For those of you who missed out on Yamato's previous releases of the 1/60 VF-0 Phoenix, here's another chance to buy them! This coming April, Yamato plans to rerelease the following variants of the VF-0 from Macross Zero:
  • VF-0S
  • VF-0A
As a testbed for technology planned for use on the VF-1 Valkyrie, the VF-0 Phoenix is a much larger and bulkier aircraft with lower thrust engines, and an airframe that is less sleek. Produced in limited numbers, the VF-0 sees combat against the Anti-UN SV-51 variable fighters, in the prequel to Macross! Previous releases of the VF-0 from Yamato were prone to arm breakages(though the VF-0S w/Ghost set and the stand alone rerelease afterwards were said to be okay). Also, April will mark the 1st time that the VF-0A will be rereleased. So of course the big question is, will the arms be fixed?

At this point and time we can presume that the arms will be fixed and not prone to breakage, however, since we don't know for sure, it's best to just cross your fingers for now. With the long lapse between the release of the original VF-0A and the upcoming reissue, perhaps Yamato has figured out a way to make the arms much more durable and sturdy this time around. Each VF-0 reissue will retail for 17,640 yen. Click on the title bar to see more!

I presume it is fixed and sincerely hope it is. Chances are I will get both eventually but I think I will take a gamble and might pre-order the A. Always loved the color scheme and it has the VF-1 Wolfpack markings(F-14 Tomcat squadron).
QuantumShock:
I really hope they reissue with the ghost pack.

If they make Shin's AND it's fixed, it is so mine!
Joz:
I managed to get my hands on both first issues of the -0A and -0S, as well as the Ghosts.

Classic thoughts run through my mind... if they've fixed it, should I get them again?

Just get the ones you don't already have man, like if they reissue the Shin bundle(which I am hoping for).
