Silk is already sold out on Hasbro Pulse. I wasn't expecting that to sell out so quickly!

I checked this morning and a few of the stores have Storm and Thunderbird in stock, should I check on person or is it ok to call?

classic Moonstone yes, Meteorite no. Granted she never wholeheartedly redeemed herself like some of the other Thunderbolts, but in that persona she was a "hero", or something more akin to one than a villain.
Which leads me to wonder will the Thunderbolt we get this year be Atlas, Meteorite, Jolt or Techno? Or maybe two of them? We're 3 down 4 to go of classic OG Thunderbolts, I'd rather seem them done in waves than a boxset. Unless they gave us an Atlas/Meteorite/Techno boxset. In keeping with Marvel's roots of relatability, but in a more extreme manner given their former status as villains, the Thunderbolts were marginal personalities trying to turn a different leaf for a host of reasons - some righteous, some practical, some opportunistic, and some completely insincere. In my opinion, the only truly "good" Thunderbolts were Jolt (never a villain), Songbrid, Mach-1 (sorta - was he influenced more by the want to be a hero, or his falling for Songbird?), and Charcoal (maybe). I omit Atlas largely because of his functionally beating Genis-Vell to death for threatening the team via interrupting Abe's love interest in Melissa - Ionic-energy 'roid-rage' aside, that is exactly the kind of self-serving act that typifies the average psyche on the team. I recall expressing enthusiasm for an all villain wave here years ago, which was met with speculation that it was entirely unlikely given the lack of brand recognition for any characters therein - heh - so I'm obviously very happy with recent reveals. However, while I'm super excited by this wave, I don't really care how the baddies are delivered and will take a Mr. Hyde/Graviton/Count Nefaria/Mephisto/Nightmare/Baron Mordo/D'Spayre etc whichever way they come. The same goes for the remaining T-Bolts, of which Meteorite is an absolute must have. Get them to me in a hero theme, a villain theme, in a wave, in a box-set, or even as an annoying exclusive...it matters not as long as they come. EDIT: Grabbed it the minute it materialized as a precaution against exactly what you've noted...one has gotta be quick and decisive in this toy game Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 09-27-2020 at 08:48 AM.. |

Basically, the answer is maybe? If the Target is close, it's probably easier to just check in person and/or try to find a helpful employee, which seems about 50/50 for me. I collect GI Joe and there is a giant shitstorm that will be an ongoing issue with Target exclusives. Last edited by usernamedustin; 09-27-2020 at 08:48 AM.. |

While I certainly understand where you're coming from, I'm also of the opinion that we're largely splitting hairs here as it regards which category (Hero or Villain) to place almost any Thunderbolt. Redemption for members of the Thunderbolts has always been far more of a sliding scale than any hard and fast adherence to the altruisms and tenets of heroism. The murky fluidity in the alignment of team-members is/was the core of what made the title click for me as a reader.

Mostly I just go and say, "Hi, is there anyone who can help me in toys? I'm looking for an item the website says you might have instock. I've got the DCPI number." Once you do that, they usually are more than willing to be helpful since you already did half of the work for them.

Great question as he was one of the most fascinating to me based on my take on the team. Similar to Black Panther, Namor, and Doom (three characters in my top 20 of all time faves), Chen-Lu had geo-political and cultural allegiances that create sophisticated layers to the onion. If I had to use the classic D&D rubric of alignment that I alluded to earlier, I'd categorize Dr. Chen as neutral/neutral or 'true neutral'. There have have been times in which he's been mobilized at the behest of the Chinese government functioning more out of obligation/nationalism rather than being on the same page, there have been times when he's clearly not a hero, and there have been times in which he's been obviously noble. I really dig this sort of character complexity, when it's done with aplomb and makes sense as it does with Chen Lu and the other characters I mentioned. Most humans can be fairly complex and this fact should be reflexively represented in comic character development...I like linear, transparent, uncomplicated and unambiguous people also, but as someone that likes to study people and things, tangled wrinkles in personalities tend to hold my interest far longer.

I have no problem calling, just make sure you talk to someone in electronics. You’re more likely to catch someone who knows what you’re looking, or cares. I’ve never had someone hold anything for me, it’s first come first serve out here.

My first guess is something for Wandavision, but it could possibly be a redistribution of the previously-TRU exclusive Infinity War two pack.

Targets around here don't even accept calls, ever since COVID. They have a lengthy welcome message that ends with 'we're too busy to answer phones'. If it's not too much of a trip, I'd just go down there.

It's hit or miss with the phone calls. At some Targets around me, phone calls don't always get answered or they will refuse to hold items and it gets sold before you get there. Some Targets will hold items. Some employees in toys are very helpful and others don't check anything and just lie to you. It helps to have the item number (Storm/TB 79659824) and just ask the person in customer service to check.

I agree with usernamedustin on this one. I had no luck when I called the stores the other day that popfindr said had it instock. I went to one physically and the electronics employee pulled it out of the back for me.

If anyone is able to find an extra of the Storm/TBird two pack, I'd be more than happy to purchase one off of you. Keep me in mind!

I know many don't like wishlist on HERE...
But I'm really curious if we will see the Blob, Avalanche and Destiny soon. I'm also hoping for a Mojoverse 3 pack with Longshot,Spiral and of course Mojo. Just six major wants of mine as well as Banshee, Marvel Girl, Havok, Angel, PSYLOCKE in her armour and shadowcat/Sprite Top twelve! |

Ooh, do I spy Phantom Rider? It’s a pipe-dream, but I’d love an ML horse in order to get him done proper, as well as Brightwind & Aragorn.
Also, Doc Kain, Deathbird would be nails. Especially if we could get a seventies Miss Marvel to fight her. |
