Gotta be, other than that the only thing I can think of is the Fantasticar, and while lots of people would love to have that in their displays, I think it wouldn't be a huge mover like a giant character would be

I already pre-ordered Ultron, I'll also wind up getting Modular Iron Man but since he's the double-packed figure and it's another Iron Man I'm sure he'll be easy to get.
I know some people are bummed about getting a second AoA wave but I'm all for it to finish the major players from the event, and if it's not your cup of tea then just think of it like ripping a bandaid off where we get it done now so they don't have to do it again later.

I get that having a themed wave like this means that it's another 6 months for a chance at a non themed wave, but if we get all the key players in this wave, I don't realistically see them visiting this theme again outside of maybe a Deluxe Iceman or something that's NOT part of a wave. Though I'm in the vast minority, they could do 2-3 more waves of AoA and I'd be giddy. |

Wrapping smoke swirls around Ironheart's wrists doesn't make sense if she's not firing rockets. Maybe they'd work better on her feet?

Now I just need Vanguard, Gremlin/Titanium Man, and Crimson Dynamo and I will have completed some important Hulk foes from my childhood. Funny to see them in an Iron Man wave, but (sans a Hulk Legends line, which is needed IMO) I could not care any less about how they are delivered, as long as they simply are.
The Big Three might want to do a little more homework as the Guardsmen aren't villains (governmental agents; featured most prominently as Vault guards) and they don't need 'blasters' as the armor was designed by Stark and has it's own repulsor-tech - if memory serves. But, again, who cares as long as they are delivered. And my final 'so-what-I'm-still happy to have', they chose the wrong Quasar outfit. While 90's-rific and the suit I remember him wearing when he occupied a deep-space Avengers outpost, I would have much preferred his Annihilation duds and now need a new version in addition to this one. Meaning: I will still be calling for a Quasar fig to be made. Also, if they were going to make that version - Why did they tone down the mullet action? Unwittingly, they have made a head that feels a bit anachronistic when coupled with that body. Wendel was channeling a FULL-Swayze mullet-coif during that period. If they were going to do this one, they could have at least driven it home and captured the absurdity in its proper glory. |

To be honest, I was hoping for classic Titanium Man to be the Build-A-Figure for the Iron Man wave, but I am excited for the Modular Armor Iron Man.

Diamond is doing a Marvel Select Titanium Man, might not be a bad stand-in.

Sidenote, I'm happy Hasbro is slowly filling out the Champions now that we have Ironheart. Hopefully they get around to the rest of the team.

Same here and a classic Crimson Dynamo would have been great instead of hologram Iron Man (the one who only got a 3.75 figure release back when Iron Man 2 came out)

Seeing that Hasbro seem to be getting out all the characters who appeared in the "Armor Wars" storyline (Spymaster, Beetle, Stilt-Man, Silver Centurion Iron Man, War Machine) and now with the Guardsman announcement could Stringray or Crimson Dynamo be on the horizon?

The ML team is definitely the best on camera and seem to know a LOT more about their line then the rest of the Hasbro teams. It's strange when they can't remember what they've put out. I'm not dedicated to Marvel and it certainly isn't my full-time job, but I do know pretty much every figure put out in the ML line. It just looks awkward on camera when they stumble over what they've done in the last few years. |

There was the original Guardsman that turned on Stark and was accidentally killed. Stark also fought the original set of Guardsmen to take back the armor, but later built new Guardsmen armor for the Vault.

