iam a newbie to collecting toys only been collecting about a year got the bug as my son loves collecting gaming figures like res evil, bioshock etc. after being on holiday in florida we went to mikes comics and collectables and bought some great toys now iam into hot toys 1:6 figures. my question is are dc direct deluxe figures hot toys or are they different as iam new to this also how do you tell a toy is genuine hot toys? thanks in advance DC Collectibles (formerly DC Direct) releases numerous statues, busts, and figures at various scales. They have a good archive on their website to see their entire product line. Most of their line would be very hard to confuse with any 1/6 Hot Toys figure. Though sculpting can be very high quality, articulation is usually somewhat limited on these figures. Even their poseable figures can be criticized since their poseabilty can be very limited. You can search their product line here: Collectibles| DC Comics | Statues, Action Figures, Props, Replicas and More (Browse "All" to see 73 pages of product, sorted alphabetically) Hot Toys specializes in 1/6 scale fully articulated figures with a few 1/4 scale specials. They also have some vehicles, busts, and a few super-deformed figs, but these are minimal in comparison to their 1/6 offerings. They usually specialize in movie-accurate figures with "human" detail replicating real actors or live action movie characters, rather than comic or artistic interpretations. These are generalizations, but they truly can be difficult to confuse one for the other. You can search their product line here: Hot Toys |

If your into DC mostly hot toys do them although i think mainly superman and batman but if your into classic look then dc direct is good. to find prices just type in ebay gets you an average and depends on how rare the figure is as well as the condition , there is a DC forum , you can ask there im sure they will have most of your answers ebay ... This is UK version http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_od...1%3A6&_sacat=0 This is US version http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40 Last edited by warmachine6; 10-29-2012 at 01:35 PM.. |
