But I think most of the love comes from their awesome portrayal in the TMNT Adventures and Mighty Mutanimals comics.

Ah now thats where my brain gets hazy, was it the comic book or cartoon where they went on a window-smashing spree around the city?? I can remember that as clear as day,but cant remember the medium or context!!!! And i know absolutely nothing about the other comic books they were in either!!!

Count me in for Casey Jones, Wingnut & Screwloose.
Man, this fall is going to be rough on my wallet with FOC/Generations and TMNT hitting around the same time. Awesome. Welcome to the Toyark.

I'm really hoping they decide to make more mutants, both old and new. Leatherhead is a good start as he was one of my favorites but I'm hoping for updates on a LOT more of them! Bebop and Rocksteady are neccessary of course but Ray Fillet(ManRay) Mondo Gecko, Wingnut & Screwloose, and Scumbug are big hopes for me as well. Hell, I had most of the mutant characters from the original line and would die of "too much awesome" if they were all reimagined for the new line.
Now I'm positive that none of my hopes will be realized, but it's fun to think about. I'm just crossing my fingers that we'll indeed see more mutants because the lack of them in the 2000 line just made me feel "meh" about EVERYTHING in the line. |

Actually, I think in one of those videos that was up on MTV's site had a guy saying one of the things they want to do with the show is bring back the whole mutants via ooze, thing. And that they want to have fun with the idea and bring in a whole bunch of new mutants.
So you can probably uncross those fingers. |

Loved the Adventures comics from Archie. My favourite run was when they were on Stump Asteroid doing the wrestling tournament.

I'm kind of hoping for the mutant frogs to be updated in this line. They were the perfect fill in for the Battletoads, and made a perfect side team for the TMNT.

I really can't wait for this line.
I grew up on the original black and white comic and tabletop pen and paper RPG and remember being slightly let down when they launched as Hero turtles in the UK during the 80's. I now collect toys with my 7 year old daughter so I can't really agree with SaitoNetwork when he say that parents would like kids to watch pg13 shows. She has aleady started saving for this line after being let down by Mattel on young justice and bandai with thundercats I just hope this does more that 2 waves. Does anyone know whether these have a UK release date or will I be best to just pay the customs charges and Import direct via BBTS? |
