DESTRO: This is a list of Marvel figures you would like to see made for the upcoming Marvel Fury Files 3 3/4 Line.
Characters do not need to be Action Figures that have already been made. They can be characters from comics or a version of a character that has yet to be made. Please read the rules of this thread before you post a Figure.
#1 -Each item should have a title, bolded, then an image representing that item, then a short description of that item and why you think it is that important to be on the list. Images are for people who may not have seen the version/ image of the figure you would like to have made. Please post 1 figure per post.
#2 -Do not hotlink to images on other sites. Host them in your Toyark photo album, or use Photobucket.com.
#3 -You may always link to you homepage, blog, or site if you have one.
#4 -Have fun! This thread can be a huge base of knowledge for new and old fans looking for custom ideas and for others to see Marvel characters and versions of characters that would appeal to the action figure community. DESTRO: The Uncanny X-Men: Ice-Man
First up for me is the ToyBiz 1992 UnCanny X-Men: Ice-Man Action Figure. Not only is should Ice-Man be considered a core Marvel Character IMO he makes for a unique design with many options in the figures construction.
The ToyBiz Version shown below is a great example of how the figure should be produced. The clear plastic look with the color change feature is a design that is not new to Hasbro. The first and recent example that comes to mind is the G.I. Joe 25th Zartan.
With Updated articulation, better sculpting and remolded ice sled I think this would be a hit that all Marvel fans would want to collect. The ice sled could be made in a fashion that would allow him to hook his hands onto it giving off the effect of producing the sled. I would only hope if Hasbro did decide to produce an Ice-Man figure they would not go with the Clear Blue (Variant GI Joe Wraith, Star Wars Ghost, BotCon Mirage) type of figure we have seen them put out in the past few years. The blue color plastic looks awful when trying to reproduce the clear effect.
The figure show here is over 15 years old and has not turned yellow. Please do not use that excuse for adding the blue to clear plastic. Bottom Line Please Produce A Killer Ice-Man Figure! Metal Chaos: Ultron We have never had a decent, articulated Ultron figure. It'd be nice to give him some detailed features, a sword similar to the one in the pic, some better articulation and maybe some sort of beam blast accessory. Alyosha: Wolverine as Apocalype's Horseman Death
This Lenial Francis Yu designed costume only appeared for a few issues of Wolverine and Uncanny X Men. Despite all that, I really dug the middle eastern look of the armor and design. I think a figure with the proper level of sculpting detail based on this design would be a knockout in hand.
I've thought about trying to make a custom version many times, but maybe with the upcoming influx of Marvel figures in my favorite scale (3 3/4) we could have a shot. A companion Hulk as War would make a great two pack.
Give this figure removable armor on the arm and upper torso to allow for Joe style posability, swappable clawed hands, and his sword and I think this would be a winner. Flint: Bob, Agent of Hydra
An oddball choice, but when the inevitable Deadpool figure gets released, he will need his lackies to cower in terror behind him. Bob should include his Dental Plan card (The reason he joined Hydra) and Deadpool's severed head to help reatttach after Wolverine cut Wade Wilson's head off to shut him up.
Hasbro will most likely make some Hydra Figures so this will be an easy mod for them. AdrienVeidt: I'm not gonna list anybody we've got a decent chance of getting; but I'll chime in with a villian that's never had any fig at all, that I'm aware of. The big Mofo sure deserves it, tho: KURSE.
Originally Arngrim the Dark Elf, he fell into a fiery pit after being tricked by Malekith the Dark Elf sorceror, who blamed the fall on Thor. Resurrected by the Beyonder, and fueled by a blinding unstoppable hatred of Thor, Kurse was an unstoppable wall of fury.
Also, Simonson rules. DESTRO: The Uncanny X-Men Cyclops
Second on my list is the ToyBiz 1991 UnCanny X-Men: Cyclops. Its safe to say we will get a new Cyclops figure in the new Fury Files line in the first year. The only question is what version will we see.
My favorite version of Cyclops is the blue base with white stripes. Even if the Marvel Team goes with the Movie look at first, or one of the many looks this character has had over the years, this would be a great repaint idea. I also like the Light Up Visor feature which was included with the 1991 ToyBiz version. Alyosha: AV- I'll ride with you on that one. Kurse is a great design, and would be an amazing looking figure if they deigned the sculpt based on the Simonson artwork. Also, a Thor the Frog of Thunder accessory would be great (and they could even just reuse the proto sculpt pictured below!) trebleshot: What If? #51: Punisher as Captain America
Since Steve Rogers is currently dead, Iron Man had some CA-themed armor made and Bucky has assumed the actual role, I would love to see other characters step up to the plate, such as Punisher here. Just the cover invokes a wealth of imagery.
