I'm a fan of the Ultimate Marvel series (Ultimate Spider-Man, at least). With an Ultimate Captain America on the Fury Files wave, the still-elusive-to-some Ultimate Iron Man out last year, and an Ultimate Spider-Man slated for release next year, will Ultimate Spider-Man villains be given some love? Green Goblin (easy Hobgoblin variant), Doc Ock, Vulture (he looks younger and more awesome), etc. A Gigantic Battles Ultimate RHINO, even? Ultimate X-Men designs are also good; Cyclops, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Storm and Colossus, to name a few. The first Ultimate Hawkeye, Ultimates 3 Wasp and the Ultimate Hulk are also good examples. The Ultimate Marvel line should get some love, shouldn't it?
While we're at it, What are the chances that we will see (still on 3.75"): - the unreleased Scarlett Johansson Black Widow figure? - a Marvel Universe Mandarin? - 90s/Jim Lee or modern Rogue? - Rescue (Pepper Potts in armor)? - Punisher: War Zone (or a similar one) Punisher? That logo over the bullet-proof vest is cool. |

The upcoming Scarlet Witch and She-hulk look fantastic. Kudos. They will be good bases for numerous energy projection characters like Emma Frost on the lithe Witch body or tall girls like Titania on the Shulkie body. The new bodies seem to blow the original female out of the water in terms of muscle tone and articulation but there are a whole range of fist-fighting women that don't seem to fit on either body like Elektra, Rogue, or Black Cat. Will a more muscular version of the female appear for these characters that need it or will the old female body continue to be recycled in these cases? p.s. Don't be afraid of MU women. We collectors love them!
A Psylocke was on display at SDCC and was essentially a repainted Phoenix figure. A majority of collectors have been complaining about the non-Asian hair, the non-Asian face, the non-ninja-like articulation (compared to X-23 or Scarlett Witch) and the non-accurate psychic knife. She's probably coming much too soon to change, but when collectors voiced disdain over the non-fisted Iron Fist or the ugly first attempt at Jim Lee Wolverine, running changes came soon to replace them. Can we expect a redo of this sub-par Psylocke amid an otherwise fantastic toy line some time down the line? The Team Packs are a great way to fill in teams and are well priced for what you get. The HERBIE, Groot, etc pack-ins have been wonderful bonuses. Does that package and price point lend itself to more flexibility in terms of getting needed larger non-figure items out like motorcycles, wheelchairs or sheep cannons or do merchants expect these packs to be just figures? |

The new 3 pack (sometimes 4) is a great idea of doing obscure team combos. Is there any chance of seeing teams like The Runaways, Young Avengers (since I see a Patriot, hopefully shorter in comparison other figures, though I doubt it), Current X-Factor team, or New Mutants teams?
For that fact, is there any way possible of getting a Wolfsbane figure of any size made? (Come on, werewolf fans all over need something other than that old New Mutants ToyBiz version). Even Werewolf By Night or Man-Wolf would be cool to get a hold of in LEgends or Universe sizes. |

1. How many Marvel Legends waves are planned up until now?
2. Is there a possibility of doing the current X-Force team in the Marvel Legends line? |

1)Has there been any consideration folding Iron Man and Spider-Man figures into the Marvel Universe brand, particularly during non-movie years, perhaps bringing in Captain America and Thor next year before the Avengers? There are many wonderful figures that many would love to see - particularly comic figures - that the movie lines seem not to be able release in later waves, where as the Marvel Universe figures don't have this problem.
2) Are there any plans to release a variant Sentinel down the line with classic colors and perhaps the tentacles/posable hands? 3) Many MU collectors are picking up Legends BAF to go along with their collections, as many are in pretty good scale with the smaller figures. Going forward, are you considering MU collectors as you design BAF? 4) Has there been any consideration to just using BAF molds to make the Masterworks figures, with some minor changes to improve on the originals, particularly with the Fin Fang Foom figure? Or using the smaller BAF with the Gigantic Battles sets? (But if you were to do Onslaught, please give him the Magneto head!) Last edited by perrych; 08-22-2011 at 03:56 AM.. |

After talking to fellow Canadian Toyarkers, so far none of us have seen Gigantic Battle packs, and Masterworks at Canadian retail. Curious to know if it is A: our retailers fault for not ordering these, or B: these packs just aren't available to order to Canadian retailers. If option B, then why?

