Bandai has released new images of the DX VF-27 Lucifer prototype, as well as the 1/72 mass production VF-27 model kit. The DX prototype is a significant improvement over the DX VF-25 toys from Macross Frontier, featuring significantly longer and more detailed landing gear, thigh swivels, and the ability for giant beam rifle to mount underneath even with the landing gear down. Could these significant improvements make their way to a DX VF-25 2.0, possibly by next fall?

The VF-27 Lucifer was a menace to the Frontier fleet in the 1st half of Macross F. Exceeding the speed and power of the VF-25 Messiah, this fighter was fitting for the Macross Galaxy fleet. Hit the title bar to see more!
