There are some exceptions to my comments like the Bleeding Edge Armor Iron Man, but I just picked up the Jim Lee Cyclops and I couldn't find one that didn't have blue paint slops all over his face. I picked up a classic costume Ms. Marvel the same day and she is perfect and seems pretty consistent with the earlier line. There are some figures that I was really excited about like The Falcon that I will just not be buying unless I can find one with WAY better quality than what seems to be out there now.

the revision case versions were all amazing though. I do still see the occasional bad paint job but it's gotten much better in MU. ..now if we're talking the Cap line...oh boy! |

really? I saw a great one and passed- I have those characters already and need to cut back. I hate extras generally anyway and have a slew of Wolverines and Spidys anyway!
They need a X-Force Deathlok and I'd by them all in a second! |

I've got a Human Torch whose leg keeps comming off, and my AIM guys seem to have the same problem.
Other than that, quality hasn't been that much of an issue for me.

i realized i put captain britain in the parts bin so that means his sword is up for grabs! my taskmaster suffers from loose ankles and combined with the cape a stand is completely useless. best to just have him rest on the cape since it'll support him. also gave him the pistol from the doom 2 pack since it fits in his holster better.
also, didn't really care about tasky till i read that "Taskmaster: Unthinkable" trade. so good.

I bought the Avengers 3-pack a few days ago and Iron Man's neck ball twisted off with the head. That's the first time I've had a MU figure break. Growing trend? You decide.

For now I'm going to toss darkhawk's left wing into the QC area. I think it have been an actual engineering issue though with the choice of the peg/clip they used as opposed to something with more bite to it. Still a badass figure though.

IMO nothing will be harder than trying to find a CA Heroic Age Cap with perfect paint apps. LOL.

careful with the sword tho. as i learned, it's cast in this translucent purple plastic the same as the missile he comes with and the paint ended up flaking off a little so i had to repaint it.

it seems to have stayed the same mostly. its never been "that" great its always stayed on the line of just "ok" when it comes to QC with MU.
i DO wish it was better since checking every figure i see on the pegs when this line is already hard to find in my area is most annoying. not to mention taking chances with online retailers where you never know what you are getting. for example i couldnt find the x-force 3 pack around here so i ordered online and ended up getting a warpath with half of this hair painted. he is completely unpainted in the back. Other than that, sometimes I get the occasional loose pegholes, but nothing major, from what I opened. I have, however, seen a lot of QC issues with the 2 packs. Wolverine and Sabertooth 2 pack has product numbers down Wolvies inner right thigh. Wolverine and Silver Samaurai 2 pack has varying blade lenghts for Wolverine's left arm, some being shorter on the left arm, some with the blades on the left arm bent, looking like Magneto got ahold of him. Then the "lipstick" on the Sentry and Spidey 2 pack. |

Great idea with the Capt. Brit sword with Tasky, Noodle! I might actually pick one up just for his sword, since I don't really care for that version's Robocop head.
Sloppy paint apps make me so weary of ordering MU online. The Deadpool/Taskmaster set, as an example, can have googly-eyes on Deadpool, and Tasky can have gingivitis. |

I picked up the Deadpool/TaskMaster comic pack at a local Wal-Mart today and Task Master's joints are incredibly loose. It's difficult to get him to pose as he keeps on falling over due to bad leg joints so I have to find a balance that's just right for him.
My 6" Iron Man Mark VI figure has really loose mid-chest joints. As a result he can be fun to try to stand too. Finally my Desert Battle Captain America came with a warped shield clasp/peg. I spoke to a Hasbro rep via chat and was told I'd have to send the entire figure back but there was no guarantee I'd get the same figure back. Needless to say I passed on that.

I'm curious if anybody has been seeing bad paint application to their Marvel figures lately? I had never seen this until the last few months when I picked up the Psylocke figure. The paint on her shoulders is coming off because Hasbro painted her skin color over her blue outfit.
Secondly, the Deadpool and Wolverine from my Uncanny X Force team set have the paint rubbed off at their hip flexors. I do pose my figures occasionally but not enough to cause paint damage. Anybody else seeing this problem or have I missed some ongoing rant that MU collectors have voiced already? For $9 MSRP and no stands on the newer waves this is rediculous. |

There has always been a small percentge of MU with paint defects- usually you'll see the bad ones left on pegs- so if you're late to the party, expect everyone to have double-dipped their chips.
For paint overage- where some bit of red is on a blue part for example- you can take that off easy as pie with 90% rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. |

I saw a punisher with a white skull once...no eyes, or teeth. Just a big marshmallow skull. So yeah, that happens a lot.
