Fucking BUMMER. I don't collect a lot of 1/6 scale figures, but I totally would have gotten this one. The preview version looked so sweet.
Hope the 7" figures still come out, but yeah, it's not looking good. Missed this post. lol, good one. Last edited by Dolemite; 03-05-2017 at 04:23 PM.. |

I honestly don't hold out much hope for the 7" versions of either The Thing or American Werewolf.

Guys, don't worry. The 7" Thing and American Werewolf figures are still happening. Jerry from PCS posts on a couple boards where he has confirmed this:
Statue Forum - View Single Post - The official ask Popcultureshock thread and on this board he posts as Anunakki, where he mentions they're waiting to offer pre-orders until product is closer to ready for release around Halloween: MovieManiacs Board Last edited by muffinhunter; 03-03-2017 at 03:20 PM.. Thanks for the info. These are some of my most highly anticipated figures...I definitely hope they make it out.

I'm pre-ordering all these the second they go up. Any serious Horror/Sci-Fi fan should have these in their collection.

The plan is to only offer them for pre-order once they are close to final production on them.
That, and Sota's previous track record, fails to fill me with hope. But I guess we'll see. Last edited by Dolemite; 03-04-2017 at 05:51 AM.. |

Great news,I'm still a bit nervous for these not happening but I have hope now. Anyone know the status of the amoktime toys monstarz series 7" scale re-animator figures? I was really looking forward to those.

I did get Amoktime's Herbert West 3.75" retro figure. He's okay. Their 3.75" Nate from Creepshow is great though. |

Previously they had run into issues with Jeffrey Combs' agent, who was making all sorts of outlandish demands (especially considering Re-Animator's limited cult appeal) and really slowing the process to a crawl. I believe there may have been some issues with the Chinese manufacturer, as well. Shockingly, the project isn't dead yet...they're giving it one final go, and I recall them saying that they're doing some re-designing on the figure, changing/adding articulation, etc. They stressed that this is probably the last chance for it to come to market, but that it's not 100% dead yet. That's a bad sign, in my opinion. That says to me that they're NOT fully confident that the figures are going into production, since pretty much every company selling anything on Earth loves getting pre-orders in ASAP.
That, and Sota's previous track record, fails to fill me with hope. But I guess we'll see. |

Actually, I live local to Amok Time's Hicksville, NY store and am in there usually once a week, and every so often we talk about the status of the Re-Animator figure...the last time was actually last week. I assumed with the lack of updates and the recent release of their retro figure, that the 7-inch figure was pretty much cancelled at this point.

Honestly, I'm not nearly as jazzed about the 7" scale MacReady as I was about the 12" one. The sculpt on the 7" one is just okay, and it's sorely lacking in articulation. It's just a statue from the waist down.
Yeah, sounds like a total BS statement to me. Yet another reason this guy's word doesn't really make me feel confident that we're ever seeing Thing figures at any scale. Quote:
Hey, if you ever have any contact with this Jerry character, could you pass along my desire to see leg articulation in these figures? That'd be keen. Last edited by Dolemite; 03-04-2017 at 05:48 PM.. |

Well, I hope you're right, as I would still like the MacReady figure and my girlfriend would love those American Werewolf figures. Can't view that forum without registering, which isn't happening. But I assume the figures are remaining statues from the waist down (provided they actually ARE ever released). Bummer.
