Thanks
I feel your pain. I ended up giving up on finding her at a decent price and just decided to make one. Last edited by 1987olds442; 11-03-2013 at 06:07 PM.. |

Hey gang, I can't remember when the next event where a Hasbro rep would be possibly answering questions about the line, specifically the Jubilee wave and when we might expect it. Cheers!
Thanks btw

Does anyone else think that Hyperion's eyes were painted by the same guy who did Emma's? Thought I'd mention it after noticing it 45 times or so lol

Anybody think that a custom paint would be fairly easy to do on the Iron man 3 Legends Ultron? Would love to have a gold variant of it without paying crack prices for the Marvel Unlimited one.

Make sure you don't use enamel paints either, it has to be acrylic. A cheap spray can of Mod Podge acrylic sealant and at least three coats will protect the paint as well as make it feel like a factory-produced toy to the touch. I didn't sand my X-Force Deadpool before I painted him red, so as a result the paint didn't adhere too well and still flakes off despite the sealant. You might not need to do it, though, if you just plan to stick it on a shelf and never touch it again. |

Looking at this very nice custom Carter ^ , it makes me miss the thigh from before the new cuts Hasbro is using today. I like 'em both, but the way the leg runs into the butt on the older ones makes the body o little smoother

I agree the older hip joints on the HML Electra type body looked much better. They are harder to pose, but they look better. Also the thighs on the Moonstone body are a little too thick as well.

I really like both versions, but for different characters of course. With the power sets for Ms. Marvel and Moonstone the big thighs and thicker arms make sense and work well. For Domino and shield agents and Madame Hydra etc, the older style works best. I still think there can be a middle ground here for a Spider Woman or Black Cat, but that's just dreamer talk. I'll be very happy to have them on the Moonstone body, because I don't see Hasbro making a new female mould for awhile, with Jubilee on the way (eventually that is), that's 4 good female shapes to help fill out rosters, including She Rulk (who I'd relly like a Titania out of!! Maybe in 2020 lol)

If you don't mind me asking...
How did you acquire your Gold Ultron and what did it set you back?

If it was eBay that seller was a total dink. I asked about a shipping price and he said he'd get back to me and then he had sold it when he got back to me.

Sorry read your question wrong. I got through Marvel Unlimited. Digital comics. It was 99 bucks. I only got it cuz I had bought the comics for my little cousin. So it only set me back 40 bucks to get the gold ultron. I just don't know if I should open it.

Whether Sentry ever makes retail remains to be seen, but I'm happy to report that I no longer give a damn... lol. Time to take my WW Hulk out for a fat throw down.

That's a really great Sentry, I always admire how you guys make such smooth paint lines. I feel like I should know where the head came from, but I can't put my finger on it...Kazar?

Kazar head cast from Glassman's Customs. It did the job, but there were a lot of air bubble holes on the cast unfortunately. I'd like to have used the actual Kazar head, but paying $40 to 60 for a part isn't my thing. lol

That is a nice blend of WWE Elite parts and ML parts. I really like his size a lot better than the one Hasbro was going to make. To me the Hyperion body is just too big to use for the Sentry.

And I agree, Sentry should have a longer body and not look like the 80's Lou Ferigno. It'd be a shame to lose out on all those RC's, but what are you going to do? I'm still jacked for the Cap and Spidey waves....and hopefully Jubilee too!