Give him Cap's shield with a Punisher skull painted on it and replace the star/skull chest emblems with the symbol on the above pic and I'd buy him. deceptifocus: i loved that iceman, but heck they even did the blue paint on guardians white, id be surprised if they did a full clear iceman, i kind of liked the...i think it was iceman III, he had the covered mouth and spikey back, much more edgy iceman Alyosha: That Iceman figure your talking about DCF is the "Age of Apocalypse" version. It took me forever to hunt down all the different figures that eventually got made from that series in the old Toy Biz line. He was one of the better ones. Alyosha: Exiles Mimic
What's not to say about this cool design. You either know what a great character this was in Exiles, or you don't. Take all the cool key points of his first incarnation in that book (the powers of: Wolverine, Colossus, Cyclops, Beast, Angel) and a great costume design and you've got a figure that will most definately pop out in your collection.
Give the figure movable wings, a flying stand, and hands with claws out with clear red posable goggles and you can't lose. Alyosha: Morph from Age of Apocalypse/Exiles
Along with Mimic, this great reincarnated character would be a visual standout. Give him some oversized rubbery fists, a soft goods cape, and an alternate goofy headsculpt and it's a recipe for plastic cool-ness. Nemesis*Prime: UDON Studios Taskmaster
I never had much interest in this little known Marvel villain until UDON Studios reinvented him for his own limited series. I like this costume more then his old one because it fits a lot more into the look of a modern day mercenary. You don't need any gimmicks for this one just load him up with a lot of guns and his custom 'shield' generator that he wears on his right hand. Nemesis*Prime: Maverick
A kick-ass Weapon X member created during Jim Lee's stint at Marvel. Again another figure that doesn't need gimmicks just a lot of guns. Nemesis*Prime: Deadpool
. . . . I need a reason? Nemesis*Prime: War Machine
The War Machine armor always seemed a lot more menacing and it's always been undervalued in my opinion. With this figure Hasbro could definitely amp up the extra options like spring loaded weapons, rotating cannons, removable armor etc. Nemesis*Prime: Mystique
Since the new G.I. Joe line has been seriously lacking in a variety of female characters this line is going to have to make up for it. First up Mystique. Perhaps Hasbro can treat this one as the MU equivalent of Zartan and add in some kind of skin color change ability or perhaps just a couple of masks. Nemesis*Prime: Marvek Knights Black Widow
In case anyone's already figured out most of the Marvel characters I'm listing because they could also easily fit into the Joeverse as well. Next up a girl for the good guys, Black Widow. For accessories I think a grappling hook of some kind would be a good fit. trebleshot: Quote:

I first gained interest in him when he became a regular in Deadpool's comic as a comic foil (and because DP beat him by using "Crazy" long before Owen Wilson did in Shanghai Noon). Nemesis*Prime: Exiles White Queen
Since Alyosha brought up the Exiles team I thought I'd add one as well. I my mind Emma Frost will always be a villainess and I really like this Exiles Hydra version of her. Nemesis*Prime: X-Men Xtreme Sage
Another second tier X-Men character that I've felt is undervalued. Sage holds the honor of being the X-Men's chief intelligence agent and number one spy. Flint: Firestar
Firestar was created for one of my favorite cartoons, Spider-man and his amazing friends. She was then brought into Marvel continuty with her own mini series and even joined the new Warriors.
Over the years we have only seen one figure of her, which was a Toy Fare Exclusive and recently a bust has been produced.
We have Spidey, hopefully we get a good Iceman as Destro has been sugested, with Ms. Jones we can reunite the Spiderfriends.
Her accesory should be Ms. Lion, the dog from the show. DESTRO: Nemesis*Prime great choices, I would buy all of those. The one thing about Sage is she looks a lot like the Baroness and Hasbro just made a killer upgrade to that figure they could use. The downside is she has that goofy P-90 Assault Rifle.
Taskmaster looks Rad, never even seen that character before.
Flint hell yeah we need a Firestar! I think the reason they stay away from Firestar is because of the Phoenix. If they produce that figure the orange parts should be clear.
