Which con should I go to?
While we're at it, which one are you going to? Keep in mind I'll be bringing my GF, who doesn't still play with toys, so which do you think will be more entertaining for her as well? |

NJCC is very small and is really just a toy store and not a convention.
NYCC is a large convention and worth of the name convention with panels, guest stars and toy companies present.

I actually might be hitting up the NYCC this year. I've been getting nailed with bachelor parties in AC recently (another this weekend), so depending on how broke I am come the con will determine whether I'm going.

I'll be at NYCC this year. I like NYCC a lot, so I'd go with that.

Keep me posted, we can meet each other there if you decide to go. The NJCC is more of a standard toy show at a hotel conference room. The NYCC is at the Jacob Javits and is one of the biggest toy shows around. Check out the website when you can for more info. The only drawbacks are large crowds, long lines for exclusives and expensive tickets.

Definitely NYCC if you can just choose one. But there will be plenty of people on these boards to hang out with at NJCC. I'll be going to both since I'm going to be out on the east coast for NYCC, might as well come out four days early.

Have not been to neither, or any CC event personally, it is on my bucklist of things to do before I die though. I would say just from pure feedback and views online, NYCC is the clear winner. NJCC is fine if you have the day off and want to check it out, but it's nothing that great, like a high priced fleamarket full of toys and comics and the odd celeb doing autographs or panel work. NYCC is 2nd biggest to SDCC which has movie trailer 1st time showings, live release info on games, comics, toys, q and a with creators, artists, celbs, cosplay galore. Demos and tons of limited edition goodies, door prizes, etc... probably cost you more, but I'd say go on the site look into cost for 1 day vs all 3, and hotel/room accomidations, sometimes they even do a package deal with accomidations. there's also vip treatment if you wanna be a high roller.
