I'm glad Nova is the more classic looking Nova and not Nova Prime again.

Ultron! After Hasbro remade Doom and Kang, he felt like the obvious next pick. Between him and Dormammu next year is checking off more classic villains from my wants list.
I'm happy to see classic Nova since I've been requesting one for a couple of years now but him being store exclusive stings, even though I had no issues getting Moon Knight and Silver Centurion. If I somehow can't get my hands on this version I take comfort in having the 2014 Nova Prime figure.

I gotta say...with all the great renditions we have of classic Avengers villains like Thanos, Kang, MODOK, Ultron, Leader, Doom, etc., Loki stands out as particularly half-assed and mediocre. We definitely need a better version of him.

I have zero attachment to that Nova look, but hopefully it's an indication more New Warriors are on their way. I'd love Namorita and Silhouette.

My thoughts:
- Nothing leaked. Whoo-hoo! Nice work, Hasbro! - The Deadpool reveal was all right, but I'm still disappointed we didn't get a 20th Anniversary FoX-Men figure of any of the X-Men in their actual movie uniforms from any of the film series. No Wolverine, no Storm, no Jean Grey, no Cyclops, no Beast, no Rogue, no Nightcrawler, nada. I especially would've preferred a new, original trilogy X-Men figure... or six. - The HoX/PoX wave is mostly a pass. Marvel Girl is nice and Moira MacTaggert is amazing. Xavier looks too plain, I'm not a fan of Cyclops' new costume, and something about Magneto looks off. Maybe I'm biased since I prefer the red and purple Magneto suit, but still... maybe it's because of missing accessories? I can't explain it. - The MODOK reveal was cool. I'm glad they gave him an alternate face. - Classic Nova was appealing to me -- until I heard he was a Walgreens exclusive. Ugh! - Cannonball is getting legs -- which he should have had the first time. Not trying to sound mean or bitter, but it's still puzzling to me why Hasbro waited so long. I assume it'll be with an updated Cannonball figure since the old figure is going up in price. Now if we can just get bendable wire tentacles for ol' Doc Ock... - Someone with a tail is coming in 2021? It's got to be Tigra. She's been a fan demand favorite for the past few years. - Ultron! Finally! I love the "Kirby crackle" effect. Fingers crossed we'll get an inevitable classic suit Doctor Doom with "Kirby crackle" hand blast effects. Also, is anyone else disappointed/surprised we didn't get any Retro Fantastic Four reveals? Granted, they may not be ready yet, but I thought that today's date, December 4th, would been a perfect opportunity to announce it. Also, after Moira MacTaggert's reveal, we need a classic Lizard with a removable bendy wire tail and the head, left hand and feet of Dr. Curt Connors. My Top 10 wish-list/wants for 2021 remains unchanged: 01.) Classic scaly-chainmail costume Captain America with a smiling head sculpt based on John Byrne's artwork 02.) Jim Lee X-Men Blue Team costume Cyclops with a new head sculpt, the "Love Triangle" 3-pack blue and yellow suit colors, more secure bandoleer and thigh straps, and a new red optic blast accessory (the current eyebeam accessory looks weird to me) 03.) Classic green-and-orange costume Doctor Octopus with a head sculpt based on John Romita Sr.'s artwork and, as mentioned, all-new bendable wire tentacles 04.) Classic Sandman with a neutral head sculpt, an angry alternate head and alternate sand weapon hand accessories 05.) First appearance clothes Mary Jane Watson with a smiling head sculpt based on her first appearance art by John Romita Sr. 06.) Classic red costume Daredevil 07.) Classic Shocker with new vibro-shock blast accessories 08.) Classic lab coat Bruce Banner with a calm head wearing glasses and an alternate angry head with green eyes for "Hulk-out" effect 09.) Classic red-and-black costume Wasp with stinger blast accessories and a miniature "shrunken" Wasp figurine 10.) Classic Power Man Luke Cage I'd also take any new Retro Spider-Man villains, supporting civilian characters and Spider-Men. Black costume Spider-Man, Ben Reilly Spider-Man, Octo-Spidey, Armored Spider-Man, a better six-armed Spider-Man with bare four extra arms, and a new Retro Silver Age Spider-Man with the John Romita Sr. chest emblem (with the spider legs facing out to the sides rather than up and down), a "wavy-lines" Spider-Sense accessory, alternate open hands for wall-crawling poses, and an alternate smiling Peter Parker civilian head based on Romita Sr.'s art. I also agree with hasbroherofan. Namorita would be a great new figure. Speedball would be cool too. I hope you all are having a great day and have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe, everyone. |

