...holy shit.
I'm so blown away by this. It's perfect. I was going to joke around and "complain" that the wielding torch thing wasn't included, but no, there it is! I really had no intention of buying this, but now that I see the final product...I'm re-thinking my position. It's a great time to be a toy collector, I'm tellin' ya. And great pics as usual, dude. |

Thanks guys. Lots of little details on this. I do kinda wish the light on top lit up after thinking about it for a bit. But it's such a minor nitpick, and I'd only use it for the photo shoot. Hehe.
Seriously, I was blown away by this. I know people are going to clamor for the Hot Toys one, but this is less than $100.

Nice pictures as always.
It looks like she couldn't keep her hands holding the control sticks though. |

I explain in the review that I didn't have her holding the sticks to make it easier taking the pics. She can hold the sticks just fine, but for every pic, I'd have to move the Power Loader arms, move Ripley's arms, get the hands to grip, make sure they don't pop off, take the pic, and go again. For my own sanity and to save an extra hour, I just went with re-positioning the arms.

I'm sure industrious lad will customize one on this thing at some point.
How the hell are they giving us for (I assume) $99? I'm sure somewhere in some backwoods hell is a warehouse filled with starving, sweating children toiling away on NECA's power loaders. But you know, it would kinda be worth it for a toy this cool.

Wish I was in to the Aliens franchise because the designs are so cool, and NECA does a great job with these figures. I might have to snatch this up just based on the fact that its a "robot".

If you snag a Bishop to go with it, then you'll have two non-human pieces to the collection.

No worries. Wanted people to understand it wasn't a fault of the figure/design, simply my thick hands fumbling over the tiny pieces was just taking too much time.

Its just a shame the cage section isn't quite the right shape. The bottom should be wider than the top with the lower front bars tapering inwards creating a narrower front 'window'.
Also the black sections of the top side bars are in the wrong place. They should be next to the main body of the powerloader. Other than that, its an excellent looking replica. |
