Modern Versions all around at that. Nova especially since all of his previous toys have been that early days basic soldier armor when his prime armor is so much better and aestheticly pleasing. Johnnyakiba: Quote:

Nova especially since all of his previous toys have been that early days basic soldier armor when his prime armor is so much better and aestheticly pleasing. | I would like to see more old/new wave characters. Simular what they did with Ms.Marvel, they release a modern and a classic.
COME ON! Classic Nova AND Modern Nova Prime?!!!
How exciting is that?! Snowflakian: Quote:

And his classic armor could be used for recolors for the rest of the nova corps too!
Like do a nova prime, but then richard's brother in classic armor.
That way fans get the update if they want it, and the classic, without ever hiccuping the line like ms. marvel did. (I'm going to have to buy both again to get a moonstone accurate one T_T ) Johnnyakiba: Quote:

MAN can we get some more people jump starting this thread? Cool Toy Review.com has this topic as their main thread.
What do you think we have in store for the Marvel Universe line at SDCC 09?
I hope that the Gigantic Battles Galactus is shown & I hope we see some more obscure characters.....COME ON GREAT LAKES AVENGERS! Snowflakian: I'm really curious what the gigantic battles will use as molds, that would tell us so much about the figures at least. But speaking of which...
After the Skrull's secret invasion, let's not forget about... Dark Reign Ms. Marvel
Easy parts swap for hasbro...
Maybe a new head sculpt for hair length(I don't know though, that second pic seems like just the head swap will work). And then variant with classic legs or modern legs(she wears warbird's boots now).
Dark Reign Ms. Marvel, or rather the villianous Moonstone gone legit, is the current incarnation of this marvelous female icon. Marvel's make waves with these rehabilitated heroes, so why not so in toy form? Moonstone especially has varied in her portrayal, to maybe someday finally making a hero namesake for herself that'll stick. Because even the bad girls, can have good streaks. Alexbel: Quote:

post: character
#3: Ultron
#14 Taskmaster
#17 War Machine
#19 Black Widow (I'm guessing we see this and WM before IM2 movie)
#21 Emma Frost (any variety for me)
#36 Silver Samurai
#38 Spider-Woman (J.Drew version assuming we are getting Arachne in Secret Wars)
#44 Dazzler
#62 Cardiac
#77 Squirrel Girl (only if she comes with a proper bushy tail)
#99 Psylocke
#117 Jubilee
#119 Magik (horns and tail or in full armor)
#130 Madelyne Pryor (Goblin Queen)
#132 Power Pack (in a five pack!)
#151 Black Cat (any version)
#162 Wolfsbane
#163 The Beetle
I'm routing for a Brood figure to build an army with so Ms Marvel and the X-Men can tear them up: Prem1x: Rachel Summers (Grey) (in full red tights w/spikes and face marks) Love her from the Excalibur era. trebleshot: Yeah, Julia Carpenter will be in the Secret Wars 2-pack, not Ms. Drew. Johnnyakiba: It's rumored that Black Spidey and Magneto in a 2-pack.
I just hope that it's a regular coloured version, NOT CRAZY COMIC COLORS, I.E. Secret Wars Captain America.
This is G.I. Joe Wave 1 Comic Packs ALL OVER AGAIN! ZeoVGM: Quote:

We need a Captain Britain. Prem1x: Killer Shrike would be a good lower tier villian to throw in. scarecrow: Quote:

If they made him, it would be a really easy mod for Whiplash. nitewing73: I'm a big fan of the New Warriors, which is why I'll be picking up that Spidey and his amazing friends set with Spidey, Iceman and Firestar.
For me my most wanted Fury Files figures are: NOVA, Justice, Night Thrasher, Speedball and Namorita.
I'm thinking realistically they could release Nova (probably in his new costume with a variant of his original) and Justice since he's in Avengers initiative. Greenskar: Moved to "look what I just got thread" scarecrow: Quote:

I didn't ask him where he got them or how, I was just excited to see them and bought them on the spot. Another guy came up after seeing me buy them and apparently I bought the only ones he had. From what I hear, I don't think these are at retail yet. Johnnyakiba: How about the Taskmaster? The ability to learn any move quickly?
Currently he is training Pennance for Norman Osborn but previously he was training the new warriors that were coming into the Stamford base.
He also took down both Stature and a giant Antman with just a pass of his sheild like a psycho Captain America, in an Initiative comic. scarecrow: Thanks Greenskar. That's very cool.
Taskmaster would be an excellent choice. He's crossed literally every major character and hordes of cool minor characters like Moon Knight, Agent X, and of course, Deadpool.
I'd love an Udon style Taskmaster. I have a very special place in my heart for Gail Simone and her Agent X storyline. trebleshot: I've always loved Taskmaster, ever since he became a regular in Deadpool, and I was lucky enough to pick up the Marvel Legends version a few years ago. As I've said before, I think he would be perfect for Marvel Universe as well. Johnnyakiba: Quote:

