Shin Densetsu:
The 25th Anniversary Ninja Turtles figures are out at stores now! These reissues of the vintage figures come with a DVD containing an episode from the old cartoon series! Click here to check them out!
MegaPrime33:
Yeah, totally awesome. How much are these and how many more of them can we expect?!
Da_Last_2_Walk:
Go Ninja..Go Ninja..Go!
Rod:
They were $8.99 and they are virtually identical to the original release (with a solid head). Looking at the back of the packaging it looks like this wave will only be the more popular characters
benzo:
I so want these!
Flint:
I like the fact that they put the mini Krang with Shredder in there although I wish they released the figure sized Krangs Body version that it came with. I am kinda baffled that Slash made the cut though.

It's also funny how Playmates cut corners using generic packages with Stickers on the bubbles to identify them.
topnotch97:
i saw them today. wasn't expecting them either.
Optimus Scourge:
Nice! I still have mine, and all complete too, but this is great for those of us who want to relive that time.

Very cool indeed!

I do agree on the packaging, though, could have been a bit nicer, and not half fast
superquad7:
I saw these at Target as well the other day. I was pleasantly surprised!
Enigma2K2:
i would get these for nostalgia's sake... but ever since the 2007 figures... hell even the movie figures with the added articulation, I just can't go back...
Flint:
I would consider getting Donatello, Casey, April and/or a Leonardo. But I would love a Mutegeon Man, Yusaki Yojimbo and Ray Filet!
general hawk59:
hey if anyone has an extra set pm me im looking to buy these..
ArmosGeminiox:
These just came out at my local Target. I felt compelled to buy them, but I'll wait for a sale or something.
MegaPrime33:
Yeah that van is awesome. I really hope it hits stores and isnt just for online.
Ktulu:
Cool little nostalgic kick in the face. I like that with the DVD stickers and such they're unique from the actual originals, but still relatively close enough in style at the same time.

I kept mine (as well as some of my original TMNT) from when I first got them as a kid. I was totally into this line in 5th grade, and I had a ton of the original figures. Seeing these toys in Target really took me back to the fun I had seeing these in retail as a kid
general hawk59:
I picked up 5 of each today at target of all 4 turtles.

Hey bro, glad you were able to find them!

I'm not sure if I will be picking this up. These cost double the price they were a couple of years back. Also, I want the NECA turtles more, as I read the scans of the original book at the official TMNT site when I was in college, and was blown away by how different it was. I LOVED IT! So the NECA figures appeal to me more.

Nonetheless, seeing these reissues is a nostalgic kick in the face. In a good way. I am all about full articulation, but in rare cases, can overlook it so long as each figure in the line is consistent, plus these are nostalgic to me. It helps that I have no idea where my originals are, and that the last time that I saw them a decade or so ago, their forearms were detached and a pain to reattach(mere pegs, but they were hard to reattach!).

These figures are all consistent in articulation, and I LOVED these as a kid! If we see samurai Leo, the Sting Ray guy, Wingnut, and others, I may bite, I just wish these were cheaper.

Oh and the Party Van? Man I had to give mine up to my cousin when I was 6! See, his dad(my uncle) had bought it for me, but then my cousin started crying, and being that he wanted it more, I gave it to him. So perhaps I will buy the van too. It's been 20 years since I've seen one!

Hell yeah, Rey Fillet rocked!

I hope we also see Mutagen Man

Yusagi Yojimbo

And one of my personal favorites Baxter "The Fly" Stockman

Also it would have been nice to see this version of Krang since it was released after I stopped collecting the turtles
scarecrow:
I want Fugitoid. Period.
Flint:
Fugitoid does rock.
MegaPrime33:
Since the figures are a tad pricey, and I have SO MANY of the original figures ranging from the original turtles to the Sewer Sports All Stars, I will only be buying the figures I never had; April, Foot Soldiers, Krang. I definitely want to get the van, as I never had the vehicles. Hopefully it will be coming to retail.
Zherbus:
I saw these out and thought it was cool that they are the original molds. I still have everything for TMNT from when I was a kid. Once they re-release Krangs android body, I might consider taking a dip.
Shin Densetsu:
general hawk59, the Blimp was beast man! I got that for xmas back in '90, but the baloon part deflated. That was my fav vehicle though! I may pick up the van...