Alyosha you can pull that Version of Wolverine if they give us a nice 3 3/4 body to work with. The DTC Major Bludd has the scarf and use the shoulder pads from Tomax and Xamot. Flint: That might be the case for Firestar Destro, but I want one so badly. Good idea on the clear parts though. And if they don't like that version of her (although that's the one I want) they could go with this look DESTRO: Iron Man Iron-Man toys have been around a long time. One of the best attempts to do the line correctly was the 1996 ToyBiz Iron-Man Line. Not only did this line feature some of the best assortments for secondary characters:
Blacklash, Blizzard, Century, Crimson Dynamo, Dread-Knight, Grey Gargoyle, Hawkeye (Iron Man), Mandarin, Spider-Woman (Iron Man), Titanium Man, U.S. Agent (Iron Man), Whirlwind
The Iron-Man concept ToyBiz used was on-point. They Basically made a default Iron-Man sculpt with peg-holes in key places all over the body style. They then designed all of the armor to fit the one basic body type.
With very little remolding from the basic body type they created 12 of the best Iron-Man toys ever made. The best thing about this design was All of the Armor was removable and could be used with the other versions.
Tony Stark, Iron Man, Iron Man (Arctic Armor), Iron Man (Hologram Armor), Iron Man (Hydro Armor), Iron Man (Inferno Armor), Iron Man (Samurai Armor), Iron Man (Space Armor), Iron Man (Stealth Armor), Iron Man (Subterranean Armor), War Machine, War Machine 2
They started out with the Basic Tony Stark and worked their way down the line to War Machine 1 and 2.
If Hasbro were to take this idea and apply it to the new 3 3/4 Marvel Fury Files Line it would cut cost with no new tools for the body type, give the fans the ability to build an actual Hall Of Armor and make any armor set Hasbro wanted to produce very simple. Check out the Line Up Below AdrienVeidt: Quote:
Originally Posted by Nemesis*Prime In case anyone's already figured out most of the Marvel characters I'm listing because they could also easily fit into the Joeverse as well. | Going along with this idea would be Madame Masque, Count Nefaria's daughter. She could easily be done with a tweaking bash of the Baroness/Scarlett molds and a new head. flywheels: Quote:

I'm all for Firestar, but I would want her in her classic uniform or perhaps the 2nd outfit she wore w/ the New Warriors...but not the suit George Perez designed for her while she hung w/ the Avengers! Flint: Quote:
Originally Posted by flywheels I'm all for Firestar, but I would want her in her classic uniform or perhaps the 2nd outfit she wore w/ the New Warriors...but not the suit George Perez designed for her while she hung w/ the Avengers! | Classic all the way for me.
And Destro, you are 100% correct on the 96 Iron Man line. The Silver Centurion Iron Man is still my favorite Iron Man to this day. darthdoug: I love that ICEMAN figure. Although it was cool enough to buy 3 of it, I never could get the nerve to open any of them. I bet it would have been fun to play with. Shin Densetsu: New Captain America-While I don't particular like the idea of bringing someone back from the dead(which is typically involved a huge retcon), I love Ed Brubaker's writing and he is one of the few writers who can turn a crappy idea into an amazing story. Bucky, thought to be have died in WWII, returned to the Marvel Universe as the Winter Soldier, a Cold War assassin for the Russians, who later regains his memories and rejoins Captain America. Captain America is killed, and while Bucky knows he cannot be Steve Rogers, he tries his best to be Captain America, and ends up doing a great job. He knows he has huge shoes to fill but puts in great effort. Normally these kinds of stories suck but Ed Brubaker is a genius, and this story is excellent, a must have.
Not only is New Captain America a great character, he is involved in some of the recent Marvel storylines such as Secret Invasion, and will be involved in future Marvel storylines for next year. Hasbro is working closely with Marvel so that the character selection in Marvel Universe fits in well with what is currently going on in the Marvel Universe. That is another reason why New Captain America would be a great fit in this line, especially if he is featured prominently in Marvel's big events/crossovers next year.
I would not mind an evolutions set, Bucky-Winter Soldier-New Captain America. Accessories could be the numerous weapons that Winter Soldier used during the Cold War, Bucky's WWII accessories, and of course, New Captain America's pistol, knife, and shield. Super_Megatron: Guardian
Leader of the Canadian super powered team Alpha Flight, Guardian shows his Canadian pride every day with this costume that screams Canadia! Super_Megatron: Wolverine Brown and Tan Costume
Wolverine's classic yellow and blue is ok but the brown and tan is much better, how is he supposed to sneak up on people wearing yellow? SportingBot: Mister Fear
Mister Fear is a cool villian!
