I'll wait until after the new year to get the Defenders set. I'm not crazy about all of the figures in the set so I'd rather get it cheaper. The AOU 4 pack got down as low as $37 but usually hovers around $50 so patience is key.
For anyone interested in the Back in Black Deadpool, the Gamestop listing has been changed so that you can check for store availability. |

Also, Kevin Feige has already said that Spiderman will be getting another mentor in the second film. It's just not Iron Man. |

I'm super-excited for TLJ but I have to admit that some things from the trailers are very ESB, at least visually. Most obviously is the First Order walkers just being bigger AT-ATs. As for story beats we'll have to wait and see, naturally I hope it's something new and original.
Though TFA is only a remake of ANH if you ignore the vast majority of the film which is different so obviously people are judging these things by a different standard than I am.

Totally agree. TFA is only like ANH in the aspects that it goes through familar territory in locations. Other than that, it is an entirely different movie.

There's more to it than that, including space princesses being tortured by shadowy masked guy, planets being blown up as "demonstrations", a race against the clock for the rebel army to save themselves, the giant death planet being extinguished by a spot internally only a small flying craft can get to, a mission to knock out shields inside the death planet where the mentor is killed, and so on and so on... There is even a scene where a stormtrooper is thrown into a trash compactor. Nope. I haven't seen this movie before. While the order of some of the events are slightly different, you are kidding yourself if you think TFA is only similar to ANH in locations. There is a reason that JJ Abrams has often been reffered to as the biggest plagiarist in Hollywood. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 11-07-2017 at 09:51 AM.. |

Yeah, but as the video "Star Wars Minus Star Wars" proves, ANH was itself made of nothing but homages and copies of the stories that came before. So for TFA to be a wholesale homage to the original almost fits with the theme of the film itself, if not the very tentpoles that helped give the franchise its footing.
But hey, homage or copy, it was a damn entertaining film and a good return to theaters for Star Wars. Imagine if the first new film outing had been Rogue One? Blech.

Ehh...it is what it is. They needed something that captured the feel of the original movies after Lucas bogged them down with politics and CGI so it's understandable.
Back to Legends, I managed to pick up the SDCC Raft Spidey for 12 bucks at my local comic con this past weekend. Glad I didn't bite on it on eBay, as mine had those loose butterfly joints that people were complaining about. To anyone wondering, the hands on the recent MJ Spidey work on it, as they match the plastic nearly perfect. |

Stopped in at another 5 Below store, found more Red Guardians, but they also had 1 each of Copperhead, Sharon Carter, and Mockingbird from the Red Skull Onslaught wave. So far it's really YMMV with what they get in.

Anyone know if the Hulkbuster is worth any money? My g/f just got laid off from her job, so there goes all of our holiday plans.

If you're talking about the Mega Man that came from the 2-pack with War Machine, he's ok for the scale against 6" Legends but the articulation is very poor and his gimmick makes the figure very very loose. I did use him for my display years ago, but at the time I was trying to go ToyBiz only and I also didn't care for the Bandai model kit version. The best Mega Man for your buck now is probably the 4" one made by Sentinel, it's expensive $40-$50 but it's built extremely well (puts Hasbro's recent effort with X to shame) and is not far off from a correctly scaled Mega Man. Other than that there's the Kotobukiya model kit Mega Man, he's a bit big but otherwise it's also a decent Mega Man (Plus Kotobukiya also made Roll who you'll need someday, too, complete with the Mega Man 8/MvsC outfit). |

I really wish we could get a strider fig with both the masked and an unmasked head.

I'm sure the Hulkbuster is worth some good money, not sure how much though, my guess would be $80 at least given that wave is a few years old now and the number of BAF pieces it takes to build it. |

Pretty much every time I used their store inventory checker thing it has always been super accurate (unlike other stores *cough* Walgreens *cough*)... so this should come in handy for sure. No gamestops near me have it yet though... sux.

A Walgreens employee once told me that all Marvel Legends figures are grouped under one item number so their inventory checker will be wrong 99% of the time unless the figure has been out a while. |

The other day I posted here about my Vintage Wave Punisher not having any trigger fingers. Since I was planning on picking up another Punisher if I ever found one in the wild (assuming the new one had trigger fingers), I figured I had nothing to lose by trying to separate the trigger fingers on my current VW Punisher with an exacto knife. The results aren't too bad. Because the trigger fingers don't stick out from the hand like they do on Bucky Cap or Black Series figures, it's not a smooth process to stick a gun in his hand with the index finger on the trigger. But it seems to be improving as the finger stretches out from its previous position after holding a gun for a little while. I tried this with my Walgreens Punisher, which wasn't supposed to have any trigger fingers, and it has been a pain to get him to hold a gun properly. This is definitely better and I don't see myself buying an extra Punisher now.

My friend found my a Vintage Black Widow, then I remembered the one with the bike is coming out. I guess I'll have 2!
It seems 2017 is winding down for legends. It's been a great year for them! |

Target has the Ego pack for $23, but I still can’t convince myself it’s worth buying.

For $16 I may pick up another just to keep around my Old Man Adventure Luke Skywalker figure I made. The Ego body makes a great alternative Luke that is more "Further Adventures of Luke Skywalker" than his Jedi robes...
