Pan's Labyrinth - The Old Faun Figure by NECA

This figure is absolutely gorgeous! I never got around to picking up the original release. I'll definitely pick this one up.

I have the original, I love it, and I'm still probably going to get this one too.

The first one came with the dagger and had a symbol on his bag.

Too bad they didn't throw in the little fairies but they'd be small and difficult to sculpt with detail.

The fairies were included with Ofelia, they actually came out pretty well for their size.

This looks great. I'll get it for sure.

Ah, I have the Faun and the Pale Man but didn't buy Ofelia because didn't think I wanted a figure of a little girl, I prefer monsters and creatures.

Although now that I know there are fairies I want a half-eaten one and grippable hands for the Pale Man.

Glad to see them releasing this again for those that missed it, but I am glad I bought the first one as I prefer the more detailed paint treatment and the faun having red hair instead of blonde. The dagger was a nice touch as well and I wonder why they chose not to include it with this release.

Because this is before Ofelia gave it to him. This figure is based on his appearance in his first scene, hence the pale eyes and less healthy colors plus his cracked horn, whereas the previous release was based on his later scenes in the movie where Ofelia's progress had somehow rejuvenated him.

I wish he had his roast beef or whatever it was he was snacking on as well.

The first one had way better looking paint apps IMO... plus the asymmetry of the horns of this one is not as visually appealing. The white eyes look kind of cool though I guess.

Just saying though with NECA going back to do this I wouldn't be mad if they rereleased Pale Man with his buffet table full of all sorts of enticements like those juicy grapes. I've been buying miniature dollhouse food for some time so that I could make my own but it's super expensive and I still don't even have a table to set all of it on.They could make it $100 and I'd buy it.
