They reused the gort mask for one of the Predators in the tribe at the end of Predator 2 and the Celtic Predator from the first AvP was inspired by it. It's ugly as all sin and I'm glad it's not the iconic Predator look.

Gort is the Jungle Hunter with the mask seen in these pics. The mask design was intended to be used as the mask in the original Predator, but the producers felt the design had too much in common with the face underneath and went with the more simplified mask that was used i nthe film.

He is part of the Lost Tribe at the end of Predator 2. (Sort of). There is a whole story behind GORT. The "GORT" figure is what the first Predator WOULD HAVE looked like if they had not changed the mask design in Predator 1. They used the unused mask from P1 and put it on one of the Preds in the ship at the end of Predator 2. So Technically Gort is not really seen in any movie.

You guys are all crazy if you think anything other than the mud Dutch is the best one. I can maybe understand getting the one with the sleeves if you want a catch-all version of the character, but the muddy one is just so damn good looking in person!
Also I'm a little bit bummed that they didn't make the red polo shirt Dutch from the beginning of the movie. It's literally the only costume change they haven't made so far. |

Wish they tooled a new dutch with the red shirt from the beginning of the movie. Line sells well, why not reward fans?

NECA's Dutch is some of their finest work in the 7" scale, absolutely adore them. Good to see a re-release, but just wish there was a Dillon too...

I get the sense that Randy at NECA loves Alien more, which is where the focus seems to be right now. They've been doing a great job at getting likeness rights there. |

While Randy may or may not prefer the Alien movies (there are two fantastic films as opposed to Predator which just has the one standout) I think the characters simply are more marketable or at least the marines are. Likeness rights aside the people from the Aliens movies are more fleshed out and memorable as where only Dutch's team boasts any remarkable characters from the pred franchise and even then a couple are forgettable.

What is that on Jungle extraction Dutch's vest? No way those are grenades, look more like tiny Christmas ornaments. That scale is kinda off. I checked on BBTS and predators are already sold out! I wasn't sure they would be that popular with the ultimate coming out

But the ultimate predator isn't pre-sold out, I find that amusing.

I believe that I like the closed mouth better on the Jungle hunter.I feel like it represents the character of that predator more.I feel like that predator was very calculated, a thinker rather than a hot head.

Very excited about these, I missed out on all of the Dutch figures the first go around, and that jungle demon looks killer, man my wallet is going to feel the burn for the foreseeable future.

They're Dutch (how appropriate, an inside joke from the film makers I'm sure...) V40 "Mini-Frag" Grenades. They were manufactured in the Netherlands and were very popular with special forces troops during the Vietnam war era due to them being so tiny and lightweight, yet still having a decent kill radius (about 16 feet.) Literally one of the smallest hand grenades ever used, and when you compare them to Arnold's massive frame in the film, I'd say they are about right...

Am I the only one who thought it was funny that they decided to call him "Jungle Extraction Dutch" instead of the more accurate "Jungle Insertion Dutch". Wonder how that meeting went.
