MattyCollector posted this today and its huge. A while back, the WWE toy license changed hands and the details of the product launch has been minimal. Now we have a clear understanding of whats going to be out on the shelves come January 1st, 2010. Here is the press release:

If you're a WWE® fan, I've got huge news: Mattel is going to launch a whole line of World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE®) products!
Highly-detailed figures, belts, rings, and more will be in stores January 1, 2010! They’ll be insanely accurate in scale, detail, and WWE authenticity. The Superstar figures have tattoos that show even when they’re fully articulated, and the first 1,000 of each WWE basic figure for 2010 will come with one of 1,000 consecutively numbered die-cast commemorative WWE Championship Belts.

Also look for these three segments…

Elite Collection

My design friends at Mattel talked to a lot of collectors to find out what they want, and the Elite Collection is the result. Watch for fan-favorite Superstars and Divas in 2010 that’ll come with a personalized stand and authentic ring attire.

Entrance Greats™

Everyone loves ring entrances! We’ve captured all the excitement with figures packed out in their entrance outfits from epic WrestleMania® battles and a base that plays their music!

FlexForce™ Action Figures

We know kids dig WWE, too, so there’s a ton of toys just for them. The figures can do authentic moves just like a Superstar, and kids can stage matches in the Breakdown Brawl Ring. There’ll be accessories, too, like tables, ladders, and chairs.

This tells us nothing...

I hope Matty will do some exclusive WWE figures for us collectors on their website like their doing for HE-MAN and Ghostbusters!!!

and dangit, fix the Undertakers face - he looks like a friggin cartoon wannabe!
sparkhunter:
I want to know what scale they will be in.

I really like the 3 3/4 scale of the build and brawl figures.

I think they are 7".
trebleshot:
I wouldn't complain if they did a Movie Masters Undertaker in his original outfit with his urn, casket and a shovel.

And I would love, love, love a Superstars sub-line based on the old cartoon back when they were heroes/villains. You know, before the whole EVERYBODY IS AN ANTI-HERO trend that we currently suffer from now. It's become so boring and it's the main reason I haven't watched more than one or two shows in the last year.
Shin Densetsu:
Mattel's sculpting and importantly, scale, are big selling points for this line. I've always intended to buy WWE figures but only bought Build and Brawl Undertaker. Now? I'm pretty much onboard with the Mattel Elite figures. Sculpt, scale, articulation, those figures got them all, I just hope they aren't a pain to find like DCUC.

Very surprised by how well the sculpts turned out. Great job Mattel.
Optimus Scourge:
I look forward to seeing who they put out.
Cavbeast:
Wow Im impressed I may actually pick these up, and I haven't bought wrestling figs since 2000? Crap, there goes my wallet.
ericdbright:
WOW! These look really good! I just hope they make enough of these to go around. My stores can't keep the Jakks figures in stock and there's a whole aisle of them at my TRU.
manic mailman:
im really amped up for these but cm punks face looks like its a reused jakks sculpt and edges face just kind of looks wrong. undertakers acually looks good and accurate to me. cant wait for jericho and hbk
DrewBlank:
The cloth t-shirts make me think, "These guys aren't wearing pants." I hope they stop trying to reuse every mold a hundred times over and actually sculpt some clothes on some of the wrestlers,
