Hi,
Super new here, been lurking for quite some time. I really didn't know where to post this and I've used the search tool but couldn't find a topic about this. This is in regards to a website called Nin-Nin-Game.com. I was trying to pre order the Age of Ultron SH Figuarts but all the places I went to were either sold out or had a high price. The usual place I order from (amiami.com) was sold out by the time I heard about the preorders. I did a little digging and found Nin-Nin-Game and low and behold they still had preorders available. I quickly added to cart and processed the preorder. After I processing the order, I did a little research and found mixed reviews about the site. Some people claiming that their order was placed and a few days later either got a refund because the item was sold out or got an email asking to wait until they found the same item. Some were saying everything was good with their multiple orders. Most, if not all, of these reviews was regarding video games/old video games. Now I come to you guys, the subject matter experts, has anyone had experience with this website, if so how was it and should I pull my preorder? Thanks a mill! |

All right, seems like nobody has purchased anything from nin-nin-game.com. Like I said, I was going to give an update regarding my transaction from nin-nin-game.com once I received my order.
I'll start things off with communication: it's a bit of a mixed bag. There are three different time zones that come into play: I'm in Toronto, their warehouse/items are/comes from Japan, and I believe they're owned and operated by a company based in France. There was an instance where I got a reply within two hours (I placed an order the day before, slept, messaged to cancel the next morning, and got a reply and cancellation within two hours). I've had an instance where I had a question regarding monetary difference where I did not get a reply until two or three days after (this was during the weekday). And one other instance where I asked when I should expect the items to be delivered and got a response within 24 hours. So, again, to me it's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to communication, but seeing as there's three time zones to consider its leaning more towards the positive. What's great about their system when it comes to contacting them (that I haven't seen on stores I've purchased items before) is that they connect your questions and reply to the order. So for example: I placed two orders, one which I kept and one which I cancelled. I can go to "My Account", "Order History and Details", click for details on either order, ask a question regarding the item, and the questions and responses will be visible from there. You also get an email copy of the response. I guess I'll get into ordering and payment next. When it comes to placing an order for multiple items with different release dates, expect the items to be shipped together when the last item is released. For instance, I placed an order for SHF Captain America, Iron Man Mark 45, and Thor at the same time; Cap was released in July, Iron Man in August, and Thor in September. They shipped my order in one box when Thor was released in late September. I guess this is good if you're not in a hurry and want to save on shipping costs. If you're the type that want the items as they're released, you may have to place your orders individually. Either that or you can probably shoot them a message afterwards and maybe request them to be shipped separately...maybe. In terms of payments, they have options for PayPal and direct credit card payments. But what I want to get into is how they take the payments. When I placed the order for the three SHF Avengers, I saw that they deducted the payment right away. A few days later, I was credited back for the payment, and nothing happened until three months after. My order was placed in May, the payment was taken in July, and items were shipped in late September. I asked them regarding the payment being automatically deducted, but without any sort of notification on their behalf; I was advised that after three months the bank automatically makes the payment. Haven't encountered payment methods like that with any of my preorders from other stores, I was a bit sketched out regarding that, but whatever. When I asked them as to when my items were going to be shipped, I was told that due to a holiday in Japan (Silver Week I believe) their supplier had delays shipping the items. The following day I received an email notification with tracking information and was advised that they marked the box as "soft goods" and "gift" just to help lower import taxes (luckily we don't get taxed for importing action figures here in Canada). I received the package a little over a week after I received the shipping notification (I chose Registered SAL as shipping method). The figures were wrapped in a sheet of bubble wrap in a box that's just right. The boxes were in great condition, but I don't keep the boxes for any of my figures. Overall, my first experience with them was quite positive, I would have preferred if they took the payment when the items shipped, but other than that I'm happy. Definitely going to buy from them again, most likely as a back up store, after Amazon.ca and amiami.com. Oh and I noticed they take preorders for online exclusives and convention exclusives. For example, they took preorders for SHF War Machine Mark 2, SHF Advance Color Vegeta, and Trunks (which I know we'll get via Bluefin) for online exclusives. SHF Kamen Rider Proto-Drive, and Tamashii Effects Dark Flames for con exclusives. So if you guys are interested in Japanese Online and Con exclusives, they'll most likely be carrying them. Hopefully this helps those interested in buying from nin-nin-game.com but are on the fence about it. PS: Sorry for the wall of text. |