Daredevil needs more villians to fight than just Bullseye. SportingBot: Terrax
We also need to see some cosmic heavyweights for this Marvel line...maybe a BAF.
Terrax!!!! Vulcan Raven: The one the only..Silver Samurai SportingBot: Frog-Man
The Fabulous Frog Man is a young man who hoped to do good with the name of Frog Man. He clumsily tried to battle crime to redeem his father's name. He is able to leap great distances. Edit
Origin
Frog Man is the son of the super-villain Leap-Frog.
Powers
Frog suit gives the ability to super-jump. It's also possible that Frog Man has some sort of Luck powers.
No toyline can ever be complete without a lame character. Pythona: Spiderwoman (Jessica Drew)
Bendis really pissed her fans off by replacing her with a Skrull after teasing us by bringing her back in New Avengers. Jessica Drew is one of my all time favourite characters and deserves an awesome toy. If you want to make it plot relevant I would accept them giving her an alternate skrull head which I would discard. Pythona: Shadowcat
Shadowcat's just an awesome character, between her and Jubilee I'd certainly pick her as the more interesting of Wolverine's younger-girl sidekicks, she's been an agent of shield, ninja, and much more. You could give her a lockheed and a Katana (harking back to her Ninja days under Ogun) as accesories.
I'd love to see her blue-jacket and face mask, but her X-men uniform is okay too. Flint: The Beyonder
The major protagonist behind the Secret Wars (and secret Wars 2 if you care to remember that)and even an apperance in the 90's Spiderman series and he has still never recieved a figure. After all these years I think it's time for the Beyonder to be immortalized in Plastic. Flint: The High Evolutionary
I remeber back in the early 90's there was a huge crossover called the Evolutionary war, and the High Evolutionary was the man behind it all. Another long running character who never recieved a figure. While the kids might not enjoy splicing genes with him, at least he looks cool. Flint: Forbush Man
We got cheated out of this guy when Toy Biz lost the Marvel License so lets make up for it now.
Here's a little history on ol Irving
Irving Forbush was a fanboy janitor at Marvel Comics in the 1960s who wanted to get autographs of all the superheroes. Unfortunately, they all told him to get lost. Was it his breath, or his deodorant? Or all of the above, plus a few thousand other things?
Too stupid to be discouraged, Forbush returned home to his lovable Auntie Mayhem and Uncle Benny. When Auntie Mayhem complained that he was taking too long to clean the dishes and that he was a disgrace to Forbush-dom, Irving replied that if he was a superhero, he could clean the dishes in no time. A trifle upset at being answered so flippantly, Auntie Mayhem gently reprimanded her nephew by slamming a pot over his head.
This provided Irving with his inspiration for becoming a superhero! After cutting eyeholes in the pot, Irving took his long-johns, and became a superhero! Forbush-Man was born(not made)!
Forbush-Man's career began successfully, when the Juggernaut, while trying to attack him, tripped over Forbush-Man while he was tying his shoelace, and landed in a vat of quick-drying cement. Following this, every major villain in the Marvel Universe surrendered to Irving. A superhero was born, and he had his own comic, Not Brand Ecch. CrownCoke: To be honest i think that each wave should have a theme... That is after the first couple of waves to give a decent base to work from.
Be it Avengers, Brother of Evil Mutants, X-Factor, or the list goes on. Or even Capt America Vs then the enemies. Or even second tier characters linked with certain characters. Say... Sabertooth and Wildchild. or Mystique and Blink (with built in variant possibility), Capt America and Hawk or Buckey (alternate version being new Capt).