Man seeing all these toys brings back memories. I forgot what the Fugitoid looked like. Any of you excited for the comic versions coming out from Playmates Toys? I prefer the NECA versions, with more articulation. The Playmates versions seem to use the 2007 movie body, which isn't as articulated.

Also I saw some exosuits for the minifigures, they look like retooled Exosquad suits. Exosquad RULED!
scarecrow:
As a kid I probably had more Ninja Turtles in my collection than any other toy line I bought. I was looking at an archive for the figures and was surprised at how many I got.

I pretty much got everything I wanted, but my dog ate most of them, so if Fugitoid comes out I'll start collecting, but then and only then. I also want Muckman and the freaky purple bug guy. Not the fly but the one from the cartoon who was an exterminator.

P.S. here's a pic of Fugitoid, Shin:
pud333:
No, no, no, no, no! Dammit, why did I have to see this thread? My budget is already stretched to the max. This is why I have to stop coming online. It's a sickness. I need government compensation.

Oh man, now I remember! He was a cool figure!
MegaPrime33:
Finally made it out to a Target over the weekend, and the only toy line was picked through was TMNT reissues. There appeared to be 4 pegs for them, and only 2 turtles left. This is a great sign that the toyline is doing well and that we will probably (hopefully) see more waves of them soon.

I've seen one store already restock. But I'm also noticing that 95% of the stores have full pegs now. There is a small chance this could end up like Indy Movie toys (Those things were selling out all over the place for the first week or so)

I'm resisting the urge to recollect these, but it keeps getting harder and harder with me walking into the stores seeing the packaging and getting taken back so many years....that and the lack of product from either Transformers or GI Joe
trebleshot:
When I first saw these on the pegs at a nearby TRU, it was a nice trip down memory lane. But if I was to ever buy TMNT toys again, they would have to be based off the original comic like the NECA versions.
MegaPrime33:
Saw more of these this past weekend, though still only seeing the turtles. Can't wait until other figures start cropping up.
pituvision:
I just got Rocksteady & Bebop to day At Target!!! And they Rock!!! DOnt have pics only a vid! But they Rock!!! The nostalgic felling is totally worth it!!!
MegaPrime33:
I saw them at TRU today; all 4 turtles and April. I need April but didn't have the cash at the time. But, at least she's out there!
King Sagat:
Does anybody know if they are going to make any more of the 25th turtle figures anymore. I missed out on them. I went to Toys R' Us and all they had was Splinter, Rocksteady, and Bebop. I picked them up as well as the Party Wagon.
Saint Phe:
I don't think so. I haven't seen any in stores in over 6 months. There should be some reasonable prices on Ebay, though.
ludovicotek:
^ Pretty much agree with Saint Phe. You might find a few of the turtles themselves around, if you look enough.
King Sagat:
Did they ever release the Foot soilders and Shredder. I looked at Target and Wal-Mart and they don't have nothing. The two Toys R' Us's we have in San Antonio just had Splinter, Rocksteady, and Bebop and I picked them up. I asked a worker if they had anymore and he took a look in the back and they didn't have anymore except for the same ones I picked up. I think I am going to have to hit Ebay.

Playmates is releasing the comic versions next year but they aren't through mass retail.

I think I've seen the Foot Soldier but never seen Shredder at retail.
King Sagat:
Do you still have them in your area.
Shin Densetsu:

Haven't seen the Foot Soldier in months
MegaPrime33:
I've seen them all, but shredder and the foot soldier, and the turtle van. It's pretty sad actually.
SpencimusPrime:
neat.