Fingers crossed that they're able to work him into the Deadpool movie once Ryan Reynolds gets done with Green Lantern. Quote: |

Just say no, kids! scarecrow: Tasky in Deadpool would be awesome. That would be a really good Avengers villain too actually... Having him be in Avengers and then in maybe a sequel to Deadpool would be fantastic.
I just got GI Joe Season 1 yesterday and I have yet to watch their PSA's... I'm stoked!
As for the Udon style, I just got a great idea for a mod.. I realized Resolute Snake-Eyes' body is almost 100% perfect for it! The head will be the chore, but A basic skull like the Udon style shouldn't be too hard to sculpt with some putty. trebleshot: Sounds like a great idea! Be sure to take WIP pics of it and post them in the customs forum! MinnesotaIceman: I would have to say "Cloak and Dagger," but since we can only choose one person, I'll go with the Falcon. trebleshot: You could always do Cloak for one post and Dagger for the next one. Although I think someone already mentioned them earlier. Of course, that's no reason not to mention it again.
Btw, if I failed to mention it earlier, welcome to the Toyark! MinnesotaIceman: Quote:

Originally Posted by MinnesotaIceman Oh, we're allowed to do more than one post? Sweet! | Yep. The only real constraint in this thread is that it's one character per post, with a small write-up on why he/she would be a good choice for Marvel Universe.
Some guys have done whole teams, one member at a time. It's a fun read if you've got time to go through the whole thread. Some great choices in there. Quote:
Thanks! | No prob. BeachHeadcurses: DC has Gorilla Grodd. The indie line had the BAF Monkey guy. Marvel is way behind on their monkey figures....and everyone loves a good monkey figure.
When the lovable loser, The Gibbon, stumbled into a parallel universe populated by monkeys, he opened up a wealth of monkey action figure possibilities. Ladies and gentlemen, for your consideration....Marvel Apes. Snowflakian: Quote:

With Venom on his way, and black spidey out now, even scorpovenom out, all that's missing from the carnage that are the symbiotes, is anti-venom.
A great addition to any line for zombie symbiote army building, or just perfecting your Eddie Brock collection. He's a winner alongside Nova Prime, Dark Hawk, and X-Force X-23 as needing a figure now! scarecrow: I love Anti-Venom. He's a really cool idea based on what could've been a really overdone character. trebleshot: ^ Links are broken. Nice choices though.
Also, remember it's one character per post. Alexbel: I want a Mr.Sinister 3 3/4 mjmarker: Werewolf By Night why cause he is a F'n werewolf and the line needs some supernatural marvel u characters nitewing73: For me NOVA is the only one I would really like to be made.
I'm glad they finally got the Nemesis figures released. And I was able to snag a ML Nova. Plus they just did a Nova minimate and a Superhero Squad Nova is on the way. So I'm pretty happy so far.
Haven't gotten to heavy into the MU figures as I only have a handful but if they start making more of the new warriors and avengers initiative members I'm in. I would love to see a Loki figure. Not only is a great villain in his own right, but he's the whole reason we have the Avengers in the first place. MinnesotaIceman:
Given that Henry Pym has always been a major character in the Avengers, hopefully they will make a figure of him as Yellowjacket, or if not Yellowjacket, then Ant-Man (with one of his ants). MinnesotaIceman:
And of course, another founding Avenger, the Wasp! Then, we would have the whole original line-up of the Avengers (given that Thor is arriving next year). Johnnyakiba: [quote=ballsdeep212;26385]tha best looking spider girl in my op.[quote]

Also Hel could double as Death: fangirl of Deadpool and unrequited love interest for Thanos. MinnesotaIceman: Given that we have two Punisher figures, how about someone for him to square off against? Okay, I don't care if Hasbro cancels the MU line tomorrow, charges $15 a figure, does sixty figure of Iron Man and Wolverine in 2011 or whatever, so long as at some point in the next 6 months I can log into the Hasbro Direct site and order a complete set of Series 1 Fury Files action figure stands.
I want Series 1 action figure stands to match next year's series 2 stands, I'm willing to pay a large amount of money to get them, and if I don't get them it's going to break my pathetic little heart. Johnnyakiba: Quote:

