Found a pretty healthy supply of the new Star Wars vintage-style 3-packs at the Super Target behind Triangle Town Center in Raleigh tonight (ESB Imperial Set, ESB Imperial Forces and ANH Android Set). They also had a healthy supply of the Bom Vimdin wave as well, including multiple Rebel Fleet Troopers for anybody looking to troop build.

Saw a whole bunch of new stuff at the Target at North Hills last night. They had one complete set of the Star Wars commemorative Blu-ray figure packs (Episodes I-VI); the huge Green Lantern Ring Blast jet that transforms into a tank and stuff; the new Batman Legends figures; the Autobot Ark from the Transformers Cyberverse line; a fair number of the new 12" G.I. Joes; and a 3 3/4-inch Comic Series Captain America figure I don't think I've seen before.

Saw the new Ultimate Optimus Prime at the Target and also at the Walmart behind Triangle Town Center in Raleigh this week. What I thought was kind of interesting was that Walmart already had it on clearance. I think it was about $15 less than Target. That Walmart also had a pretty decent supply of G.I. Joe POC figures in a fresh new location on the aisle. Nice to see that Walmart doesn't hate G.I. Joe as much anymore. They also had the Transformers 3 weapons platform Cyberverse sets.

The new wave of Star Wars Saga figures are out at the Super Target behind Triangle Town Center and at the Super Target at Beaver Creek (Expanded Universe Spacetrooper, Death Star Trooper, Mace Windu, ROTJ Boba Fett, R2-D2, etc.).
The TRU in Cary had the new 4-inch Thundercats stuff yesterday although it looked like it had been picked over pretty good already. One odd thing I saw at TRU was the old Rebel maintenance guy battle pack re-packaged in the newer Clone Wars style bubble boxes. It was just the guy with the transport vehicle this time...no droid and no Rebel pilot. But they had a couple of the older battle packs on special display for $12.99 again...the birth of Darth Vader and Tatooine showdown. TRU also had the new wave of Predator figures (Elder Predator and the Predator hound from Predators). |

The Walmart in Apex has the DC 5-figure "Crime Syndicate" exclusive and they also have Batman Legacy Series 2 singles including Classic Batgirl, Batman and Catman. The Walmart in Fuquay also is carrying the "Crime Syndicate 5-pack.

Just found the VAMP Mark II and Black Dragon VTOL at the Walmart in Apex. They had one of each. I bought the VAMP and left the VTOL. They didn't have any of the new single-packed Joes but they did have a recent revision case of POC.
They also had a healthy assortment of Thundercats, especially all of the 4-inch stuff, four each of the Wheeljack wave from the Transformers Generations line (Wheeljack, Thundercracker and Warpath), a bunch of vintage-style Star Wars figures including some decent Ep. II stuff that you don't see every day, and they also had some cool Marvel multi-packs, like the Fantastic Four and X-Force. |

They also have a Black Dragon VTOL at the Walmart on New Hope Church Rd. No single-packed figures there either. Just more POC.

Saw the Target-exclusive Human Alliance Leadfoot at the North Hills Target last night. At $29.99 though I'll wait for the deluxe release personally. They had at least two, maybe three on the shelf.

The TRU in Cary had the TRU-exclusive Green Lantern Ultimate Construct Collection, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Sith & Imperial Troopers) 5-pack, Star Wars: Republic Commando (Delta Squad) 5-pack, about four new Clone Wars Battle Packs and a healthy supply of vintage-style figures, including five of the vintage-style Y-Wings.

Checked out the Ollies in Cary yesterday. They have some of the WM exclusive Rise of Cobra 2 Packs, a few of the third wave of Alpha Vehicles and the midsize hovercraft transformer in the yellow box. I picked up the Grapple. Never realized that Ollies was there until a couple of days ago.
Grabbed a Boba Fett helmet and 3 25th Joes at the TJ Maxx. I was told they will be leaving that store on Oct. 2nd for a newer location close by. They will not receive any more shipments until moving into the new store.

The Kmart in Cary is having one of those everything must go store closing sales. It didn't look like they had too much that was bleeding edge but all toys were at least 20 percent off. They had a ton of Star Wars (including several vintage-style B-wings) and a ton of Transformers. Just a handful of everyday POC Joes though.

I saw the single-pack 30th anniversary G.I. Joe figures tonight at the Walmart at Brier Creek...in the hands of another collector. He had one complete set minus Stalker. Those are the only ones I've seen so far in the area and I was two minutes too late! They also had two VAMPs and two VTOLs on the shelf.

Just saw a pretty healthy supply of 30th anniversary Joes at the TRU in Cary. I picked up a Stalker and a Hazard Viper but they had multiples of everything. They also had quite a few Skystrikers and a big shipment of Star Wars in several locations (getting ready for the BD release I guess.) They also had the new Freddy Krueger figures and a big (maybe 12-inch?) Jason.
I've also been seeing a bunch of the older 25th Joes popping up at the discount stores. The TJ Maxx at Beaver Crossing in Apex for example had a bunch of Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, Destro, and Snake Eyes for 3.99 today. |

I don't know if anyone's into Playmobil or not, but the Tuesday Morning on Spring Forest Rd in Raleigh had a ton of it today 50% off the retail price. It made an impression on me because I know that stuff can be expensive. And they were cool sets too...dragons, swamp stuff, etc.

Over in the White Oak area yesterday. Nothing at TJ Maxx, Ross or Target. The Captain America endcap is gone and no signs of the comic packs.

Found several of the Hammer Smash Thor's this weekend at the Walmart at Triangle Town Center in Raleigh (the new one with the helmet) but no sign of Destroyer, Hogun or Volstagg pictured on the back. I know there was a siting a while back at TRU but I'm still trying to hunt down a set for myself.