Ideas like that give collectors something to look forward to, and allows the line to expand without the constant repeats of the core figures. Flint: Dazzler
Originally created to cash in on the disco craze, Dazzler exceeded expectations and had a pretty long running solo series. Later on she joined the X-Men, but in figure form I want to see her Disco Days represented. TheRealDubya: Quote:

Golly she makes me want to do bad things to my computer screen. Metal Chaos: War Machine
War Machine needs a fury files fig with it's own mold. We know Hasbro loves repaints but come on, Rhodes deserves his own mold wouldn't you agree? He needs his own design and his own weapons, not a repeat of Iron Man's weapons. We need some heavy hitters to be released in this line and I'm all for War Machine. DESTRO: Dracula
I think hell would freeze over first but it would be cool to get a Dracula figure! DESTRO: Steelskulls
These would make a great Army Builder
The Steelskulls were a group of lackeys trained by the Taskmaster to aid the Grim Reaper in the capture of the Maggia leader, Madame Masque. During their attempt to capture Madame Masque, the Steelskulls were confronted by the Avengers. The Avengers quickly began to overpower the Steelskulls when Madame Masque sent her robotic Inner Guard into the fray. The three groups battled each other until Count Nefaria arrived. The Avengers quickly turned their attention towards Nefaria as the Steelskulls continued their attacks. The Vision soon dropped himself on Nefaria at maximum density, causing an impact that knocked all of the Steelskulls unconscious, where they remained for the rest of the battle against Nefaria. SportingBot: The Wrecking Crew
The Wrecking Crew were formed when Dirk Garthwaite (Wrecker) was approached by Dr. Elliot Franklin with the task of retrieving a a gamma bomb Elliot(Thunderball) had designed, with the intent of ransoming New York for millions of dollars. Dirk manages to retrieve his enchanted crowbar, and during a lightning storm he tells Elliot and his fellow prisoners Henry Camp(Bulldozer) and Brian Calusky(Piledriver) to grip the crowbar simultaneously. A lightning bolt strikes the bar transforming the group into the Wrecking Crew.
These guys would make an excellent 4 pack. AdrienVeidt: Man, I'm lovin' a lot of these suggestions. I'd kill for both a disco Dazzler and an aerobicize Dazzler. High Evolutionary would be supremely cool, as would his Knights of Wundagore. And I'd kill for all of the first five Heralds of Galactus, which we know we're getting at least the Surfer. Terrax is easily the first of the remainders I want, but who wouldn't want FireLord and Nova as well? Admittedly, I could see Air-Walker being pretty low on the list, lol.
Another cool guy would be the Psycho-Man. Hailing from a sub-atomic universe; his machinery enables him to control others' emotions from afar, granting him ultimate mastery over all he wishes. He once used his powers to pervert Sue Richards' emotions so that she turned against the remaining FF as Malice, and demonstrated at last how she's undeniably the most powerful of the Four. AdrienVeidt: BUT... what would be umpty-bajillions of stupid-cool would be if they worked the three Marvel-owned Micronauts into the line: Cmdr Rann, Marionette, and Bug. They've had them in various comics here and there since losing the Micronauts license, and they could just call them the Microns like they've done in those comics. Alyosha: I was just about to add them ya' bastitch! I'd love to see some 3 3/4 versions of the 'Nauts (comic style) especially is they were from the second comic series. Add a mutated Huntarr and a fully armored Acroyear to Bug, Mari and Commander Rann and it's full of WIN!!! AdrienVeidt: Oh, yeah; Huntarr would be piles of win, but I'd prefer his 'gloopy' v1 appearance (at least first, as I wouldn't say no to him in either form). But Acroyear's pretty much a no-go as his name and overall appearance are still Takara trademarks. Cilicia might could be Marvel, tho.
Rom would be piles of win, but also lost in rights-licensing-hell as well. Dire Wraiths could be done, tho; as I believe they were always Marvel-created and owned. Pic taken from this awesome page, with what are probably the very first Joe cosplayers, lol. Alyosha: You don't have to worry about Rom. Mines almost done, and when it is I will be making molds and casting it. AdrienVeidt: Despite being broke as day-old dried-up dogshiat, please put me first on the list. You don't have to paint it or completely assemble it (you can send it to me in a pile after you make sure everything fits) as I'll no doubt want to bash it onto a MicroMan body, m'man. Alyosha: Paint will not be necessary, as it will be cast in metallic silver.
As for Dire Wraiths, there is always hope that the sculpt that was done for the now defunct Toybiz ML line could be worked into this new Marvel line. It was a really great John Romita Jr. looking piece taken right from the middle of Storm with a mohawk days.
Now, back to the topic at hand. AdrienVeidt: Oh, man, I love that you used a fig head under the helmet! Totally gives him some humanity and brings out the whole 'trapped in the armor' riff they had in the comics. WORD.
That's not all there is, tho; is it? There's the jetpack and the feets and at least the Neutralizer, too; RIGHT? Alyosha: Actually, there's an entire figure. The other parts are not in a complete state yet, but everything will be there. I considered making the head trans red so you could paint it silver and get a light piping effect.
