If you had told me that one day we'd have action figures of the weird-ass nuclear bomb-worshiping mutants from Beneath the Planet of the Apes, I would have told you that you were on the finest of crack. Seriously, wtf.

As retro figures go, these look fun, not as based-on-a-bad-cartoon-that-never-existed* looking as some Reaction figures have been (the humans from the first wave are still cringy). Not $15 each fun, though.
Astronaut Cornelius would be a fun addition to the Star Wars cantina. If this is the first time anyone's made a Beneath the Planet of the Apes mutant I'm surprised...given the more obscure things that have had collector-aimed action figures over the last 20+ years. *Yes, there was a Planet of the Apes toon, but these figures aren't from that. |

On the fifth day of Apesmas my true love gave to me...5 soldier apes! 4 bomb mutants, 3 astro apes, 2 Generals, and a Lawgiver just for meeeeeeeeeeeeee!