No pic because this issue was just released this past Wednesday. But it's a the skinny version of caliban in darker colors, and neon orange circuitry paths.
Would do well to balance out the modern X-Force team with starting to build what could be the blackest Night of the X-verse alongside Eli Bard and Whither. SpencimusPrime: Modular Armor Iron Man

I love the Modular Armor. It's one of the best looking suits in my opinion and it's a top want of mine. My number one Iron Man suit I want is the Silver Centurion version, but since they repainted the Extremis, my chances of getting a real SC anytime soon is pretty low. Snowflakian: Quote:

But his season 2 baseline armor, and season 2 finale armor, are epic minor redesigns of the modular design. I'd almost kill to have those two as figures instead. Just giving ya a heads up. | The DD body would just need a new armor peice between the head and shoulders that comes around sorta like the wraith armor does. But of course a different design. That would give them the ability to do Centurion Armor, or even Modular armor easily. Think like Moonknights cape. Or maverick's body armor.
But I still want Ironman 90s TAS Season 2 armors. Could be done in the same way too as that, though I'd prefer a new base mold with just minor variations over time to cover the others like inferno armor, etc. But the head, Lower Arms, and Legs are a must for accuracy's sake! YouTube - Iron Man Opening 2
That armor, and season were by far my favorite Ironman things to date. Oh what I wouldn't give for them to release multi packs of this included with DVD episodes from that season since it still hasn't hit DVD yet in the states.
Think about it, two box sets each with an Amor Wars episode. Part 1 with the base armor in the toon, Beetle, Guardsmen and Stiltman. Then Part 2 with Stingray, War Machine, Long Hair Tony Stark, and Toon Accurate Crimson Dynamo. Or Hands of the Mandarin set, with Mandarin, Toon Base Armor Ironman, BioArmor Ironman, and Force Works Scarlet Witch(short hair).
But mostly I just want that base toon armor of season 2. The big Gloves, big shoulder pads, recessed yellow areas cept on the gloves or legs, and that helmet design. scarecrow: Quote:

Which Iron Man armor is the current one that's out considered? It's looks pretty close to the Extremis armor to me, just not being billed as it since it was the default armor when the figure was released. Tarquinius: Quote:

Different paint and helm...but otherwise, same thing? trebleshot: If the series 1 Iron Man and Silver Centurian redeco are not the Extremis armor, then what would they be called? Normally, I can only tell the armors apart when there are radical design changes ("Debut", "Classic", War Machine, Hulkbuster, Thorbuster, etc). Tarquinius: Quote:

Normally, I can only tell the armors apart when there are radical design changes ("Debut", "Classic", War Machine, Hulkbuster, Thorbuster, etc). | I thought modern (aka wave 1 MU) was maybe a rendition of the IM from the movie.
Extremis maybe the comic rendition?
Thoughts, comments? Snowflakian: They are Extremis. The one coming technicly is also Extremis, but is also the Civil War armor. So yeah modern or extremis works for series 1 wave 1 figure. Series 2 wave 2 IM is just officially called extremis, even though he technicly is Civil War IM. But the designs are borderline the same for those two in the final issues of the extremis arc.
The bigger display one they released awhile back(masterpiece? Masterworks? Icons? I forget the exact name, the slightly bigger ones with display bases and artillery fire), also has extremis on the back, but doesn't reflect any extremis in an ironman comic... Because it was his Extremis armor used in a hulk comic 2 parter. So yes extremis is 'right' and 'wrong' for all of the above.
They wouldn't have to paint a triangle on the DD body either. It would be just as easy to press a soft plastic over armor to make modular or centurion armor then add a new head, but with the IM line coming up what's the point? Just make one for it instead. They already redid the classic armor for it with XMO style legs. So I'd say any Ironman Armor is fair game for 'reuse' in the line. Especially since that MU one specificly has already been released twice(single card and secret wars), getting a variant in the GBP, and then an entire new mold in the IM2 line. scarecrow: Quote:

Wait..
I never thought they would paint over it either, I'm just saying that even if they used the DD body(which is REALLY not that bad) they wouldn't use the exact body... i.e. there would be enough modification to be different.
I doubt they would use that body anyway.. Have they done what the did with SHSD Iron Man on any MU figs, slipping a plastic chest piece over a figure yet? Snowflakian: Quote:

