i have the same problem with my psylocke but it doesnt bother me as long as the paint on their faces is good.i always cherry pick the ones with the best paint apps. specially the paint on their faces...you gotta watch the eyes, hairline and all that stuff.

So far the psylocke I have is the worst. The other two are not as noticable since its on the hip joints. I've seen bad paint apps with figures on the pegs I guess I just got unlucky with this one. It just kinda irks me that we pay so much for these and they can't even apply the paint in a more effective way.

I have always thought MU has had some of the worst QC issues of any line.

We've already got a thread about MU Q/C and paint apps. Merged.
And yes, MU does have its share of QC issues and bad paint apps. It's been that way since the line debuted and it probably won't go away any time soon. Mass-retail products are always like that. As others have already said, just be sure to take a good look at any toy you are thinking about buying. Note any paint issues or potential defects and pick what you think is best for you.

I've picked up the DD/BE comic pack three times at three different stores (Kroger, 2 different Walmarts) and each time, DD's left hip popped right out of the socket and would not stay in after I popped it back in. The same thing happened with the SM/CB Spider-Man, same hip and everything. Anyone else have this problem with these sets? I'd love to get the IF/PM pack, but not with the luck I've been having

I was just thinking of this topic and then boom - there's a thread for it.
i was unpacking after my move and finally unpacking my mu which i left moc for the move. cyclops (jim lee version), iron fist (white suit) and darkhawk all came apart at different points. arm for cyclops, and right legs for the other two. i have almost every mu figure and have never had them come apart straight out of the packaging or even when testing the points of articulation. so yeah, i have to agree. i do see a bad quality degradation for the new mu. i still have a few more of that line to unpack. here's hoping they actually come out in one piece. and tomorrow i'm off to find another of the ones that are broken. |

My white suit Iron Fist had his leg stay in the package when I took him out. I wasn't surprised because I have always had issues with that body style, closely followed by issues with the Cyclops body style. Those legs never stay on. I just don't understand why they can't use the metal hip joints like the GI Joes have. I have never had a GI Joe leg come off.

The tiny Stormtrooper in your signature picture is awesome. If I have kids I'm definitely doing that.

It seems to be hit and miss. Worst I've dealt with was a vandrall who's mustache went up the side of his face on one side but was normal on the other. Other than that my Loki from the Walmart avengers pack has a loose leg as well as my green iron fist. I guess I've been lucky so far. That's not to say I don't study the heck out of all my options before I buy

other than dodgy paint apps ive been quite happy with MU,could be worse could be those "touch and break" DC figures,i would have bought a darkseid figure only for all the crap people went through with killer croc and the lantern 2 pack.

I have a FF Spiderman, single card, that has a loose right hip joint(not enough space carved out in the right leg). So it pops off a lot. I have the Bag Head Spidey and TRU FF Spidey which use the same body mold, neither of which have that problem.

Only real issues I had recently was a Beta Ray Bill with crooked teeth and a Scarlett Witch that was looking up. Overall MU has been pretty good. Even the comic packs seem to be a bit better. Much improved over the first couple years.

Man... I think the new MU Punisher is like the worst one... finding one with perfect or near perfect skull paint is almost impossible.
My Target got in a bunch of that wave on Sunday and I got to look through about maybe 10 or so Punishers and I only found one with decent paint apps on the skull part.

I have had a ridiculous amount of problems with bad shoulders on FF Spider-Man. The shoulder joint sticks and when you try to move it it stretches the peg on the bicep swivel to the point it will eventually break.

Pretty sure they are the same as Punisher. I had no problems with the Spider-Man from the FF two-pack but I haven't opened my white version yet.

I bought a Kraven, and one of his feet snapped off when I tried to move it; was able to find another one, and that one is fine. The most consistent problem I have with this line are the hip joints- they just aren't very sturdy, and have a tendency to not move right out of the package (which boiling water and/or the freezer can help). I don't know why they can't use metal posts for the hip joints, like classic 3 3/4" GI Joe figures- much more durable, and won't have the sticking problem.
