God I hope we get plastic gift sets of these things. The more Mospeada merchandise, the better! Also, the plastic MPC Voltron has done very well, and I've read reviews, a good number of fans prefer it to the diecast version, since it holds poses better.

An all plastic MPC Alpha may very well be more durable than the existing MPC Alpha. With the factory that produced the Beta now tooling the Alpha, this means great things for Robotech & Mospeada fans alike!

It's a nice hope, but we'll see how it pans out. If nothing else, it'll make a nice counterpoint to my Plastic CM's Legioss/Tread combo, since I love those figures in Robot mode but hate the jet modes, while I can't stand the robots of the Toynami versions but like the jets. Hah!

Hmmm. I wonder if I should wait for this or just get the bundle that Digital Toys is offering with the Aoshima Legioss with the Toynami Masterpiece Beta for $189.

Ron, you are taking a gamble with any Aoshima Legioss, the Beta is good, but I'd wait for the next Alpha MPC's, as the factory that Toynami and Aoshima used this time around for the Beta had GREAT results!

My Aoshima Legioss has a uninstalled right shoulder pin which is nearly impossible to push in, leaving it maimed, the ball jointed hands are loose, the fingers are not that durable, and overall it is too complicated for it's own good. It really should have been made from scratch as opposed to turning the 1/48 Imai kit into a toy.

Anyways Aoshima was responsible for engineering the Beta, and it turned out awesome, so odds are the next Alpha to come from them should turn out great.

Do we know when the new Alphas are slated? Or when this new package deal will be out? I need to make sure I have the money sitting there waiting for it. There is absolutely no way in hell I want to miss it. :lol

Summer.

The gift sets mentioned in my news post are in consideration, we don't know if Toynami will go ahead with it. I think they might considering they went this route with their MPC Voltron and later received rave reviews for it(some fans prefer the plastic one since the joints are not weighed down by diecast and therefore it can hold it's poses much better, not to mention is $100 less).

How much is shipping for digital toys on the bundle you want, and which color?

I see. Gotta add, the blue Legioss is MUCH brighter than the blue Beta, Aoshima used a really bright paint for that one.

There hasn't been confirmation yet, but I'm crossing my fingers. Plus since Toynami has said that Aoshima's factory responsible for turning out the Beta will now turn out the Alphas, I have faith that the next Alpha will be awesome.