BTW, just wanted to say that this is a great topic, and the responses have been both thoughtful and fun. Nice job guys! metaphorge: Apocalypse is one of my favorite villains, and the Apocalypse Rising figure from ToyBiz's X-Men: Onslaught line is one of my all-time favorite action figures. I love Poccy's fresh-from-the-sarcophagus look with the red mummy wrappings.... Nemesis*Prime: Venom
Someone who probably has a better chance of actually getting a figure made (and should), would definitely be one of my all time favorite Marvel villains - Venom. The figure should represent the old school look, in other words very muscular, and I definitely think he should have an opening/closing jaw. Nemesis*Prime: Ghost Rider
Another more popular and better well known Marvel character I'd like to see get shrunk to 3 3/4" inch size would definitely be the Ghost Rider. I can definitely see this one opening up the possibility for a line of MU vehicles because this guy definitely is going to need his rider. All though one thing I will say is I'd rather have the Danny Ketch version rather then Johnny Blaze. I always thought Ketch's bike was cooler. Nemesis*Prime: Cardiac
Back to the ranks of the lesser knowns, this Spider-Man villain from the 90's comes with a host of cool abilities and accessories. In addition to his power staff he also has in his arsenal a robotic falcon. Since his power comes from artificial Beta energy battery which replaces his heart, making some of the figures parts out of transparent blue plastic would probably work well, to simulate a blue glow. Nemesis*Prime: Shatterstar
While technically not an X-Man, Shatterstar was one of the original founders of X-Force and probably one of its most ruthless and efficient members. This one is going to need a few blades. DESTRO: Quote:

Whenever he's drawn that way or a figure made with the super tongue, he looks like a sketch of Gene Simmons done by H.R. Giger. Just give him a jaw that can actually close completely, even if it means having a removable tongue accessory.
EDIT: Shatterstar would kiss much ass! deceptifocus: thats what i think is weird, is how shatterstar, cable, and Kane even had figs allover the place in the 90s and now other than a few cables i havnt seen anything of any of the X-Force team AdrienVeidt: When they get around to doing NightCrawler (and they very damned better), he needs to be sculpted following this guy's drawing tips. He'll need to be able to sit on his haunches and have a bendie-wire tail. Toe joints would be keen; but not mandatory like ankle joints will be. flywheels: Speedball
Come on, after Civil War we've got to get a classic Speedball figure. I'd like to get all of the New Warriors, but since he survived and is still a player w/ the Thunderbolts (come on, drop the lame Penance "act") I figured he would get the priority treatment. flywheels: Namorita
She's Namor's cousin! Do we need another reason? Who cares if she is "dead". flywheels: Kymaera
I'm torn, Namorita or her more Atlantean blue skinned version? Yeah, I like this version the best. Evan Ryan: I don't think I'm gonna be collecting the whole line, but if they have the five original X-Men in a set, I would jump all over that.
But there are going to be a whole bunch of Wolverine's released before that day comes.
And there's no way in hell it would happen, but a few Weapon X (the vol. 2 title) characters would be cool, too. AdrienVeidt: I pretty much want a whole line dedicated just to Thor and the Asgardian side of the MU. I want a Simonson-style Balder with removeable helmet, Beta Ray MFing Bill, Odin, Sif, Heimdall, definately Loki with either both his bighorns helmet and his 'Fs on the sides' helmet, or swappable heads with them, the Warriors Three, the Enchantress, the Executioner, Thor's warchariot with ToothGnasher and ToothGrinder; and a great big-assed Surtur BAF. Even cooler would be a Jormungander BAF that was just three diff pieces: a head, a tail tip, and then a middle body section. He'd be as long as however many of the middle pieces you want to buy and connect would make him. Easiest BAF evar! trebleshot: Firelord Herald of Galactus
Since Silver Surfer seems to be the herald that gets all the attention these days, I thought I'd highlight some of the other servants of Galactus, begining with Firelord here.
One of the four "elemental" heralds, Pyreus Kril has had several run-ins and team ups with Earth's heroes over the years and is known to be somewhat of a "hot-head", due to his apparent arrogance. He represents the fire element (duh).
More on Firelord.
Give him his flame deco and his staff and he'd be good to go. trebleshot: Air Walker Herald of Galactus
One of the four elemental heralds, Gabriel Lan was mistaken for the angel Gabriel when he first appeared on Earth. He was also a friend and former commander of Firelord's alter-ego, Pyreus Kril. In fact, it was because of Lan that Pyreus became a herald. Contrary to his flaming winged appearance, Lan represents the air or wind element.
More on Air Walker. trebleshot: Terrax the Tamer Herald of Galactus
One of the four "elemental" heralds (and one of the more ruthless), Terrax represents the earth element.
More on Terrax.