1. There seems to be an increase of female figures lately, such as Psylocke, a new Storm, Scarlett Witch, She-Hulk, etc. Can we expect this trend to continue? There are countless more female characters available, which you of course are aware of.
2. A major source of fan demand comes from "support" characters, such as the already made Mary Jane, and others such as Jarvis, Gwen Stacy, Sharon Carter, Maria Hill and others. Has Hasbro looked into such peripheral characters to supplement the line? I know countless collectors are also looking into civilian figures. 3. Has there been any thought for younger characters? Franklin Richards, Hope Summers, Phobos and other "tykes" are abound in Marvel. It would be necessary to use outside-the-line or new molds entirely though. 4. How do you go about choosing which villains to include in the line? We have great big bads, like Kang, Magneto, Doom, Ultron and Bullseye, but people like Kingpin, Baron Zemo II, and Onslaught have been left out. What is the planning process like? Is it connected with who's popular or in something in theaters or in games or books? Are there connections we can look for as a fan community? |

It seems that a great business model that has worked for Hasbro is to produce comic figures in a movie line, e.g. W:XMO and IM2. Then after the movie interest subsides, Hasbro reuses the molds in the Marvel Universe line, e.g. Sabretooth, Wolverine, Deadpool, MkI Iron Man, etc. Additionally, it seems that there will be great MU potential to continue to make money on movie line investments going forward with un-tapped re-usable figure sculpts like Guardsman or Captain Britain (from Cap's movie line).
Why was this approach not taken with the Thor movie action figures, which seem to be suffering from a lack of collector interest? Does the Thor line experience and the ability to subsidize new MU figures via movie-line budgets increase the likelihood of comic series figures in the future as new movies hit like Ghost Rider, Avengers, Thor 2 and Iron Man 3? |

Will the US be getting Shocker like Canada has? Perhaps before SM4" line ends or in the beginning of the Amazing Spider-Man line?

The idea of creating team specific box sets has been a very good idea as it cuts down on the need of hunting down multiple figure to make a certain team. But I wonder, will there be supplemental figures made to expand these teams? Such as the X-Men team 5 pack has most of the Giant Sized X-men but are missing characters like Banshee, the X-Force team set is a mix of the 2 vesions of X-force and missing a number of their teammates. The new Guardians will only feature 4 team members but not the others.
Is it possible to see additional figures from these various team sets appear in up coming waves as sort of one off figures, ,or perhaps a second box set wave when the team roster is big enough to warrant another 3 to 4 (Like the X-Force team who could use a as yet released Vanisher, Wolfsbane, X-23, Fantom X, Elixer, ect.) |

Oh btw, when will Hasbro be answering the questions and where can we see them? Thanks!
And another question: With the Gigantic Battles line offering up the possibility that characters who are taller than some but not as great as the Masterworks in terms of size can be made, and with Patriot scheduled for release, what are the chances we will be seeing a Gigantic Battles Stature (hopefully with Kate Bishop/Hawkeye pakced in) in the future? |

Future Foundation spidey single carded, Foundation box set, Giant Sized X-Men boxset, Sunfire single carded. Etc. X-Force single carded Warpath, X-23, potentially psylocke later, team boxset (which yes mixes both). No clue on future boxsets for bigger teams though. I'd assume the sales data has yet to comeback on the team packs to determine that as yet. I second the question on the likelihood of future giant battle backs including how possible it'd be to see a dual female one like say Stature and Female YA Hawkeye. Considering the previous mantra has always been boys don't buy female toys, and yet starting in wave 6 it looks like we'll be seeing 2-1 female figure per wave again. Have the thoughts on female figures in a 'boys' toyline changed at all with the amount of female figures in the pipeline to come? Last edited by Snowflakian; 08-23-2011 at 09:41 PM.. |

