Cool thread! My toy resolutions are few but here they are.
1) Try and trade more with fellow arkers when possible. 2) Finish up the holes in my MU collection mainly Series 1 002 Spider-Man (Light Colored one) & The Sentinel/Silver Surfer (Dark Variant). 3) Get 1 more Detolff Shelf from Ikea for figures. 4) Finish up a little project i have going on that you will benefit most members of this board. |

Ooo... Ooo... I only got one resolution this year. Stop buying toys... for like, the rest of my life. LOL. Already lasted 48 hours. *pats self on back* LOL.
But I made two exceptions to my resolution... MU Psylocke (since it actually came out before 2012) and any 3.75" classic looking G.I. Joe Jinx that get's made... since I have been waiting for that fig for 5 years now. LOL. |

My main resolution is to get my fucking career going. I'm one of those guys that did the bare minimum for the last few years and accepted the shitty job I had because it was easy and paid decently enough (of course that all came to an end when I couldn't deal with the shitheads that were my coworkers), and now that I'm trying to find a new job no one wants to hire a 25 year old in college who doesn't plan to work at their shitty company for more than a few years max. I guess I'm hurting from my pride, but without it who am I?
My second priority is to live a little healthier and to seriously make an effort to do so. I haven't been taking care of myself and it is catching up to me. I liked what I heard earlier in this thread about trying to help out other Arkers with finding stuff so that we're not wasting too much cash on stuff that should've been found in retail, plus a commitment to indulge less would be helpful to many of us. |

Most of the resolutions I wish to set are non-toy related. Since I am mainly a Transformers collector, the few I have center around that line.

1) Bills come first PERIOD 2) If I can't afford it, DO NOT BUY IT! if you are meant to have it, it will become available again! |

1. Save up for a house.
2. Work on my TF collection, filling in gaps. 3. Cut down on or stop collecting some of the other lines.

My only toy rule for 2012 is to look the other way when I start seeing the new Marvel Legends hit retail.
No new lines for me.

2012: be 300% more selfless (and not buy allll the rare stuff), spend more time with my sibling (take her hunting with me), be less judgemental (of other collectors) and GET BETTER AT CUSTOMIZING

So how did everyone do!?

I was successful in my resolution for this year - I aimed to be more sensible in my buying, and indeed I have spent less this year than in any year since 2004.
My resolution for this year is to sell off all the things I don't want or need anymore, the volume of toys I have is crazy and I need to do something about it.

Well this is my first year on this particular forum. It's also my first year collecting action figures again after a several year long hiatus. I used to collect all kinds of robots, but I sold my original collection years ago like an idiot. Basically my New Years resolution is to start rebuilding that collection.

A fine plan!
My resolution is also to limit the number of large/expensive figures I buy. At the moment MP Soundwave, Generations Omega Supreme and MU Fin Fang Foom.

I just read threw last years resolutions and it's hilarious that as soon as someone mentions selling ML all of the people that just said they wanted to cut back on ML come out of the wood work ready to buy. lol I def agree that as a community we should be helping each other out with retail figs that others can't find Ie bag head Spidy & Prof X wave. My 2013 resolutions are: Be more active & drop some lbs. Work on my relationship. Def cut back on toys. GI Joe has made it easy MU, DC, MOTUC not so much Sell extra/ excess toys. I'd love to sell all of my ARAH Joe stuff and G1 TF Be more selective on comic art purchases. Shit's getting expensive. I'd like to get back into customizing and playing the guitar as stress relief.

I'm going to stick with last years res and just buy things I think are absolutely cool and worthwhile to me. That and try and slowly fill in the gaps to my G1 and SW collection.
Having said that, I have been incredibly tempted to start back up my replica lightsaber collection, filling in the gaps there, and start to pick up some Hot Toys and Marvel Statues. |

Second verse, same as the first. Especially since I didn't do so well with #3 (dammit, Nick Turtles. Why'd you have to be so good?).

I hear ya, I wasn't going to get them but damn they look so good. I still want the classics but have resisted so far. I even broke down and bought some vintage TMNT accessories and figures to go with the new guys. If I had more room I'd buy the sewer and turtle van. ... My goal for the new year is to finish off my ML/MS/movie IM collection, and doing quiet well complete of ML just need to find a few missing accessories. Cherry pick the ML figures from older waves I want, and work on the new ROML figures. I also want to try and get rid of a lot of items I don't want/need. Might hit up a yardsale sometime and sell some items.
