Ugh Spidey's coming with the same exact Cap and Iron Man from Civil War Wave 2.
C'mon, Hasbro! MCU Vision and Civil War Ant-Man! |

Watching the video, I'm surprised at the sheer number of battle damage that Iron Man and Cap are sporting.
I think I need to see more (well a more informed review/pictures) and a price tag before I'm ready to make a call about picking up the set. |

I have to give Hasbro credit. I'd never thought they'd actually do this many characters from the movie. The only ones left without figures are Vision, Black Widow and Hawkeye.
The absence of Hawkeye and Black Widow can be justified I guess by the fact that they already got figures (unlike Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Giant-Man) and aren't popular enough or integral enough to the plot to justify making new ones (unlike Cap, Iron Man, Spider-Man or Bucky), but I have to say, the absence of a Vision figure is still baffling to me. |

Passing on that set, for sure. I got enough Caps, Iron Men and Spideys for 10 people at this point.

I'm glad we're getting a Civil War Spider-Man. I am still hoping for a 3-Pack with Vision, Hawkeye(Updated Costume), and Black Widow(Updated Hair and Costume). Might have to wait until Infinity War, but you never know.

Not 100% sold on the new Spidey costume, though we all know it will change before the next film.
Kinda surprised that MCU Vision hasn't gotten any love. Maybe he'll be in the MCU Scarlet Witch wave. Seems fitting. |

Hrm, this sparked an idea. Since Cap/Avengers and Spidey waves are usually released near each other, just slap the inevitable new Cap, Iron Man and Spidey in the box set and open up more options for single packed figures. Sure, not a great solution but if I did not have to buy yet another Cap, Iron Man and Spidey (ok, I almost always want the Spidey) I do not want for their BAF piece I would be happy.
Now all that being said, I just read the first two issues of the latest Invincible Iron Man series on Marvel Unlimited and I would totally be down for the new armor from that series. Particularly if they figured out a way to piece out parts to modify the base figure and achieve the sort of morphing capabilities of the armor. |

Agreed. Then again, I think nearly every one of the John Tyler Christopher action figure cover designs would be awesome. The general consensus around here in the past seemed to be highly favorable as well.

@warmachine6 - You mean, take his head off? Yes, well, I did when I had to boil and pop his bicep to dislodge his shoulder joint because it came in fused together or it was just impossible to move until I heated him up but, his head just popped off...
It has been a while since I did it, so if you want to wait till tomorrow, I can double check once I get home in the morning.

So is this likely gonna be the only MCU Spidey figure this year? Hasbro doesn't usually do solo releases for stuff from box sets, do they?

Quick question for anyone that might know, do Con exclusives appear on HTS right after the Con ends or does Hasbro usually wait a week? Spidey goes on sale on HTS 8 days after SDCC ends. |
