If they're doing Tekken, Yoshimitsu would be awesome as hell.

I hope they reveal some more actual prototypes after Dimitri! I'm glad this company is starting to kick it into gear after a couple years of a slow trickle.

Oooooh, this is amazing news! Would love to see how Taki and Morrigan turn out. BUT, I hope they actually release them like next year! With Storm, I always feel this uncertainty because of their Kitana release that is yet to happen.

SHIT, I'm officially going broke. I HAVE to own the following:
Demitri Maximoff Morrigan Anseland Geese Howard Blue Mary Mai Shiranui I figured Morrigan was coming when Storm showed off the Demitri figure today, but it's nice to finally have it confirmed. I'm a huge Darkstalkers fan and if I can only get two figures, it's these two. It soothes the ache I still feel from the cancellation of Sota's old line from back in the day (before it ever even got off the ground), especially since Storm's will easily blow those away. Also psyched about the Geese Howard and Blue Mary figures. That's a nice surprise. As for Mitsurugi and Taki from Soul Calibur VI, I'm intrigued, but I need to see their prototypes first before I make up my mind. But if Storm makes an Ivy Valentine figure, I'm 100% all-in on that from day one. Last edited by Dolemite; 07-23-2020 at 12:03 PM.. |

Although they're just image renders for King and Paul it's nice to see them finally acknowledge the Tekken line again. Hopefully that means we can expect Jin to go up for pre-order finally soon.

Just the same old picture for the Fist of the North Star line? At this point I have given up any hope of it ever being released.

All nice but need a few of these produced, starting to show they got all these licences and they're spread too thin they need to finish up some lines and IPs. Thinking about that saying about writing checks and not cashing...

Ok, so on the one hand, I don’t want to get jumped on for being “that fan”, but on the other, I just want to say for Mai and Morrigan, I hope Storm’s ready to “go BIG or go home”. These should be two very glamorous ladies, and imho, I haven’t been too pleased with how Storm’s done female figures up until now, the SFV Chun Li in her long dress was a pretty lousy sculpt, so this I think is a real test for these guys. Also hoping they have refined their material choices, really don’t like the “rubber chicken” bodies they use, would be nice to see some more durable PVC.

As great as their figures are, I wish they'd stop using the rubber material too. Doesn't look as if that's going to change tho. The Demitri figure they just showed looks like it will have even more rubber than a typical Storm figures with rubber overlay pieces layered on top of the rubber torso and pelvis.

I really want to see them handle somewhat slimmer characters - if they make Ororchi relatively soon (and judging from the promo art they have picked) we might get an idea cause he looks less buff than others. I mean they keep making these massive bulky characters and the proportions are kinda short and stocky. The only one that seemed to deviate slightly was Rugal.....maybe. Was also very thrilled about the Soul Calibur stuff but you can tell they will use Haomaru for Mitsurugi and maybe Chun-Li for Taki. Almost wish the Darkstalkers franchise was handled by another company with a more slender and stylized approach like Medicos (of SAS Jojo's fame). |

The rubber overlays for the torsos and pelvises. Not the biggest fan of that. So far so good with no degradation but, the heads tend to be easily pushed out of their sockets by the rubber with even minimal posing (not the worst problem to have I know). Id rather they go with hollowed torsos and pelvises made out of the same sturdy PVC (I think) that they use for the arms and legs. And make the heads and necks separate pieces like Figuarts. I'm sure this would compromise articulation but, I don't imagine by that much.

If Storm actually made these 1/12 scale, then I would buy everything they put out. As it were Storm figures are actually closer to 1/10 scale, so I mostly pass on everything. Never understood why they called these 1/12 scale in the first place.
