Fist off, I hope this is the right forum. I am collecting marvel/dc figures only, so i seek council from those that do like wise.
I am just starting getting into action figures this week as I bought an X-Force Wolverine off amazon and was very impressed with it. Way better than the old 90's X-men figure i had as a kid. I picked up 2 more Legends (Bleeding Edge Iron Man & Punisher) and loved them as well. My next thought was I have to get a Deadpool as he is another character I would want. But couldn't seem to find any of the recent Legends run in red. I came to find out this is a variant and very rare. I was very disappointed in the news (since red is his classic costume), why not make the X-force suit the variant? Seems classic red would move more units to me. I recently got out of heroclix due to frustrations with some impossible to obtain figures (Con-Exclusive Flash Venom/Dr.Fate) and didn't think I'd be experiencing this again with "non-blind packaging purchases" such as action figures. Will they eventually re-release the red suit one? Or should I try to paint the X-force Pool? Or am I just going to have to accept the fact that I will never get one? Thanks for listening... TL;DR: Why they no sell red Deadpool? |

Hasbro already released a red Deadpool, a while ago. He was a TRU exclusive that came in a 2 pack, he came with xforce Warpath, and there was a variant set which had Deadpool in xmen blueish green/yellow and a repainted Warpath. The set sells for $100-250 range. Hasbro released the xforce Deadpool to help complete the team as they did warpath and did the sdcc 3 pack which had wolverine, archangel and psylocke. The red variant Deadpool was made to help collectors who missed out the firce time he was released, which gives them a 2nd chance to get the figure at at retail prices not $50+. But that variant wave, which includes him, blade, moonstar, and ff doom, is very rare to find except some areas over-seas. They may surface and hit retail, but nobody knows when or where. If you want a red deadpool you can buy 1 online, but it's going to be in the $40-100 range. I'd say the cheapest thing to do would be paint an xforce figure, same exact mold, unless you want the old school toybiz one. If you haven't already, go to marvellegends.net and checkout pics, it's a great reference site.
