WWE figures sure have gone downhill since Mattel picked up the license.

ZERO articulation here. They look to have the same amount the did in 1996 when Jakks first starting running the line.

Is is my idea or these figures used to look at least a bit like the superstar?

When Jakks started making WWF figures (with "Bone-Crunching Action"), they only had 5 points of articulation. These figures are equivalent in posability to the "Ruthless Aggression" style figures that Jakks made at the end of their run. Mattel makes some very nice, super-posable figures, but that is the "Elite" assortment; these look to be basic figures.

Would've been nice to see old school Bret with old school Anvil in the WWE Legends line where the articulation is way better but it's cool that they're getting a rub regardless. Yes I'm aware of the newer Bret, which I already have.

I really don't get why they even bother doing two seperate lines. Like who actually goes out and says, "I want the version of this figure with less articulation..."?

Agreed. I'd be all over these if they were Elite style.