Have they done what the did with SHSD Iron Man on any MU figs, slipping a plastic chest piece over a figure yet? | XMO Maverick, MU MoonKnight, MU Punisher, MU Shield Agents, MU Blade, MU Namor, MU union Jack. XMO DeadPool though he had an original body anyway, and probably others and the entire new 3.75 Spiderman line. They just haven't pulled an entire Wraith cover/SHSD IM just yet. But I wouldn't put it past them to not do eventually with how many molds they reuse anyway. Pretty much every belt, cape, coat, and other addon they use to differentiate them has been soft plastic like that. Like UJ's belt on Bucky Cap, Punisher's belt on Blade. Among more. The only thing is it'd have to be secured down like Moon Knight's cape is. But other than that it'd be pretty simple and cheaper to do for at least the various Ironman armors. If not others. A few Secret Wars packs may as well, since I don't have any except for spider-woman, I can't say. But enchantress in wave 3 looks like it, among some of the later on ones. And no clue on the 2010 waves either with modern Thor and others. scarecrow: Quote:

Maverick made sense with the armor piece, but I usually hate it when they do this, and fortunately they haven't really done it with anyone other than Mav' with chest pieces. Belts and capes don't bother me though. Tarquinius: I've looked through this thread extensively, and I haven't seen this (at least I think so....)
But I think MU needs to come out with Skrull and Kree figures.
This would be a good army builder concept, espicially with the Super Skrull in GB. With the talk of vehicles, there could be other possibilities as well.
ML has already done something like this, but I believe in the MU line there is possibilities for different variants and what not. Also, there was talk earlier in the forums of doing more Heralds of Galactus figures and what not, and I think this would fit in well. Tarquinius: Personally this is a favorite story line for some reason
Out of all the possible figures, I would be extremely disappointed to not see this one happen. World War Hulk
Think about it. A kick ass hulk variant with battle damage armor, weapons and other accessories. I believe the Hulk figure was done very well in the MU line. The green was amazing, grey was a bit unneeded, red was a pleasant surprise, and the green from the SW was interesting.
This variant would allow for a larger figure to come with accessories, and more intense detail. Tarquinius: Hopefully not already mentioned.... Dum Dum Dugan
As we've seen with Hasbro, they've put together lineage packs (progression from one thing to another). And I think "Shield Directors/Famous Shield Operatives" would be a great one.
We got Nick Fury (hopefully you did), we are getting Black Widow, I'd hope we'd get Maria Hill, so I think we need Dugan. Either alone or in a pack of his famous coherts. deceptifocus: ill take anything else like gigantic battles that i can use for marvel legends ha IcantBseriouS: Quote:

But I still want Ironman 90s TAS Season 2 armors. Could be done in the same way too as that, though I'd prefer a new base mold with just minor variations over time to cover the others like inferno armor, etc. But the head, Lower Arms, and Legs are a must for accuracy's sake!
I'm not disliking Ironman or that DD body at all. I like both and would get probably anything that was made in the MU line. I thought that the Extremis fig I posted was the armor he used in the Extremis arc and Civil war. And the Armor that is in wave 1 is the modern - Dark Reign/Secret Invasion. Its also the same armor that the Iron Patriot uses whch I really want a Patriot variant!!! Either way I'm not a real big Ironman fan anyway so I could be mistaken.
Also they have released a complete 90's Ironman Series on DVD. I got it this summer. Toon Junkie, Inc.*::*New Releases*::*Iron Man Complete Collection
I try to get all the comic cartoons from the 90's. Saturday morns were great when I was kid. I just picked up X-Men vol 1-4 recently as well. Still waiting on Spider-Man TAS. Oh well that's what bittorrent is for. Prem1x: Quote:

If they do WWH, I'd love to see No-name Brood or any Brood soldier for that matter. Greenskar: Quote:

What he meant was that Hulk, being a larger figure, done in his WWH persona would provide a reason to package a large figure with accessories. As of now, neither of the large figures (Thing and all Hulk variants) come with accessories.
I would love to see Planet Hulk and WWH in MU, however, I would most prefer a brand new mold with better lower body articulation if they do. And yes, accompanying Warbound would be an added plus Snowflakian: Quote:

Perfect to compliment the various ironmen coming, and could lend parts for Danger, or a Jocasta later. It rounds out the ironman family quite well, and let's girl collectors know, not just Ironman kick but. DarthOnyx: I always thought this guy looked cool. | | |