Although he's had some figures made before, and a new Sideshow statue, I think he'd also be great as a Marvel Legend in a Herald-inspired wave. AdrienVeidt: Also, a single carded Prince of Power outfit Hercules (or even better a comic 2pack with Recorder). TheLoudMaster: Squirrel Girl
This mutant teenager has fought alongside the likes of IronMan and the X-Men and has defeated many challenging foes such as Doctor Doom and Deadpool!! She is currently a member of the Great Lakes Avengers and fights crime with her squirrel friends and powers like super jumping and a prehensile bushy tail. TheLoudMaster: Quote:

Hasbro will most likely make some Hydra Figures so this will be an easy mod for them. | They need other defining features like a miniature Deadpool with his spool-thingie and an alternate screaming Bob head along with alternate Deadpool riding on top of Bob's head head. Echo7Solo: TLM you know what Deadpool I want to see Beast: The Beast - (George Perez / Apeman)
Gotta go with my favorite character and namesake. I'm no fan of the current feline incarnation though. I've bought the few and collectibles they've done of him that way, and it just doesn't work as well as the classic Avengers incarnation. Especially when drawn by George Perez. He'd go great with Destro's #1 request of Iceman as well. Not to mention the Wonder Man (Safari Jacket) who would be my #2 most wanted figure. Gotta have both.
We really haven't seen a good version of Apeman Beast since the 90's X-Men line. The one in Marvel Legends was oversized and doesn't really fit that well scale-wise with the rest of the figures. The Marvel Legends 12" Icons was closer, but the bulky body hurt the articulation. Hopefully they can manage to nail the classic George Perez version of Hank McCoy right off the bat. And they can even do a grey fur variant from when Hank first changed. AdrienVeidt: Quote:

Unfortunately they gave the more prevalent blue version a stupid-ass screaming head and the hard-to-find gray variant a very nice regular head. Never did find the gray version, so I'd be up for a proper blue version of him without a stupid expression on his face. Beast: Quote:

I'd adore an 'Evolution Of The Beast' 3-Pack.
05 "Human" Beast, Perez Apeman Beast, and Astonishing X-Men Beast.
Note the Whedon/Cassaday Astonishing version. Like the ML figure. AdrienVeidt: Quote:

It's pretty obvious that the Showdown line had at least 2 sculptors at the extreme ends of the talent scale. There's no middle ground with those figs; they either completely sucked monkey taint or were pretty damned nice. That Goblin fig is one of the best figs ever in 18th scale. Beast: Quote:

Flint: i thought I would bring back this thread, we can have some more fun with it...
Anyhow, how about G.W. Bridge? A pretty major character back in the original x-Force series and recently a part of the Cable and Deadpool series leading the new Six Pack. He had a figure back in the day, so why not an update. Plus who doesn't like a character with a clever name like that? Flint: Original X-Men Boxset
I love the look with them all dressed in matching uniforms, it's classic. And you gotta love "Snowman" Bobby Drake. Gotta make sure that Angel includes his Rocket Launcher too. Flint: Then, pretty much reusing those molds (Which we know Hasbro loves to do) A few months later we can get the reunion. X-Factor!
I always wanted an Iceman with his WWF Championship Zalis: Tiger Shark Todd Arliss was an Olympian swimmer, and damaged his spinal cord when he rescued a drowning man. Desperate to regain his swimming ability, Arliss willingly participates in an experiment by the scientist Doctor Dorcas, who "cures" him by blending his DNA with that of Namor the Sub-Mariner and a tiger shark. Although successful, the process changed Arliss both physically and mentally: he now had razor-sharp teeth and gills and had become savage and predatory.
Becoming a supervillain and calling himself Tiger Shark, he finds and threatens the Lady Dorma and is then crowned Lord of Atlantis. The Sub-Mariner, however, soon deposes Tiger Shark and the two become implacable foes. Tiger Shark returns to fight Namor time and again, often with allies such as Warlord Krang, Llyra, and Attuma, although the battles come at great cost: Tiger Shark is buried for months, Namor's father Leonard McKenzie is killed and Dr. Dorcas is crushed to death.
Tiger Shark goes to fight other superheroes such as the Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Wolverine, and later as a member of the Masters of Evil, the Avengers and the Thunderbolts. For a time Tiger Shark renounces crime, and renaming himself Arlys Tigershark marries a woman from an undersea tribe of nomads. Tiger Shark, however, reverts back to his old ways when his pregnant wife and her tribe are slaughtered by savage undersea creatures called the Faceless Ones.
