Can the forearms of Play Arts Kai figures be easily swapped out and in? I wanna try and put the Venom Sanke's prosthetic arm on the Ground Zeroes Snake figure. Also what figure scale accessories fits with Play Arts Kai? I heard that accessories from 12 inch GI Joe figures fits well but those are usually unpainted. |

I have my first PlayArts figure on its way - Darth Vader. Quite excited about it.
Are Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper due to be released at the same time? Last edited by Fyodor Hotpants; 06-27-2015 at 11:38 AM.. |

Fyodor, where did you order your darth vader from? I've been searching around most of the places that carry him are selling for over 170...was hoping to pay a little under that...
do you know if he's been discontinued or what not? |

He's very tough to get, unless you get it from Japan. I got mine from Amazon.jp and had it sent to a friend in Japan. Came to about $90 or so. There are still some there, but the price has gone up - even so, way cheaper than the US prices. I think there's something in the license that these figures are only for Japan (hence no SDCC versions etc. and them only being able as imports). This may account for the difficulty? |

Any word on if we're going to see any new Star Wars?
I passed on Maul - keeping Original Trilogy only - so hoping we get some more revamped classics soon. |

Apologies for bumping an old thread, but I wanted to get some opinions. I have quite a few Marvel/DC PAKs and am thinking of throwing away their boxes. Problem is, I know there are bootlegs of these figures and, if I want to sell them down the line, packaging partially helps prove that they're authentic.
Do you keep the boxes to your figures? Is resell value affected that much? I've looked at eBay completed listings and it's difficult to get an answer since there are so many bootlegs being sold. Also, if you don't keep the boxes and want to store them loose, what do you use? |

I personally have never sold a figure in my life.. nor do I plan on doing so in the future.
But the box and packaging never hurts. With that said, people can always sell a knock off in an official box. |

Since I don't intend to sell any of them, I always drop the package and keep all the small parts in a small box.
I guess the paint job is incredibly poor on the knock-off so a good close-up pic of your figs faces should do the trick. And by the way, happy new year fello arkers!

The only advice I can give with these things is 1) to order from a dealer that gets their stock from Diamond, 2) BE VERY GENTLE when manipulating the articulation for the first time, 3) NEVER use the freezing technique to free stuck joints and 4) to use the warm water method to loosen stuck joints instead of freezing. Local comic shops and dealers that order from Diamond Distributing can at least call Diamond to arrange for a replacement for a defective figure, it's how I got a replacement Chun Li free of charge. I caution against the freeze technique because of how brittle it makes thin plastic (which is often the cause of PAK breakage). The warm water method may soften plastic temporarily, which is preferable to hardening thin plastic since there's the chance it will bend instead of breaking during joint loosening.
Last month I got the Halo 4 Sarah Palmer and I have no issues here what so ever! I have a question, I read somewhere that Square Enix dropped the license for Halo, is this true? I was hoping to get a Red Team. I was thinking of purchasing Noble Team, the Halo 2 master chief, Halo 5 Master Chief and Sparta Batman. Are any of these having notorious issues like some of the other ones mentioned? |

I didn't realize a thread like for this line existed here on the forums. Very cool!
I recently got my first PAK figure - the Halo 2 MasterChief. I am pretty impressed with it and in general and happy with the purchase. Except that it broke relatively easily on me within in the first two days. The joint connecting the upper torso to the lower just sort of snapped. I was really upset as I paid a fair amount for the figure and to have it break within a few days suuuucked. So I loaded the joint up with Gorilla Glue and hoped I could retain at least some of the articulation. And to my surprise the glue has worked and the figure is still able to lean, crunch, and bend like things never happened. So I was greatly relieved. Not sure if this is a common issue with the figure or not. Still really impressed with it and it's totally my favorite Master Chief representation to date. I'll post some pics later. EDIT - I just went and read through some of this thread - DoesSquare Enixi still send out replacement parts/figures if you send them pics of your broken stuff? I may try that if it's a possibility.

I must say I do like Play Arts Kai, they make some great figures, such a shame they being cheaply copied.

I picked up Deadpool. Very Cool figures a little tough to balance. I purchased on eBay and the next day I noticed the white X Fource version. Any ways I'm do wish he came with two smaller hand guns. Thus my question. Any know know what guns would fit? Would the Ā¹/6 scale guns fit?

Not sure if best place for this, but Square Enix's holiday sale started and they have some figures that I personally had trouble finding elsewhere on sale (I picked up Wolverine)
