It's at this point that Wolvy realizes that a full frontal assault might not have been a bright idea after all.

Thanks for the kind words BM. My hands have grown a bit unsteady over the years so I've cooled it with customs for the most part. While it was only a simple repaint, that Rogue is still my favorite custom I've finished. I hope that Hasbro will give me a reason to retire it someday, as despite minimal play, father time is starting to wear her down a bit, and it makes me sad whenever a spot a paint chip or a ding from storage on her.
Had to dig her up, but since you asked...here's Mary as I finally left her. I swapped out her original arms with those from a Walgreens Emma Frost (which give her jacket a more cropped look, and also have better articulation than Mary's original arms.) Hands are a mix from that Emma and a vintage Widow, and I ditched the oversized katana that came with her for the smaller katana that came with Blade. I had put the heels from Walgreens Emma on her for a while, but they made her hell to stand and pose. They also made her feel a bit too tall for my liking, so I went back to the boots from Punk Storm. I completely agree with your stance on accessory packs being much needed for Legends. All of the kitbashing that went into making my ideal Mary is proof of that. I've spent so much money on accessories, fodder figures and parts over the years, that I'm sure I would be able to skip a car payment for at least a month or two at this point. Hasbro should look into the business models that Mattel and McFarlane used to have with their Masters and Halo lines, or the current success of Jazwares Fortnite line if they need some inspiration to give it a shot. Some of those accessory packs (especially the Halo: Reach sets) go for ridiculous amounts of cash on the secondary market, and were impossible to find when they were released due to their popularity with collectors who wanted to outfit their Spartans however they choose. The Masters ones were ingenious, as they often featured headsculpts OR weapons that allowed you to complete looks of certain characters across different incarnations of the show like MotU 200X. Hasbro has tried to (and failed) to sell us many newer lines of the modular styled action figure, but I don't think that even they realize at times that they are already sitting on a line of (largely) modular figures just ripe for the customizing pitch they want to sell us. They already know there is a mad fever for Legends figures, all they need to do is capitalize. Can you imagine if Hasbro started doing Marvel Legend accessory blind bags? We'd be cursing and spitting at them the entire time, but we'd also be standing in the toy aisle at Target crunching tiny bags for hours wondering if we're getting some fisted or wall crawling hands this time like the plastic crack addicts we are. Arms and legs would be more difficult, having skinnier arms on super muscular bodies would look really weird, but they could at least have ranges for the body and arms like very thin, thin, standard, muscular, very muscular or something like that. I know we have that for the molds already, we just need the arms and legs to all be removable by default, like a BAF. |

I still don't understand why Hasbro gave Typhoid a fisted hand when she is known to wield two swords. Even if they didn't want to package her with two swords, they could have at least given her two gripping hands so you could add your own. I've thought about given her left hand a black gloved hand I have, as it will at least look better than a fist.
It also strikes me as odd, but flesh colored left gripping hands for female characters seem to be a rarity.

Found the Joe Fixit wave earlier today. My son and I built him a little while ago. Fun and easy part reuse but I like it.
I'm glad to have a good comic Falcon and Thunderstrike tho Kang is awesome for the villain side. And I couldn't resist the other Halo Spartan Collection figures to complete that wave lol. |

Rektangular just posted a new video with some more pics of the new Rogue, including a side by side with Juggernaut wave Rogue and to me the face looks like the same sculpt with different paint apps

I think MCUcollector posted a pic on his youtube of them . The Grey Widow in in a split Sidekick with the new Venom Cap exclusive. So they are not in the Legends area. They could be on just about any sidekick in the toy dept. I mean I found the Mcfarlane Multiverse Batman:Metals ( That Devastator figure is a couple pounds of plastic BTW, wow!) sidekick at a wal mart stuck on the back end of the LEGO aisle.

I'm also surprised that Hasbro hasn't seized upon accessory packs by now as an easy profit model. Many different lines offer them and I've purchased numerous packs for Mythic Legions. How easy would it be to package up some splayed hands and fists, put out a weapon pack, or create some expressive heads to add new life to old figs? I truly believed they'd go that route after seeing DC Icons do as much, but nothing ever materialized. The topic has surfaced more than few times on the thread with most heads agreeing that they'd be all over that... Quote:
An alternative is Gwen Stacey. Her feet look pretty good on the Typhoid Mary legs. I used them for a Lila Cheney custom I did. I think the Gwen Stacey might be cheaper/easier to get than a punk Storm.
EDIT: Here's the pic, so you can see the what the feet look like on the legs. Baby steps for now for me, I don't intend on doing any heavy lifting as far as customs go... |

Ran into these this morning, so the Walmart shippers are real. Looks like Cap is actually the short packed figure of the two...

A warning about Zavvi: Their order system does NOT take inventory into account when you purchase from them. I made a huge order based around a couple of key discounted figures (Apocalypse, War Machine) and preorders. When I placed the order, everything was still in preorder or in-stock status. Flash forward a few weeks and they're all listed as out of stock now and I haven't gotten any shipping notice from them. I contact support and they tell me they're sold out and they don't know if they'll be restocked and oh yeah do you want your money back? What a scam. I never would've ordered from them if I knew that the big discounted figures weren't going to be fulfilled. Stay away from Zavvi if you want to be sure you'll get what you ordered. Worst part is I skipped over a couple of other good deals on Apocalypse during the wait. This really pisses me off to no end.

Hey all Sorry to interrupt, but I'm moving soon. Still trying to unload some figures. If anyone is interested, feel free to take a look at my sale thread. Willing to work on the pricing a bit.
