And now I feel like a fool for not picking up the Ledger Joker. The only reason I passed on him was because there was no Bat-Bale to go with him. On top of that...The Batsuit just so happened to be my favorite bat suit out of the three movies, as the ones from the Dark Knight series of films was a bit TOO tactical for my liking.
I've seen a couple of re-released Ledgers on the shelf as of recent, I'm hoping I can run into another one soon enough. SMH... |

I found these last night at Toys R Us in Rochester MN while visiting family! I thought I was going insane as NECA hadn't released any info and Noone in the online toy community had posted anything either. It's nice to be surprised in this age of imformation, thank you NECA!!

Yes I did Joe!! With my toys r us rewards I accrued, so I technically didn't pay a thing for them 😉 They looked fresh out of the case fer sure! Oddly they weren't in with the NECA product, but in with the Mattel Batman figs. I assume a NECA rep had just delivered them as the new Kenner Predator line was there as well. The figures are great though! Both have two sets of interchangeable hands, Batman has two batarangs and a grapnel gun which can be clipped to his utility belt (!) Harley comes with two identical Uzi machine guns and her baseball bat! They're solid figures with no QC issues, although I haven't had a NECA QC problem since the Reeves Superman.

Probably close to 9 years now as a stand alone site. I've been here for 8 of them, though part of the Network since 2000.

Gotta get myself that Batman (which as a UK collector means paying an ebay scalper). That's a nice Harley but already have the DC Collectibles version in the same scale and as these 7" DC NECAs are so infrequent, I would've preferred they shrank their Robin, Penguin or Catwoman. Oh well.

Awesome! The Begins suit is my favorite from the Nolan movies.
If they're shrinking the 18 inch DC figures down to the normal NECA size is there a chance they'll do the same for the Arkham Origins Batman? I can't afford and don't have the space for the larger version but I'd get a 7 inch version in a heartbeat. |

Yay they are doing more! I picked up Joker last year because (IMO) Ledger's Joker can be had without a Batman but I still totally want this Batman to go with him anyway. Yeah they never meet on screen when Batman has his Begins suit but he is still wearing it for the beginning of The Dark Knight and I do prefer the more solid look with the Begins suit.

This NECA tradition is the best! I have always wanted a Batman Begins figure n the 7" scale. To have this NECA version based off the amazing 1/4 scale is more than I could hope for. Can't wait to find one in the wild.

I left work in a hurry to check my TRU. No luck but they did stack lots of Neca products on the aisle. Down here in south Texas, it's impossible to find those 7" DC figures. I never saw any in the past & bought all from the WB storefront on EBay. Really hoping Randy post some online options for us, otherwise I'm screwed & definitely not paying scalper price on EBay.

I sure hope NECA lists this in their online store and offers international shipping.

Wow, what an amazing surprise reveal! It's nice having something sprung on you out of the blue here and there. Good job, NECA, and nice find, hellkat1979!
I've seen the Ledger Joker at my TRU lately as well. I picked him up previously, but it's nice to see that NECA is trying to get him into more hands. |

Doesn't sound like they will. Said on Twitter that it's a USA Toys R Us exclusive.

Would love it if they released their Arkham Knight and Origins Batman figures in this scale. They would blow the DC collectibles versions out of the water.

Hey hellkat1979, welcome to the Ark! Looks like you got pretty lucky coming by those! Would you by any chance be interested in trades? Really want to get a couple of those Begins Batmans. Have a pretty big list if you'd like to see!

Just came back from TRU but there wasn't anything besides Ledger Joker's and 66 Batman.
One note of interest, though. There was these two guys there, first time I ever seen them. One was stashing Hovertank Troops then the second was following employees around asking for the case of DC Neca figures. He kept it up, asking every employee that came his way. I'm a collector but this behavior actually kinda pissed me off. Not everyone's gonna know everything about their store. Yeah, I'm looking too, but I know how to have patience. If I don't find what I'm looking for, I'll leave the store reciting U2 lyrics but I'm cool with that. It's called hunting. Sometimes you find what you're after, other times you don't. One more of interest, I did put the first guys Hovertank Troops back on the shelf when he was leaving the store. \m/ |

Hey Stranger, thanks for having me! I went back to tru tonight and bought out the rest of the stock. Three sets are spoken for, however I'm in a bit of a money crunch as I took this month off of work to be with family (the reason I'm in Rochester).
I'm putting a set and three individual Batman's on Ebay in about ten minutes from now, so if anyone's reading this keep your eyes peeled! I can't stand scum bag scalpers so i'm going to start all the auctions at a dollar for a three day window. Good luck everyone!! |