Here's a question for Hasbro, why the fuck can't you ship to PEI ,Cananda? Hasbro toystore only used to ship to the USA only, now it ships to Canada, which is awesome, you ship to every province but PEI, BS!! for someone who has limited retail stores, online resources is a huge factor in making my collection grow, aka giving HASBRO more of my $$, and I'm cheesed that I get some stupid email response saying due to some tax issue we can't... bs.

Hasbro, why aren't figure stands included in the MU 2-pack and 3-pack products (and other products like the X-men GS 6-pack)?
The inclusion of figure stands should be a standard in all MU 3.75" products as it adds great value (at minimal cost, particularly if providing generic stands without the name tags) to the already high prices on the products. Even more needed for figures that can't even stand up on their own i.e. Taskmaster and many of the female figures with tiny feet. |

I like to know if Hasbro will have plans for the Marvel Universe line to release an action figures packs like the original X-Men including the Proffesor X, The avengers West Coast, the original Fantastic Four, etc.
Another one I notice in some two package figures have a low plastic quality and painting, I think you can resolve this with a quality control. At last in every wave Hasbro include an Spider Man or Iron Man in all their variants, I think the Marvel Universe is so extend to release more heroes or villains interetings to the collection. |

Oh,last poster's question has me thinking up another thing to ask Hasbro.
Question: Since we get Wolverines/Spider-Men/Iron Men in almost every Marvel Universe wave, what are the chances we would get to see some more popular costumes of these characters rather than repaints or head sculpt changes? You guys are doing a good job with the blue & yellow Wolverine last year, and the Future Foundation Spidey next year, but as this line goes forward what else can we expect from you of these characters? For example, Wolverine can have his Age of Apocalypse costume. Spider-Man still doesn't have his Big Time costume, his black and silver armored costume, maybe a Ben Reilly costume deserves some MU treatment as well? Iron Man should be able to have his 90s Modular Armor (the one from Toy Biz ML 2-packs, or the earlier Marvel vs Capcom video games). It's one popular armor we still haven't seen! Oh and speaking of Marvel vs Capcom, I know the ship might have sailed months ago but since Diamond Select/Minimates got the license, was it possible at some point that you could also have gotten that license or did you just not pursue it at all? Also, while we're on Marvel vs Capcom. Is there any chance at all that a Shuma-Gorath Marvel Universe figure could be made? Or a Marvel Legends (even a BAF or whatever) version? Just make one like MvC does, he'd have designated tentacles for legs, for arms, and his "hair"...even if it's a convention exclusive, as long as I get one here in the Philippines I'd be cool with it Speaking of Philippines (wow I only had one question to begin with). Not just the Phils, most countries outside America, if not all. Nick Fury and the X-Force Archangel, being Digital Comics exclusives, can never make it here, or at least make it here on a price tag that wont make me cry. I'm not sure if I can subscribe for the Digital Comics or if I can, if I'd be able to receive exclusives like them. I dont really want to call that incentive unfair, I guess it's also an incentive for me to move to America, but is it possible that these exclusives (and any future ones) can be made available to everyone outside the US? |

Some great questions, but just a reminder: Hasbro will not answer questions about future products or characters, such as "Are you going to do Fantomex next year?"

Pretty sure they already said no BAFs with the new ML figures. It probably doesn't rule out the possibility of them bringing it back someday, but I doubt it. Not when they have Gigantic Battles and Masterworks, which are approximately the same scale as the old BAFs (for the most part).

What exactly is the current state of Marvel Crossovers? We keep thinking they're canceled, because there aren't any new releases, then out of nowhere there's a new wave of repaints.
