Those are awful. And Leo has a rebel heart. Ugh.

Wow, those make the designs look even worse than they already are.

so Ralph gets tonfas instead of Sais.
Leo got 1 sword instead of 2. Mikey got...balls on chains instead of nunchuks? But Donnie keeps his stick because sticks are cool? This is from the new show's description: "Raphael, as the oldest and biggest brother, he is the leader full of enthusiasm and bravado; Leonardo, the self-professed ‘coolest’ brother possesses irreverent charm and a rebel heart; Donatello, a mechanical genius and tech wizard whose ninja skills are second only to his coding; and Michelangelo, the youngest brother, a skateboarder and artist who is wild and imaginative." WHY?!?!??!??!?!???!?!????!?!??!??!?!??! Last edited by Cyclopswc; 02-16-2018 at 09:00 AM.. |

This is great. For once in quite a while I won´t be having to spend a dime on ninja turtles!

I know a lot of people like the last Nick incarnation, both the show and toys, but for me 2003 is the last good line of everything. And every year since then just gets worse. Thankfully Neca has the 1/4 figures going on, so that's something.

I guess every generation must have its Next Mutation. The writing on this show will have to be amazing or taps into some kind of humor that little kids just "get" because these figures look awful.

Michael Bay designs starting to look like masterpieces now, don't they? I like to give this show a chance but I have this horrible, horrible feeling about this.

Ralph used tonfas in The Next Mutation too, so I'm guessing this show is a prequel to that.

Normally I try to keep an open mind about new lines until we see them in hand. But these...after how great the turtles were in the last series, this just looks like a train wreck. Here is hoping for a short run and then a return to something resembling the original concept.

I had not thought of this, but good point. And with Transformers rolling out(no pun intended) so many good figures IMO, a little break to the budget is a good thing...

That Meat Sweats villain(?) looks cool, but everything else is just... Yikes... I've never been into Turtles and I know it's not geared towards me but I truly wonder if the designers and animators workshop with kids anymore, you would hope the kids would say those are bad designs but maybe they don't care as long as they're turtles with bandannas and weapons?

First he is the Red M&M, now Splinter. When did Danny DeVito become popular again?

Woof.
Good luck with that. My parents were pretty poor, but even growing up I was a kid with discerning tastes. This aesthetic for an action cartoon would be a tough sell for me, yeah. Some of the jankiest stuff passes muster these days, though. So who knows. |

For all of you who cried Michael Bay ruined your childhood...well...don't worry...Playmates will finish it off and back over it with a car.

Well it’s 100% confirmed...this show is just for kids. These toys remind me of what you would get in a Happy Meal. I thought maybe the ninja would be a foot soldier, but nope. There are way too many changes going on in the new show. I wouldn’t be surprised if they change the origins. No sign of Shredder, Krang, or any ooze. Maybe magic turns them into turtles. This looks so bad, I mean it’s a combination of Next Mutation and Michael Bay designs. What moron thought this up? The toys look like I figured, Ben 10/TMNT.
At least I had no hopes anyway. I’m only buying NECA TMNT these days anyway. |

Okay, I’ve really liked just about every iteration of the turtles, but these look awful. And the toys look like they’re made out of play-doh.