It just looks awkward on camera when they stumble over what they've done in the last few years. While you might be right that they know more about the Marvel license than other marketing teams know about their respective lines, I still find their familiarity with Marvel to be slightly superficial and a bit of a put on/affectation (IMHO). Kevin O'Brien, the Guardsman from the 70's, did turn evil before pivoting back, then dying. However, these figs are obviously not designed to be the original Guardsman and billed specifically as the 'Vault Guardsman' (or "Volt Guard" on Dorkside LULZ!) who were not villains as The Big Three (also something new to me, not knowing their names) indicated. While the Guardsman of the Vault were swept up in the Armor Wars story line, Stark says himself that they are not evil and he was simply concerned that the tech might fall into the wrong hands - hence sending in Rhodey in disguise and making moves against them. Look, if you are going pander to me as a Marvel Comic fan, at least do the homework. That's just marketing 101. And when you inaccurately call the Guardsm(e)n villains and give them guns they don't need (do they even know they can fly and have super-strength?) it makes me wonder if you think the fanbase is stupid - which we likely are in all honesty if we look at that sort of flub in targeted sales-tactics and resoundingly give it a thumbs up. All this without also splitting hairs about inserting members of the Soviet Super Soldiers into an Iron Man wave when the assembled team in question appeared first as foils for the Hulk and an equal measure of the core line-up (Ursa Major and Gremlin) were also birthed in Hulk books - but, again, whutevs...I'm happier for them than more X-Stuff, which is undoubtedly coming and I'll be happy for that too, just not as much as many others. I know these guys are just doing their jobs and they seem like pretty good dudes. I just have an intense aversion to being "sold to", especially when head scratching things are said, you put on a full-court press to get me to watch and then come off seeming a bit like a smarmy shill. But, yeah, capitalism....I get it. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 04-10-2021 at 09:43 AM.. Reason: "Volt Guard"...Dorkside fucked up even worse than I'd initially thought... |

I concur with this. The say fans come first, but we're really just their customers. I see people getting upset when some fans complain, but seriously, the entire relationship between Hasbro and fans is Hasbro trying to get our money. That's it. Just show us the stuff, make it easily available, and we'll probably buy it.

Ironheart looks real good. I'm hoping her having double pinless elbows is a sign Hasbro intends to do it for more new female characters going forward.

After seeing the awesome Eye of Agamotto (plus the Eternals movie synopsis) Tiamut's "Celestial Glove" can give Hasbro another "Toy of the Year" award (like the Roleplay Gauntlet). I don't know if they can outdo themselves with future ML Roleplay. Yet the crazy detail of ZBrush sculpt software updated annually - gives forth hope - the ML team can make Kirby himself a very proud man...

Did anybody else just expect... more? Like maybe it was because they’d spent a month or so hyping this panel up, but I just figured we’d see more new figures. I suppose it’s the fault of leaks that this feels so insubstantial, since they did show off a fair of amount of stuff, but considering that we knew that all of it was coming except Ursa & Sabertooth (who, even still, was a safe bet), it just seems like less than it was.
A year ago, I would have loved the Iron Man wave, but with my decision to cut back on stuff, I just pre-ordered Ultron, modular armor and stealth armor Iron Man. Those are literally the last two armors I wanted updates of. I may never have to buy another Iron Man again... unless they give us an updated comic version mark 1. I feel like other brands, namely Transformers, got more pre-orders in from me, And they have different size classes so I'm dropping a lot more on them than Marvel Legends. And as for the teaser, while Galactus seems somewhat obvious, I can also see a fantasticar. I was working on a 3d printed fantasticar. I'm going to wait to print anything in case it's that. I just wanted something cool to display the F4 in. |

So for me i insta-ordered that Modular Iron-man finally !
Looks like i will need to hunt ultron down. I might get the Stealth Iron-man i dunno. Has-lab Themed Fantastic 4 ! like how they changed the plus to the F4 Logo. I'm in dire need of a Galactus if so I think he'll be the same height as the sentinel which i might be okay with. They can also give you maybe 2 Heralds of Galactus. Possibly a niche one and famous one... If it turns out to be fantastic- car , It'll be a pass but im sure fans who want it will get a fantastic 4 with it. Everything else is a pass, So alot of money saved for now... |

Sorry, I know this is from a page ago. I've been busy as can be. But yes, I expected a lot more for something they've been hyping for this long. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with what we got, but I honestly thought more was coming. As for the reveals, I'm super excited for the AoA wave as that's right up my alley.
AOA’s not my bag, and last year’s wave represented the first Legends wave I can remember that I skipped completely. As such, it really annoyed me that their “mic drop” reveal for the panel was a whole second wave of my least favorite MLs ever (although Nash & other are right that it’s much better for the figures to be in their own wave where they’re completely skippable for collectors like me). Which isn’t reflective of their work or the figures, but my taste as a collector. I was extra let-down because X-Men Legends are my favorite, and they’ve made very few I want in the past two years. |