I know that we already knew he was happening but I'm so excited for MODOK. The physical reveal blows my mind. I think the price is a little steep but one, there's still no way I'm not getting that, and two I'm super glad he's not a build a figure. Even when I want every figure in a wave or I really want the BAF, I rarely can afford the whole wave. And $50 is definitely more palatable than $65+ to just get a BAF complete while skipping the rest of the wave. Two things I would have liked to see with MODOK though, either or. Either a light up feature or a swappable laser effect for the head jewel. But regardless I'm elated to get this. Also major kudos for the swappable face.

Makes sense! Or about as much sense as anything else involving the X-Men

Next year's House of X and other wave for Marvel legends I hear Cannonball might be re-released with legs this time. Thats cool.
Thing is though i can go buy an old Toybiz Cannonball figure and be satisfied with that |

Upon watching again, interestingly, Ultron is not specified as part of the Bring on the Bad Guys wave. If so I wonder where it'll be.

Not gonna lie though, for a moment I thought Hasbro was making a Marvel Legends Santa. Which makes it my fault that I was then underwhelmed to see it was classic Ultron.

If he's not in the bad guys wave, which he might not be, then I'd have to assume (without going to rank speculation) he'll be in an Avengers wave.

Ultron could always be another deluxe figure.

Does anyone else think they’re hint about “extras” and “surprises” with Nova indicates some cool alternate heads? Maybe Rhomann Dey?

If they go that route then he better come with a ton of stuff and/or a flight-stand, well more than War Machine had anyway.

It wouldn't be accurate to be with his classic costume but maybe he'll come with Cosmo since he debuted in Nova's series and Cosmo considers Rich among his closest friends, plus I want my space dog.

I'm so stoked for the House of X wave. It's not a slam-dunk, but it's pretty close (at least for the dudes), and Cyclops, Magneto, Wolverine, and Xavier were definitely topping my list for characters I wanted to see in their contemporary looks. If we could get Apocalypse and Cypher, I think I'd be all set for the Dawn of X, other than a few characters wearing more or less identical versions of some of their older costumes. I actually think I prefer the alternate reality/future/horseman head for Wolverine, which surprises me. The ladies, on the other hand... I'm not too worried about Jean, because I hate this costume anyway, but the cost-cutting on this figure is new levels of disappointing. Karima getting whitewashed is really disappointing too. I'm much more excited for Moira now than I was, though I still would've preferred her 90s yellow and pink bodysuit.
Anyway, here're my top 10 wants at the moment: 1) Psylocke (armour) 2) Destiny 3) Spiral 4) Chamber 5) Lady Deathstrike (rumours say I get to cross this one off the list) 6) Magik (New Mutants) 7) Senyaka 8) Bishop (Uncanny X-Force) 9) Dust 10) Legion |

I keep thinking they know we want her done and they've revealed her, and now they know we're wanting to see when she's releasing, how she's releasing and in packaging shots. They knew that she was a highly requested figure and they've given us the reassurance that's she's coming, but it's like they're not following up on it...for some reason?
I've suspected she'll be the very last thing that's available for preorder for 2020 - and will release in January. Maybe, hopefully, she will be revealed Monday. If that's the case, and she is released next month, or even February, at least it's not a long wait. Still, ever since they revealed her, I keep expecting her to pop up again and....nothing. They gotta be doing it for some actual reason. |

Before they revealed Firestar, J. Jonah, or Black Cat, there was a rumour floating around that those exact three figures were getting retro-carded single releases early next year. Then they revealed all three, and specified that J.J. and Black Cat were going to be on retro cards. First of all, I'll be astonished if Firestar doesn't go up for preorder this Monday, but second of all, I think you can be pretty certain that she'll be sold exactly the same way the former two are being sold: retro-carded, fan channel exclusive (aka, basically not an exclusive).
@Archangel, Gideon and Senyaka! Love it. Deeper cuts indeed. I'd buy them both for sure, but they're not as likely as the other characters on your list of course. I think we'll see all the other 8 figures in the next 2-3 years max. I'm surprised they didn't do something for Iron Man 2's 10 year anniversary like Whiplash, actually.
