandman on the Toy Biz Spider-Man animated series Retro box art -- it's too perfect), first appearance clothes Mary Jane Watson, Jim Lee Cyclops with an optic blast and Jim Lee Jubilee with multi-colored fireworks blasts. If not for 2021, maybe for 2022 then? Also, we have a lot of anniversaries next year. Fan-favorite heroes like The Incredible Hulk, The Mighty Thor and The Amazing Spider-Man have their 60th anniversaries next year. "X-Men: The Animated Series" has its 30th anniversary next year. The original Sam Raimi 'Spider-Man' film has its 20th anniversary next year. There are so many possibilities left for Hasbro to explore. I hope you all had a great weekend and I hope you all have a wonderful day. Stay safe, everyone. |

Lucked out and found a lone Spider-verse Gwen today at Walmart. Thankfully, she's the only one I was really interested in.