Tiger Shark has also mutated into a more shark-like being (complete with grey skin and a natural fin as opposed to a costume ornament) and then inexplicably back into human form. No explanation is given regarding this metamorphosis. Tiger Shark's next appearance involves the theft of an artifact called the "Horn of Gabriel", which he uses to summon huge sea monsters and then direct them against the surface world. Tiger Shark, however, is defeated by the Sub-Mariner and the Mighty Avengers.
When Al Kraven, the son of Kraven the Hunter, began collecting a zoo of animal-themed superhumans, Tiger Shark is seen as one of his captives in a water tank. Tiger Shark is later hired by the crimelord the Hood to take advantage of the split in the superhero community caused by the Superhuman Registration Act.
Before gaining his powers, Todd Arliss was a record-breaking Olympic swimmer but otherwise an ordinary human. After Dr. Dorcas' experiment, he becomes an amphibious humanoid with the traits of a human, an Atlantean (Homo mermanus), and a tiger shark. As Tiger Shark, he possesses the same superhuman strength and durability as Namor, although he weakens if not submerged in water. Tiger Shark also possesses an innate hunting instinct inherited from his shark genes, as once he locks onto prey he cannot stop tracking it until it has been captured or he has been forcibly repulsed. I think that would be awsome! Both teams! EFC: nothing like the old school good ol' Toy Biz Marvel figures and DC Cavbeast: I gotta go with Rick Jones and Captain Marvel. Toss in a Moondragon, Marlo and you've got PAD's series ready to reenact. sparkhunter: like to see alpha flight pack
an excliber team pack gotta have a lockhead dragon
give me lots of hulks (grey hulk, mr fix it, leader hulk, and a red hulk)
one last wish would be 2 four horseman sets (first would be the normal, the second would be age of apocolypse horseman AdrienVeidt: Quote:

The MU fig looks to be a good solid fig; but I don't think it's quite as good as the SS one. The SS one is ganglier, doesn't have bug-eyes, and has overall more articulation. Plus the colors are darker. I wouldn't be ashamed to have the MU fig in my collection, but I'm glad I've got the option to not take it.
I don't expect to be able to say this about many more other characters that get figs in both lines, tho. I'll go with my gut and say the MU fig will generally be better than the SS version. Shin Densetsu: Quote: |

| It most likely will, the SS versions are flimsy. pud333: [quote=Flint;10434]Original X-Men Boxset

Snowman Drake would be awesome! Nemesis*Prime: I think it's time to revive this thread, now that we've all see what Hasbro has in store for the Marvel Universe line this year. After NYCC this past weekend we've already seen a number of characters, some of which people on this board suggested, turned into MU figures. Plus the possibility of 5 more selected from a pool of 70, again, some of which various Toyark members would like to see.
Characters we asked for and are getting:
Iceman
Maverick
Deadpool
Firestar
Wolverine (Brown and Tan Costume)
Characters we asked for and 'might' get:
Mystique
The Beyonder
Dazzler
Firelord
Beast
Tiger Shark
Either Hasbro is paying serious attention to our (the fans) suggestions or they've got a few psychics of their own working for them. Personally I hope Hasbro and Marvel plan on selecting more then 5 characters from that list of 70 for the Marvel Universe line, since there's so many great choices. But in the mean time I thought we should start listing more heroes and villains we'd like to see in 4" scale maybe neither Marvel or Hasbro has thought of. Nemesis*Prime: Darkhawk
One of my all time favorite, and underrated, Marvel superheroes Darkhawk. His suit of alien armor came with a host of weapons and abilities, including a grappling claw, glider wings, and his signature power amulet which could fire energy blasts and create a force shield. Nemesis*Prime: Swordsman
A former member of both Hydra and the Thunderbolts, the Swordsman is a master of his craft and has squared off against both hero and villain alike. Nemesis*Prime: Psylocke
One of the signature members of the X-Men, and one of the choices in the upcoming Marvel 70 character figure choice poll, Psylocke is the ultimate ninja babe. She's played the role of both hero and villain in her sordid past and even come back from death. Her psionic skills allow her to make weapons crafted from her own mind's energy. Nemesis*Prime: Bounty
One probably very few of you have heard of, Bounty made her debut in the pages of the Fantastic Four. An alien bounty hunter, hired to track down and destroy Marvel's First Family, she instead wound up joining forces with them. She later made appearances in the pages of Spider-Man and a few other title series. In addition to her superhuman strength she has an arsenal of weapons at her disposal which would rival the Punisher's. |
