None of those Injustice guys look even remotely like they do in the game. Why does Joker have dreadlocks and Ron Wesley's dance outfit from Goblet?

Mattel and DC are having a serious competition to make the ugliest Injustice figures possible. Can't entirely fault the designs either - the sculptors did nothing to mitigate them.
New 52 Wonder Woman still looks nice though. |

WW has some serious thunder thighs going on there.
It's really strange hw much the articulation varies on these- Superman, Batman or Aquaman all have completely articulation- batman and Superman's both seen very limited in range of motion while aquaman looks like he could be posed into some killer swimming poses with that waise hinge joint. Superman wold have greatly benifited from that articulation for flight poses... Is Green Lantern in the game? I'm really hoping they dont botch him too badly...How I yearn for a good GL figure!

Batsy looks good with a few minor details that are off. I still think the ears of the cowl are too long, his eyes shouldn't be white but actual eyes, and the bottom of the cape isn't scalloped. Still, I love the detail on this figure and especially how it looks to be pretty glossy like metal armor. I want it.
Originally, I thought the Superman figure was bloody terrible and looked nothing like the in-game model. That changed with the recent trailer for the game which showed some of the alternate costumes, which is what we have with the Superman figure. And now his figure looks better than the prototype did, though why his face is glossy, I don't know. Still, might be the first Superman figure I pick up in years. Mr. J! What did Mattel DO to you?! Look at his hair, he looks like a damned Saiyan! You look at in-game shots, his hair is nice! And the colors for his suit are just awful. Joker may look like a clown, but he very rarely dresses like one. Sorry Mattel, definitely won't be picking this one up. I'm still saddened by the fact that the Green Arrow, Deathstroke, Wonder Woman, and Solomon Grundy figures are 3 1/4" scale and being sold in two packs, though Green Arrow and Deathstroke look pretty darn good. The Wonder Woman figure looked good too, but not the Grundy. I just wish I knew what went wrong with some of these. I can't imagine NetherRealm saying "Just look at these pictures and go off that." Plus, I was hoping for a 6" of Wonder Woman in her primary outfit. Yes, I know her primary outfit gave her pants...and that's why I like it. But until then? Probably sticking with the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel. Yes he is. Hal was confirmed at the same time as the Joker. Last edited by Shadowknight1; 02-03-2013 at 08:10 AM.. |

DC sucks so bad at making good 6-inch action figures... Compare any of them to Hasbro's newer Marvel Legends and they will be eating dust so quick it's not even funny... ML has them beat on every single aspect: quality control, proportions, articulations, fun, details, body mold variances... Aquaman still has the same exact body mold as every other freakin' DCUC figure FFS. And the Injustice figures are so off-putting with their disproportionate arms and legs! It's a real shame too seeing as I love both Batman and Green Lantern, but I look at my collection for these two characters and I'm basically seeing the same toy painted slightly differently with slightly different head mold repeated 5 times or more. *sigh* Yeah I'm done ranting, lol.

It's sad, I was actually kinda looking forward to the Injustice Joker figure...not a pile of crap. Oh well. Hopefully they really put their best work into the Romero Joker figure we'll inevitably be getting.
Supes and Bats, for the most part, don't look too bad...I guess. They both need new heads, Bats could use some de-blueing, and Supes looks like he's falling apart at the joints. I'll inevitably pass on both. I'll probably get the Man of Steel MM figure as my definitive Superman. Not sure what Batman I'll use. n52 Aquaman actually looks pretty cool. If it wasn't for the weird expression he's got I would probably get him. n52 Wonder Woman looks pretty good too. There's a good chance I'll get her too. That is, assuming this line ever shows up at local retail. I'm not expecting it to, but if it does, I'm definitely getting n52 Batgirl. You can't blame DC for the shit figures. It's all Mattel, and the vastly overrated Four Horseman, to blame for all of this...

Sorry, but while I might think they suck at business decisions, Mattel has turned out many excellent figures in both MOTUC and DCU. The Four Horsemen are hardly overrated. The problem is Mattel's politics getting in the way, as there is no reason why these DC figures should not be coming with alternate hands, interchangeable skirts, etc. Outside of not having every DC figure with double jointed knees and elbows, they usually do an excellent job of articulation. DC Direct still thinks it is the 80s when it comes to toys and posseability.

I have a bunch of Marvel Legends, both Toybiz and Hasbro, and I'd take a DCUC over any of them. Better sculpts, better quality posibility where it matters. (Having a a joint in the foot itself is not meaningful articulation). They have the same range of motion in the hips without those disgusting balljoint hips ML uses. The proportions are usually much better. And I've never gotten one that's floppy. Most MLs I have can't support themselves. They're both typically shit with women, though. But, both have been making improvements over the last year in that department. The onlything Legends have over DCUC? Hasbro is more willing to break their scale for a larger figure than Mattel. That's it.

Gonna pass on Aquaman and this particular Wonder Woman, but as soon as I can, I'll be nabbing the New 52 Batgirl as well. This Batman will look pretty nice next to the JLA New 52 Batman. That's a figure that ended up looking better in person than pictures led me to believe, mostly due to coloring. From the pictures, I expected his suit to be a very light grey when it turned out to be a fairly dark grey. Not to mention I love how they did his cape. Sure he has shit articulation, but I love the way he looks. EDIT: Still wish there were a really good figure of Raven out there. The 3 1/4" figure is nice, but I'd like a big one. And I don't want that big one with the cloak looking like she's advertising McDonald's. Last edited by Shadowknight1; 02-03-2013 at 09:56 PM.. |

Uh, the 6inch Raven that came out in Wave 15 is one of the best DCU figures of them all.

I have no issue with the cape. I prefer it over a static boring cape.
In fact, I never even thought about the cape at all until now.
