Sentinel Prime:
Greetings!

I'm going back and forth between 3.75" Marvels and TFs lately, and here's my newest, Cable V2. This is the second version of the character I've done, the first was a commission for a friend in Iraq. As always the recipe follow the pics!

OK, so, the body is that of Punisher. The metal arm is from Maverick, as is most of the gear you see on Cable's body. I got a couple of comments on the first version, so I beefed him up a little using Maverick's shoulder armor. All joints were sanded and he was painted using my favorite paint, Testor's Model Master. All yellow parts were painted brown, then dry brushed using 2 shades of yellow. All guns are included. The end result is a figure as tough as any you'd buy at the store. Even though he's small, I put all of the detail in him I could...notice the tedious red pinstriping on the gloves and boots as well as the tiny X-badges and silver buckles. I always liked Cable so I put alot into him!

Thanks for your time!
Snowflakian:
LOVE it with maverick's armor. That's beautiful, though I probably would have left it yellow. Still amazing awesome work though. Now if only hasbro would make him this awesome.
dudeman:
how did you take the arm out
Snowflakian:
The awesomeness of this guy makes me want him badly. So I second the how did you get punisher's arm out question. Maverick works with the hair dryer technique.
Prem1x:
Excellent work. The effort shows.
RenegadeReviews:
I swear I've made for half the hits on this thread... Just gonna say it one more time: Amazing job man! It's not an easy task.. I know that well now!
Optimus Scourge:
Nice work, man! Well done!
trebleshot:
Very nice! Hopefully a Hasbro version will be just as good.

Sentinel Prime:
Thanks so much! It's always an honor. This forum is always so kind to me, I truly appreciate it.

I'm glad Cable is appreciated, I have to admit, I'm pretty proud o' the little guy.

It's weird, going back in time, Rob Liefeld is HORRIBLE, yet Cable evolved and ended up as a character I still love.

Thanks so much!
trebleshot:
Thankfully your custom didn't try to get too accurate to Liefeld's "artwork".
ad1976:
good looking Cable. The paint scheme is dead-on. I wish the MU line would pay more attention to doing some custom accessories instead of having the collectors mix and match in order to get the right look. Having badass characters with sloppy accessories is kinda lazy. Case in point Punisher; what the hell is up with his guns? Then Bullseye; why does he need such a big submachine gun?
DarthOnyx:
Great job bro!
butterthepure:
That's fantastic! Very inspiring!
superquad7:
Congrats on the honor.

THIS custom is too cool!
