Truthfully, I don't know if it's just looking on the other side of the fence, but I actually like my KO set better. They don't feel like they're gonna fall apart in my hands when I pose them like the original ones did, and for some reason, I like the cartoon bandana color scheme on these guys. =) |

I've been hoping Neca would re-do these in the classic colors. So glad I waited to buy TMNT for my shelves.

I have to be honest, I like these colors WAY more than the Figuarts or their video game variants

Please Playmates, let NECA do figures for all of the original series characters. And I mean ALL, even the side characters, in scale. And also, please let these be released at mass retail.
Do this and my faith in Playmates will be renewed for once in a long, long time. |

I think I'd prefer a brighter colorway on these molds, but I'm super excited for the set. Just hope I can get one this time.

I might pick these up if I can afford it. I'm trying to get into the Turtles. Always liked them growing up, but exposed to them enough to develop a deep fandom.

These at retail for 20 bucks a piece would be a dream come true. It's really sad that NECA isn't allowed to do it. It's nice to hear that they're trying to make this one easier to get but that's not my problem, it's that I can't justify paying the price necessary. I'm just a causal Turtles-fan.
As such I will wait. One day there have to be some good cartoon-inspired Turtles in stores. |

If NECA releases something at retail it's usually available for a reasonable price around here. Exclusives are a totally different story though, stuff gets expensive real fast. Markups for convention exclusives range from 50-100 bucks around here, usually the latter. And that's a price I'm not willing to pay. |

It may be, and that may end up being the price you pay if you live in the US. But I don't. The Dollar to Euro conversion is not as nice as it used to be, then there's shipping + the profit for the middlemen.

Even if they sold these to the UK through the eBay store, the shipping and customs charges would be sky high...
There's so many variations on NECA 'stores' though... There's the NECA website, the NECA store, the NECA store on eBay, Alien Club, which will likely expand to other franchises... it's too bloody confusing. And even worse if you live outside the US! And now I'm wondering if I'm gonna be hit for customs charges from Alien club

Neca has updated their banner on Twitter with a clear image of the new Turtles.

This set is specifically meant to portray the Turtles as they appear in the cartoon instead of the toys or merchandise graphics so all four should be the same color. Only the toys and the 2003 cartoon gave them different skin colors.

I'm not that big into TMNT, but I am definitely gonna try to get this set. Too good to pass up, and the price is half what I figured it would be.

I don't know why, but I'm just not all that excited for this one. Maybe because there is already a bunch of options out there like this if you want 80's styled Turtles? Perhaps if this set had not come so close off of the heels of the CVG set or NYCC set from last year. Not sure why, but it's just not scratching any particular itch of mine.
They should fire the artist for the packaging too, cause that artwork sucks. Looks more like that hot garbage Cartoon Network passes off for animation these days than the 80's Turtles. |
