Well that settles it, it seems that the Captain America (Legends) wave will be like the Iron Man Legends (iron Monger) wave from this year, only it'll have 2 variants, Im pretty sure the other 3 figures that'll be released in the Fall are the Movie Based Cap, Winter Soldier and Black Widow we saw at SDCC.
The Hydra soldier looks cool, he seems to be using every single part from Hawkeye, with a new head sculpt and a strap across his shoulder harness. (If I remember correctly Zemo was pretty much the USAgent, with a zemo head a new belt with skirt and a very similar harness to the one hawkeye came with, only this one had a gun holster) As for Red Skull he's pretty much the Punisher/Nick Fury mold with a new Headsculpt (Is it just me or is the red skull looking a bit ugly? the upper part of his head looks ok but his mouth and chin look a little off) As for the Mandroid he seems to be sharing Iron Monger's Limbs, with some extras that make a whole lotta difference, Its a shame It'll be hard to army build these, I can see buying a bunch of Hydra and Aim soldriers but youll have to get a repeated captain america's for the head and repeated figures from the fall line for the rest of the pieces. Still not a bad set of figures. |

Awesome showing! I especially like that, besides the eyes, that movie Spidey could also make for a good basic Spider-Man, and with Carnage and Black Cat on tap as well, it's looking like My MS Rhino and Venom, and my ML Green Goblin are gonna have some company.

I'm pleasantly surprised by these. Black Cat looks great, and even though I don't read Superior Spider-Man I've liked that costume since it was first revealed. Elektro looks kind of generic and I don't know much about Beetle, but I'm thinkin' I may want to complete that Ultimate Goblin - those fire effects really sold me on him.
It's pretty lame that the Captain America BAF re-uses some parts, even if they did put them to good use. Still, I would have preferred Iron Cross over a Mandroid - especially if they used the CA: Super Soldier design. Marvel Now Cap looks great, and that Hydra Agent will make for a very easy Bob custom. I already planned on getting Winter Soldier and Black Widow, possibly Red Skull... I just don't know if I'll complete Mandroid or not. Last edited by Poison Shadow; 10-09-2013 at 07:42 PM.. |

I'm actually really pumped for the Spidey Marvel Legends line. FINALLY Black Cat (One of my fave characters in Spidey's rogue's gallery, and my favorite female comic book character period...) gets her due. That Carnage is also really well done, and it's about time we got Ultimate Green Goblin. I'm surprised actually that there's no Venom in the line, I could have sworn I saw a ML version of Flash Thompson coming at the Hasbro presentation for SDCC. Maybe he's still coming, although I'd love to have an ML Anti-Venom/Toxin instead.
With that said, who wants to bet that not only will Black Cat be a variant figure of some sort for the line, but like Blade and Rogue...will never see the light of day. And let's not forget the fact that Hasbro's distribution of ML figs has been so piss poor. The Iron Man 3 line got my hopes up when I saw that how readily available the first wave was, only to send my hopes crashing down to Earth hard when the second wave was so hard to find. I can't find the regular lines anywhere either, outside of specialty shops or ebay.... I really hate Hasbro sometimes. |

Hasbro Amazing Spiderman 2 Toys Press Release And Images - The Toyark - News
That Superior Spiderman has an excellent head sculpt and the whole time I was looking at the new movie Spiderman figure I was CONVINCED it was a new comic/616 Spidey! Got to hand it to Sony/Marvel/Hasbro on that one, I'm not up to date on the Amazing Spiderman 2 but that costume is impressive. That figure can easily be a modernized or Marvel NOW Spidey imo.

I can't find the regular lines anywhere either, outside of specialty shops or ebay.... I really hate Hasbro sometimes. Agent venom is supposed to come out in the last Marvel Legends Wave of 2013 (Jubilee Baf Wave), so he should be hitting stores soon (I bet he'll be hard to find though) As for the figures shown here, They posted an update saying Black Cat, Carnage and Beetle will be swap figures, I dont know if this means theyll be variants or you can choose either one figure (for example Electro) or his swap (Beetle *I dont know who is going to be who's swap but that's just an example), I read that hasbro said that as of 2014 they would pack all the figures in the case (including swaps) if this is right then you wont have to wait to see if the figures ever get released like previous variants that havent seen the light of day yet. Hopefully this will be the case cause I really want that Black Cat. If anyone is at NYCC or can talk to someone from hasbro, it would help a lot to know how these figures will be packed and if the spiderman wave will be like the captain america one that will have 2 waves to complete the baf or will it be just one. (PLEASE ASK ABOUT BLACK CAT I REALLY NEED THAT FIGURE) |

Black Cat looks great others figures look alright, but probably won't collect them all to make Green Goblin, in which might be cool as a Doomsday custom.

That Mandroid looks awesome...straight out of the Avengers Initiative mobile/tablet game. Nice repurposing of the Iron Monger mold.
Did I hear correctly that Baron Zemo and Red Skull are going to be variants of the AIM Trooper/Hydra Soldier respectively? Because that's going to kinda suck if so, given Hasbro's recent track record with variants. |

I really like what they have shown thus far, and I like how they are doing the BAF for the most part to make it easier to army build the Mandroid. The only part I don't like it that only one figure comes with the head, and he isn't an army building figure like the Hydra and AIM figures.
One thing that worries me is the Star Wars Black style packaging does that also mean Star Wars Black pricing? Oh after seeing the spikes on the shoulders on the Ultimate Green Goblin was anyone else thinking about making a Doomsday? |

Just hope Hasbro does not mess up Black Cat when going into production... they tend to ruin female characters.

Hasbro, "I hope you can see this because I'm doing it as hard as I can."

Red Skull/Hydra Soldier are variants of each other. Both will be labeled "Agents of Hydra" and apparently each come with the BAF part. The same goes for Baron Zemo/A.I.M. Agent (sold as "Agents of A.I.M.").
Personally, I agree. But other seem to like that version. BTW, he's in the USM cartoon, as well. And it's not a Goblin suit or anything - Norman actually mutates into that - kinda like the Lizard. I was thinking more along the lines of Etrigan.

No new pics of the ScarJo Black Widow ? Judging by the info on the back of the packaging, I'm going to have to wait nearly a year to get her. It's probably for the best though, since nearly $120 of my disposable income is going to be tied up buying all 6 of the Spidey Legends figures.
Also, I guess the rumors of an X-Men: DoFP Legends line really were just rumors |

Wow those 4" spider-man 2 figures are horrible. I can't believe Hasbro has advertised them as having great articulation and going as far as stating you could recreate your favorite poses and scenes etc.. The Spider-man 2 line action figures appear to have only 5 points of articulation. It's painfully obvious that they gave up on collectors with the 1:18th scale and are more focused on the 6" line. I'm somewhat okay with it because I never really liked the marvel lineup with their overly used bucks and limited variations(quite the opposite of Toybiz Marvel lines 2003-2008).

Am I The Only One Who Notice That Some Of The Spiderman Toy Figures Are Just Repainted From The Older Amazing Spiderman Toys
And The Worst Part Is That Its Not Very Articulated compared To The Other Spiderman Toys Last edited by Immortalgem; 12-12-2013 at 05:57 AM.. Reason: Adding Words |
