If we get a black costume version of Jim Lee Storm, regardless of how its released (standard release, vintage style, or as an exclusive), I'd hope that we'd get an alternate short-haired head to swap onto it, like in this art

Maybe the vintage wave of X-Men will be how we get a white costumed Emma. I know the typhoid Mary torso has the sculpted belt but it wouldn't be the first time they gave us a floating belt over a sculpted one(see Domino for further details)

Thanks! Much appreciated!
I made it from an Iceman (Juggernaut Wave) and Scourge (Red Onslaught Wave). The body and upper legs are from Scourge and the arms, lower legs and head are from Iceman. Pretty simple parts swap, just had to head the joints up a bit. |

I don't even remember Storm having short hair like in that pic. Also the Rogue we got has less hair than I'm used to even though everything else about that figure is pretty much perfect IMO... I'm used to Rogue having gianormous 90's hair like she was a member of the Bangles.

I honestly couldn't care less which color they put her in as it's all technically right. I mean, I guess if I had to pick silver would be my top one since that is what it was in the cartoon, but I'll be fine either way.
It the first appearance Storm I want most of all though. 1) 1st appearance Storm 2) Silver costume Storm (X-Men toon) 3) Black costume w/lightning bolt Storm (With short hair and long hair headsculpts) I just hope they sculpt the gold circle ring on 1st appearance Storm and not just paint it on. |

Because of the reveals at SDCC, I got back on the X-Men wagon hard. I had a pretty extensive collection I sold off 2 years ago, with Nemesis/Holocaust being my only X-Men related Legend figure left.
This is my collection a month later! All customs are done by me, and I included a picture of a fairly easy 1991 Wolverine custom, which does need some more work tbh. More X-Men are fine by me as long as we keep getting Jim Lee/Animated/90s inspired versions!

Well we have a new Wolverine costume that we can get another Wolverine figure out of, with the reveal of Wolverine's new outfit in the upcoming Return of Wolverine. God it looks awful, sort of reminds me of a high end restaurant employee or a bellhop.

Fantastic. Since those two aren't expensive figures to get on the aftermarket, I may do that. Mind posting some more photos? Curious to see how the parts all match up, proportions-wise.

Usually when people start complaining about how bad a new costume is I expect to actually like it, but no that new Wolverine outfit is really terrible.

The sad part is, I can see where some of the elements were going with this new outfit, but it looks less like a costume (especially a Wolverine costume) and more like a uniform (my first thought when I saw it was that it had some minor similarities to his Red Guard uniform from House of M). Which would be fine, if he were joining some organization for some purpose or another, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if this outfit is only for the 'Return of Wolverine' mini-series, and we see a return to his more classic stylings before long. His look is one of the most iconic in the Marvel U, especially with the world audience-at-large, and now that Laura's been moved out of the identity and costume, they'd be goofballs not to bring it back to Logan.

Ended up deciding against it, mostly because I wouldn't have had the time to get into a debate about it anyway. Wonder if it would have worked, though. Hopefully I'll find him again, either way.

if you still need Mysterio GO GO GO to Amazon do it NOW! He'll be in stock through Amazon directly approximately 8/27 - at 19.99 and prime shipping if you're a prime member. Every time I've seen him at this price he's gone very quickly and I just miss him but I got him ordered this time around.
Not that it meanst he order will pan out but it's further than I've gotten any other time. Edit: And it's back up to the scalper prices now, only lasted about 15 minutes. We'll see if my order actually goes through I half expect it won't but it sure would be nice. Last edited by Captain Nash; 08-21-2018 at 01:31 PM.. |

Same here. I have had several people reach out as they have extra, but I kind of want the thrill of "finding" this one on my own - be it a store or online, at MSRP (though if it's like $5 more I don't mind paying it.) It's one I definitely want, but I'm not frothing at the mouth for it either.
