Can anybody tell at all from what version of the turtles these will be? What are the chances they are the '90 movie iterations?

I'm really curious to see what they come up with. Wonder if those will look cool enough to make want to get them! |

I'm surprised they are moving forward with the line and I hope it does well. The pricing was too high for the turtles but they are on sale on BBTS,which makes it more reasonable. I didn't understand how NECA could make such great renditions and keep them at 100 while Mondo had their stuff selling for 150 and the little bit of accessories didn't justify the price

On the business side, Mondo tries to create a sense of "exclusivity" with their products with the limited runs for vinyls , posters, etc. and this seems be the case with figures, as well. NECA has released some great stuff, especially with the turtles, but it's positioned towards a different type of collector. Last edited by Freekazoo; 06-12-2018 at 10:40 AM.. |

I love TMNT, but this Mondo line has been a nightmare for collectors/customers. After Mondo displayed the TMNT figures at SDCC, It took around 2 years for all the turtles to ship. People who preordered paid close to $200 a piece, but shortly after the figures were in stock, several stores had them at almost 50% off. They even teased a Shredder figure at least a year or so ago. Unless Mondo can produce these figures in a reasonable timeframe, I’ll just wait until they’re in stock. I would like to have a Casey and Shredder, but I don’t want to wait 2 years. By then NECA may already have one in 7” or 18” scale.
Just think, NECA announced the TMNT license after Mondo already had us preordering their figures. Since then NECA has made; 4 quarter scale turtles, the accessory pack, 2 Arcade TMNT sets, 1987 8 figure set, Mirage Foot clan set, and the soon to he released 1990 7” scale sets! Yet Mondo has only produced 4 turtles and mousers. |
