Yes! Finally a Rey figure from Japan! Want.
Also that Darth Vader looks way better than their last attempt, I might buy one. |

MAFEX Vader pics never look too flattering. The other Vader was an ode to Empire, this one just seems thinner and Represents Revenge of the Sith... so you can recreate that "NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" scene over and over again!... and not much else! I have the first release, is good as is.
BUT REY THOUGH. Depends on how much it's going to be, but I just might consider it. |

Loving Rey. Those extra heads seems really cool.
I'll wait to see more about that Vader. Interesting bit though, I don't know if this has already been discussed, but there's also an "hologram Vader" coming from Medicom apparently: MEDICOM TOY - MAFEX DARTH VADER?TM? HOLOGRAM Ver. |

That's definitely a Hayden Christiensen likeness.

Props to Medicom for getting a Rey out there finally. Bandai is probably working on one, and it may even be better, but at some at point I just want the damn figure. First come first served.

They're a Gary Stu. Plus I wouldn't call him a Mary Sue considering the fact he lost a limbs and was almost burned alive by his early 20's. Plus the fact he was killed in Return of the Jedi. Rey on the other hand is pretty much the definition of Mary Sue.

A Male can't be a ''Mary Sue''

Debating on whether or not to pull the trigger on this. I like Rey's Resistance outfit more. Might wait and see if either Mafex or Figuarts come out with that version.

]A Mary Sue is an idealized and seemingly perfect fictional character, a young or low-rank person who saves the day through unrealistic abilities.

Oh yes, a character who had to learn to speak many languages, including understanding droidspeak, strip and repair 30+ year old technology, as well as piloting just to get by on a planet that makes Tatooine look like a summer vacation spot is "idealized". And what do you know? That definition applies to literally every main character in Star Wars.

I don't have to watch the video. there's more than enough evidence in print to explain her piloting aptitude, language skills, and engineering knowhow. The ONLY reason she beat Kylo Ren on Starkiller Base is because Kylo Ren was emotionally disturbed and conflicted after killing his father and for some reason, finally tapping into the Force allows for feats of unprecedented skill, ie. becoming the first human to win a pod race or hitting a two meter wide exhaust port without computer aid. If you consider Rey a "Mary Sue", then you must do the same for Anakin and Luke Skywalker.

Well that and he got gut blasted by Chewbacca which seems like it would hurt a lot.

If you aren't, then I'm done debating about it because you're not listening too all the facts by ignoring where I'm basing my information from. So lets agree to disagree.

^So, are you gonna settle on a version of your argument, or are you just gonna keep editing forever?
Besides, that video's maker is a furry. Who cares about his opinion? |
