Will there be more team boxed sets- maybe a Masters of Evil set or Defenders?
Any chance for a mail away without th digital subscription? Something UPS related maybe for those of us that buy the figures? Last edited by Jason Abbadon; 04-26-2011 at 04:16 PM.. |

With the marvel digital subscription, does that mean that certain figures are off the table for being made if they are too similiar? (Like Uncanny X-Force Archangel with the black front since Marvel is using the silver front black costume Archangel. The same to Nick Fury and his Clone over in Secret Avengers.)

Curious as to why the new Gigantic Battle figures (Loki/Frost Giant and Goliath/Thor) have the Hammer packaging. Were they originally intended for release last year as part of the Hammer series?

Since there was no comic line tie-in with the Thor movie series, will we see more Thor comic characters (Sif, Odin, Warriors Three) and alternate costumes (Kevin Masterson Thor) in the Marvel Universe line?

I think the new Gigantic Battles sets were the comic line tie-in.

I miss the MU SHIELD cards. I didn't care about the online code entry thing, but any chance of getting the secret info cards back?
Also, some attention has been paid to comic Thor (Gigantic Battles) and X-Men:FC via MU, but it still seems like a missed opportunity to at least ramp MU back up to 6 character waves and put out some comic versions of Sif, Baldur, Emma Frost, Beast, etc. How soon can this be rectified?! And I'd like more info or teases on vehicles for MU. I mean, if they don't plan on giving us vehicles, they should have just stuck with Legends scale figures. Is there something being done about how the figures are packaged so that the joints aren't crooked?

Why are the vehicle offerings for the Captain America line not more strongly tied in with the movie?
Kids and collectors alike would probably be far more interested in Hydra mini-subs and motorcycles, tanks/APCs, Cap's own motorcycle, or even the Red Skull's car than repaints of Iron Man 2 vehicles that didn't seem to sell very well in the first place. Not to mention there'd be considerable crossover appeal to collectors of other lines (G.I. Joe most notably). Can you give us any more information on the 6-inch versions of the movie Captain America and Thor that were briefly glimpsed at Toy Fair? Last edited by Jmacq1; 05-13-2011 at 10:21 AM.. |

Seriously guy, you've expressed your hate in another thread and in a thread you started concerning this subject. Can you contain it to the specific thread you chose to create to discuss this topic?

I have one simple question.
"Will there be a Marvel Universe Doc Ock in 2011?"

-Will we be seeing more female characters now that there s the new female body mold coming out (with X-23, I believe)? Female charcaters are an almost untapped area for you guys.
-Will there be a new "fans choice" line of figures? -Is there a general rule you guys follow as to how many villians to heroes are in each wave? -Will there be more "army builders" like the AIM soldier and Skrull? A Kree soldier would be great (hint hint). -Any plans for a Defenders boxed set? -How far in advance do you plan each wave? -Does fan response affect what charcaters you produce (ie: popular charcaters prompt simmular new releases)? -Any plans for a mail-away figure based on UPC proof of purchase? I feel that's a better way to reward MU fans than the digital comics exclusives. |

Anything else I could think of to ask, doesn't fit within the confines of the rules. |

-Will we see new figures of Wave 1 characters done with new molds and sculpting (Daredevil, Punisher, etc)?
-is the SHIELD Flying Car (seen at SDCC) part of the MU line or some upcoming Avengers line? |

You need questions? Fine--
1. While I understand sales figures are a no-no, can I ask reasoning behind different versions of the same character? I cannot help but recall all the Batman toys of Kenner's early days, in which dozens of Sonar, lightning, capture net, capture claw, etc Batmen cluttered the shelves, and the villains were nowhere to be found. Why is it that, today, Arctic Captain America, Hammer Strike and Light Up Thor etc clog my shelves, along with over a hundred Iron-Men at the local Wal-Mart, by I can't find Red Skull or Crossbones or Apocalypse or Thanos to save my life without directly speaking to the toy section manager and begging to see new stuff before it hits shelves? Short, less passionate version- Why make dozens of versions of the same character that clog shelves, as opposed to more varied villains or allies? 2. With Captain America and Thor being highly anticipated and successful, respectively, are there any plans to capitalize on popularity with figures of characters like Baron Helmut Zemo, Skourge, Baldur, Ares, Batroc, Madame Hydra, Sharon Carter. etc, who are part of those mythologies? 3. How far back do you look for source material, and how far in the future can you see in terms of comic storylines to create new figure choices? 4. Are there any plans for more female characters? Elektra, Sharon Carter, Diamondback, Psylocke, Rogue, Hope Summers, Sin, Madame Hydra, Emma Frost, Domino, Typhoid Mary, Goblin Queen/Madelyne Pryor, She-Hulk, Red She-Hulk, Nomad (Rikki Barnes), Moonstone (iconic costume), Dagger and Photon, off the top of my head, have yet to be as much as discussed with fans. I know that children costumers are not always known for buying the female characters, but in my experience, Marvel female figures fly off shelves. 5. Are there any iconic characters the team is looking towards pursuing? Beast, Professor X, Nova, M.O.D.O.K., etc? 6. Has the team thought about "buffering" troop builders with leaders? Baron Strucker, Madame Hydra, Super Skrull, Veranke (or Spider-Woman Skrull variant) or such characters to put alongside armies would be greatly appreciated by fans. 7. Is it possible to put out Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes or Wolverine and the X-Men DVDs with an episode or two with figures from said episodes, similar to Hasbro's GI Joe sets and some of the Beast Wars toys? This would be a great chance for cross-promotion and a marketable reason to include new or redone characters with cartoons. Newly retooled AEMH styled Black Panther, or WATX Cyclops with coat or Iceman with spiky hair would be very interesting coupled with perhaps new figures, such as Malekith or Avalanche? |
