The design works a lot better as a collectible. But I'd rather forget this movie even exists at this point.

When this appeared at the end in the movie, it was like the final nail confirming that the series had completely gone off the rails. But it looks sooo good here. Maybe it won’t sell too well and they will offer a large discount

I really don't get why it's so hard to make a good Predator movie....

To be honest I like most of the Predator movies, at least from a mathematical perspective 3 out of 4 is a majority. The first is a good action-thriller, the second one got really cheesy but it's still a guilty pleasure of mine, and while Predators was largely derivative of the first I still enjoy it overall. It's really just The Predator that came in and certifiably nose-dived the franchise.

While I liked Predator 2 I always thought that Predator, much like for example Ghostbusters, was just a lightning in a bottle kinda thing.
You can try to replicate what made it good and can make all sorts of entertaining spin-offs but nothing will ever come close to the original. The kind of talent, creativity and passion that gathered to make that first movie a classic just won’t come together in the same way. And instead of trying to make that happen, use today’s talents to create new classics. I can watch the original Predator movie every year; I don’t need a new one. But of course, it’s always certain people trying to make cash with a well-known IP or a big name of the past, it’s nothing new sadly. @Topic: A well made piece for sure, but nothing I would purchase personally. |

The worst part of a movie of bad choices. Only saving grace was more work for Yvonne.
Seriously, retcon and forget. |

This would be really cool as a NECA toy.
I just don't understand why the guy who co-wrote the original missed what made it work so badly.

Probably same situation as George Lucas, he needed someone to co-write and veto the dumb shit, unfortunately he didn't have that for the prequels...

My favorite take on The Predator: It's like Shane Black got tired of all the studio notes and just put every one of them in.

The biggest problem with the movie is that they ditched half the film after a disastrous test screening (where almost none of the FX were done). Should never have been shown in that state. The Fugitive was supposed to be stealing an Ark full of creature/Predator hybrids, bringing them to a secret army which was working with Emissary Predators to protect against the upgraded clan.
So they tossed the story, and had no idea how to adequately reuse the footage they had, or what to do for the back half of the film. That’s why there are so many plot holes, and stories about what the ending would be. I doubt the original script would have been significantly better, but we’ll never know for sure.

I’ve mostly managed to forget this movie, the only things that stick are the painful Tourette’s exchange with Olivia Munn, almost doing a spit take when Sterling K. Brown suddenly accidentally kills himself, and how flat it fell in the theater when the big reveal of this “Predator Killer” suit happened. Forget the “Snyder cut,” I want the alternate version of this movie with the Emissary Predators. Probably still not good, but ridiculous in a more interesting way.
