Once I get a Scorpion and Hydroman and Classic Vulture I can say I'm good on the Spider-Shelf! lol. ...but a WhiteRabbit would be nice too just so his shelf isn't so... Men's Club... Ha!

As for Firestar, she is coming! She's always going to be the next big want (for many people ) out of the next convention. I know Hasbro has her done and is just waiting for the perfect time to surprise us all. As for Banshee, how could I forget. a lot of Hasbro's early figures are in need of do-overs, but Banshee ranks as the top on that IMO. Even 11 years ago that was a bad figure. |

That banshee was awful- I'm pretty happy with the custom re-paint and new body I gave him- but a new figure (like Forge) is long over-due.
The only issue I had with the Toybiz Colossus was (like Storm) I thought his head was a bit on the small side so I swapped it with the ML version- Ha!. The Colossus Hasbro made was (IMO) such a huge disappointment just because I was waiting for that Jim Lee look and got... something else... lol |

I'm wondering if in this age of X-Men that Jim Lee Storm, Beast, and Colossus will all end up in an SDCC box set... Throw in a JeanGrey with ponytail, Cyclops in a leather jacket and the Apocalypse BAF and it kind of hits all the requirements of an SDCC set.

I hope not, essential core characters as n sdcc set is just a big middle fingerto collectors.

I thought that up until Hasbro started releasing most of the exclusives to retail... Now I see exclusives as a big middle finger to people that bother going to the con to get them. lol.

Agree. I'd prefer getting second tier groups, or repaints, as an SDCC set. For mutants I could see Hellfire Club or New Mutants, maybe X-Factor (original not the Peter David versions). I'd say Marauders but I think outside of Scalphunter, Vertigo and Sabretooth they're too low tier to consider a "sell".

I said it before but the Forge body we saw last week could conceivably be reworked into a new Banshee.

They really just need to release that outfit on a standard body for male and female, and a teen body for male and female, along with about 10 different character specific sculpted heads for each body, and sell each body/head pack as a deluxe figure. I know I'd buy a shit load of that.

and can you imagine with those sales vs. the work they put into it? All they'd have to do is spend extra tooling money on the heads. There have been plenty of times in the X-Men's history that the entire team, or sometimes all but one or two characters, have reverted to a standard X-Men training uniform. You could have the original team. The New Mutants. The early pre-blue/gold 90's team (storm was the only one who had the different outfit), Generation X, theirs was slightly different but so close it doesn't matter. the team Jean led in Eve Of Destruction. New X-Men (minus Dust and Rockslide of course)

Wasn't a reason given that we didn't see a movie Venom figure that they couldn't do figures based off an R-rated property?
So with Venom being PG-13 and a semi-succesfful film do you think we could see one? Maybe in a 2nd Venom wave with Riot and some more comic Symbiotes? |

If I were to just go for the bare essential characters I need left in my Spider-Man villains collection that has yet to be announced, it would be classic Vulture and classic or 90s Scorpion. Obviously there's a lot more I do want, but yeah, those two would finish off the villains I absolutely must own.

I assumed the lack of Venom figures had less to do with the rating and more with the lack of production time. The whole project came together rather quickly, so it sounds like there just wasn't enough time. Compare that to Spider-Verse, which has a line of figures, but even then the only Legends are just repaints.

I would love to see vulture, scorpion,Mr negative, hydroman and Stegron in the Spidey line. I remember watching the original cartoon in reruns and loved SPIDERMANS villans cast.
Ooh...white Rabbit and Leapfrog would be fun! Also...check out my eBay listings...ALL my MCU figures are listed. Kinda sad but need the room. |

@Starlord a Mr negative is a must now especially considering how he was in PS4 game which is probably making him a more well known guy now. That being said I hope they do a legends Video game line to GameStop with him and the other villains. Last edited by Tim; 10-11-2018 at 01:13 PM.. |

Oh come on all. The spider-line will never be complete as long as Stegron is missing.
In all seriousness though, it's mostly fine for me. Mind you I'm not a huge fanatic about Spider-Man though. But if I had to list I'd go with: 1. Morlun - really liked the Other Storyline, he's quite powerful, and I can't believe we get all these Spider-verse characters and not a major antagonist out of it. 2. Classic Vulture 3. Classic Scorpion - and that's only not #1 because I have the Toybiz version 4. Spider-Man India. All of the alternate Spider-man characters, and the one I've been wanting for the last few years has yet to show up. That would really be it for me. but if I had to do a top 10 (I do love my lists lol) 5. Spot 6. Mr. Negative 7. Calypso 8. Hydro Man 9. Stegron (I mean, I only 90% joke about getting him, but really I wouldn't mind.) 10. Shriek |
