I've something like maybe 15 Kais, and except the rifle of Hitman, I never had any problems with them.
Actually, I never knew there was so many problems with Kais until I joined Toyark. Never had any problems with the ones acquired here in France.

Anyone purchased either of these yet? They look awesome. I've just noticed they've come into UK distribution but are they as good as they look?

About Catwoman movie version, I'd say she's very well detailed but not much pose able as others. She's prettier standing with her arms along than squatting like she's trying to sneak in somewhere.

Thanks for the info on Catwoman. She looks awesome to me, but yeah it would be nice if she could squat like she's shown in many images. Oh well!

Got some nice Kai prior to their release, so I decided to dust the digital camera and share with my fellow arkers!
-Poison Ivy is great, with nice bendable plants accessories, and a mini-carnivorous plant that can be used as a mini-display. Pros: Nice articulation Face is nice Love the second set of hands Nice paint job Cons: A little small The difference of color at the knee joints -Medal Of Honor guy is very nice as well. A lot of details, the face is particularly incredible. Not much accessories though, a gun and a rifle, that's all. The articulation is good, except the feet that don't rotate to adjust like RE5 Chris' ones. The character is not very interesting in himself and I would have prefered the bearded guy from the previous Medal Of Honor, more iconic. But people in military stuff will be astonished, it's a great quality item here! Pros: Face is amazing Very detailed costume Nice "rubber panties" type articulation of the hips Cons: Not a great character Lacks feet rotation

Another bunch of pics
PS: I'll post some pics of Supes and Zod tomorrow. These two are amazing, especially Zod.

I saw Arkham City Harley in my LCBS and noticed a weird texture on her face. I wasn't sure if it was a trick of the light or something. It was right next to a Poison Ivy fig and she looked fine. Anyone else seen this with a PAK before? I just pre-ordered Liquid Snake, so fingers crossed on that guy

I just preordered variant Batman, and really want the variant Flash and Batgirl. Are you guys and gals out there finding that as these Kai figs are getting better, worse or something else? I mean this in the sense of quality and durability, not that I plan on being a rough-houser with them, but as you all know they aren't cheap and I'd like your advice.
Has anyone had to fix a break in one of these or had to return one to square enix? I'm pretty much in, but I want to know what I'm getting into. Thanks Hilarious and silly, I just read page 4, I'll stay tuned and let you know how my Batman turns out Last edited by Serious Lee; 09-09-2013 at 08:41 PM.. |

I've had 1 of the pouches missing from my arkham asylum batman out of the box. But I couldn't get a replacement as I don't have an official distributor in my country.
Other than that, the usual problems are loose ball joints (easily fixed with some super glue or pledge future shine) and stuck toe articulation (fixed with either hot water or a hair dryer) |

Are those new stands for PAK any good? I wish the Mass Effect ones came with those since Tali has a hard time standing half the time.

@moviefiguresltd~ Here are some pics of The Joker along with The Dark Knight Returns Batman and Akuma. This is probably the best looking Play Arts I own. I only own these three, but It's probably the next best thing to a Hot Toys Joker I'm guessing.
The first one I got from Amazon arrived with a broken right arm inside the shoulder joint and a leg that would not stay on. I have the same problem with my Akuma in certain poses. It's a known issue. The return I was sent by Amazon arrived with a smashed up inner box and the paint applications were not as clean as the first. The only things I dislike are the very shiny red coat lining, the knees can look weird when bent and he can truly only hold one accessory at a time. He should have came with a rocket launcher, pool cue or hand gun. @Masterless~ The Play Arts stands are good for keeping the figures upright. I'd guess the only ones that you could do dynamic poses with would be the lighter figures. It sucks you have to basically destroy the packaging to get to the stands. If you are just looking to keep the figures from falling over, Kaiser doll stands are a decent cheap alternative as mentioned earlier. I believe you can get 12 of them for $15-16 shipped. Beats 20-40 for one Play Arts stand. You have to be careful with the Kaiser stands, they can rough up the plastic. I will be ordering the 1970's Batman and the re-release of the Joker. Hopefully he has better quality control compared to the first run. I have Ken on order through Amazon and I would like to get most of the other Street Fighter figures as well. |

These play arts kai are really awesome figures in my opinion. I only got 4 of them: big boss, solidus, raiden and meryl. Never had problems with any of them but i heard a lot of complaints. Due to the fact that metal gear releases are not many (i'm not into variants/alternate colors)i'm considering to buy figures from other universes. I really like that dark knight joker, ledger's face is well made. I also like batman variant, not sure if it's a good match with joker though. Do you suggest any other figures? I'm considering lara croft and agent 47 too.

Lara is a great figure overall, and so is Agent47, but he is a little bit "plain" for the price; you shall be a big fan of the character to buy him I guess.
If you're on the video games characters, I highly recommend deus ex hero, and resident evil series. Be warned that RE figures are not in scale with the other games figs though.

I really like these figures a lot, but I don't see myself collecting them anymore. I have dark knight Catwoman, Bane, and Joker. If anyone is interested in them shoot me a pm and we can talk price. Would prefer to move them as a set

Just received Wonder Woman and Green Lantern!
Though Wonder Woman's articulation is not as great as the other recent Kais, making her a static display piece, she's nice. The hip paint might be a problem for some poses The hi-heels are nice, but she only has one POA for her knees, limiting the poses You can't use the lasso, but the shield is nice Detail of the shield attachement and the hip poa You can also attach her shield on her back via a second necklace Overall a nice figure, but much more limited in fighting poses than other PAK, because of the 1-POA knees and the high-heels.

Green Lantern now!
His face isn't very Jordan-esque, and his overall look is a little bit edgy. Zoom on the construct part The construct helps getting dynamic poses Too bad the ring construct attachment can't be moved from the hand, you can't change the way it's pointed. The articulation is great, and let you get a lot of poses!

I was ambivalent in regards to Green Lantern ever since i first saw him. Something about the way he "was" in the promotional pictures that didn't bode well with me... seeing 'real' pictures from a collector, I'm more than certain that he will be a pass. Wonder Woman however is a must for me; though not having her sword does put her down a notch.
And if somewhere down the road Batman decides to descend from the hefty price, I'll be getting him as well. Nice pictures though!

I am tempted to get back into this line and to get the upcoming Assassins' Creed figures however I have very mixed feelings.
On one hand, they look way better than the McFarlane figures yet will probably have all the negative issues associated with predominantly PVC construction(AKA typical PAK problems). On the other hand, they cost a lot more and even though the McFarlane ones are cheaper, I don't necessarily want the McFarlane ones either. So my solution right now is avoid both and cross fingers that Tamashii Nations sees Assassins' Creed worthy enough for the D-Arts line.
