I'm not sure how long they've been out, but I noticed the new Prometheus figures at the TRU in Cary today. Star Wars figures are buy 1 get 1 free apparently.

Saw the new TRU exclusive Star Wars Speeder Bike with Scout Trooper at TRU in Cary. Glad we have yet another version of that. But it does come with a cool display stand.

Whoohoo! You guys probably already know this but the new Toys R Us at Triangle Town Center is open! The official opening date is November 4 but they are open now and they had tooons of stuff tonight. I picked up a complete set of the "Asia exclusive" Transformers Generations figures (minus the Voyager class figures which they said weren't hitting yet) and some pretty good Star Wars figures (vintage Death Squad Commander, Expanded Universe and vintage-style Clone Wars). They also had several pegs of decent 30th Anniversary G.I. Joes (Airtight, Lifeline, SciFi and a horde of Zombie-Vipers, amongst others). They also had tons of Marvel stuff and everything else. My only real tip is to also check the very back wall behind the musical instruments. For some reason they have a lot of the adult collectibles back there instead of on the main action figure aisles (like Prometheus, Mego-style monsters, video game-based figures like Mortal Kombat, etc.)
AND! They had two of the Masterpiece Optimus Prime's! The new Ollie's is also open on Capital Blvd! They had a ton of stuff too, but really just more of what the Cary Ollie's has had all this time. (But they did have a ton of the Young Justice Superboy clone chamber box set which I haven't seen yet.) |

I was at the TRU in Cary today and it looks like they restocked overnight. They had the Voyager class "Asia exclusive" Transformers out (Hot Spot, Megatron and Powerdive) and a lot more Star Wars figures out for the buy-one-get-one-free promotion. They also had a big Lego event going on with a free Monster Fighters giveaway pack.

As far as I know the Greensboro show is the third weekend in November (the 17th and 18th). Not sure what's going on next weekend unless maybe you're talking about the Hickory show. That's October 27.

I think the Greensboro toy show was moved to this weekend as Durham's NC Comicon is on Nov. 17-18. Wish I could make it to the toy show this weekend!
Thanks for all of the info! I saw some Masterpiece Optimus Primes in Concord Mills TRU this weekend, and some other Generations figures there and at Greensboro TRU. G'boro also had the Legion Motorbreath (Nemesis Prime) & Thundercracker Generations figures. |

Went up to TRU in Cary and found a Dark Knight Rises Ra’s Al Ghul figure on the pegs. I broke down and got the John Blake fig off EBay and was thinking about get this one too. Glad I kept putting it off, checked the prices and got this for about a 1/3 of what it’s going for on EBay.

Went by the new TRU at Triangle Town Center. WOW, it was the Grand Opening, crowded like Christmas. Didn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Did stop by the Walmart at Brier Creek and picked up the diecast Hornet by JADA from Halo.

Walmart at Brier Creek has one Dreadwing Voyager. Whew! $22 for a Voyager class is still a bit steep.
Anyone go to the Greensboro toy show last weekend? Any finds? |
