I'll probably end up getting Horizon Brave, but that Gipsy is a pass. I've always felt this, but is anyone else reminded of Lugnut from Transformers by Horizon Brave's design? It is particularly noticeable when looking at the reveal the shield/generations Lugnut figure. They both have cycloptic eye heads (technically Lugnut has five eyes but one is prominently the center), they both have three digit hands, and they both have large cylindrical shoulder mounts. Just something I noticed.

Gipsy's stump better be articulated or GTFO.
Seriously though, the Hong Kong Brawl (or whatever it's called) Gipsy Danger is my go-to for that particular Jager. Otherwise, they're really over-saturating the market with the damn thing at this point. I'm taking a pass on this one as well, and I think a lot of other people will also. Horizon Brave, on the other hand, looks groovy. I'd like to see it in-person before I make up my mind, but I'm digging it. I really enjoy the non-traditional designs a lot of the background Jagers in Pacific Rim employed...the main Jagers (aside from Cherno Alpha) aren't quite as interesting. |

Holy shit! I just actually read how Horizon Brave will have a launching missiles gimmick! I want it more now.

*stares at Horizon Brave, carefully examining the photos with a magnifying glass.
Hmm...which part will break right out of the box this time NECA?.... |

Unless they confirm Slattern, then what is the point of this Gypsy??? AND it would have to be a battle damaged Slattern to even be accurate to the scene with the chest blast. I mean if they are gonna do a Aliens Queen then I see no reason to not do Slattern.

I'd actually go with the knees. Tacit Ronin looked like the head would be fragile too but the head is probably the most dependable joint on my figure. I blame the weird mech designs for making NECA's QC even less trustworthy in the jaeger line, but I'll keep buying them because they look so awesome.
The Queen was a guaranteed seller, Slattern wouldn't necessarily. I hope they do make one, and they probably will eventually, but of all the kaiju it's apparent Otachi is the fan-favorite, hence she's getting her toy in "February" while Slattern is yet to even be teased.

Cool, another accesory pack for HK Brawl Gypsy Danger that'll allow me to reenact the atmospheric drop scene.
Comes with a free figure and another sword, too! |

I don't need another Gipsy Danger, but Horizon Brave looks bulky and awesome. Definitely getting him. The missile gimmick intrigues me, can't wait to see more.

Yeah I couldn't agree more that they are pumping out way too many Gypsy's but I feel like Ash Ketchum cause I gotta catch em all. The Hong Kong Brawl is the stand alone best one they have created. I also think we will see other unannounced Kaijus simply because the sheer volume of Jaegers they are releasing.
Has anyone seen series 5? A lot of sites say it should release in January but I have not seen anything. |

I have seen them at a comic shop, but not at Toys R Us yet.

Anybody think NECA will release figures of the armored Jaeger pilots?

Pretty sure they've said multiple times now that the pilots wouldn't be a guaranteed seller and they aren't on their priorities list for Pacific Rim stuff.

Suppose they're right. It looked good, but the armor worn by Raliegh and Mako was rather nondescript. Oh well...
